The Society was founded in March 1932 and is the oldest exclusively model railroad club in the United States. They maintain 2,500 square feet of model railroad displays of steam and diesel freight and passenger trains and trolleys, plus so much more. It was fun to see all the parts of the display - it really gives you a glimpse into the history of railroading. It is not easy to find, as the doorway is tucked into the left front center of the building and the society is located on the third floor with no elevator. The display is normally open on the second Sunday of each month, except May.

The paths aren't clearly marked so you end up wandering aimlessly. There are sunken spots and areas where you can't tell if the ground is stable. There were random groups of people chanting right when we entered. The boardwalk toward the far end goes nowhere and there's nothing memorable or worth the walk to see. We saw a few lotus flowers and many lilies and a great blue heron made my day! Apart from that, a flop! I would probably never come back.

I was trying to pick up a package that was not delivered yesterday, I found out from Amazon that the delivery person for some odd reason did not deliver it but sent an update to Amazon that the package was being held at the Post Office "at the customer's request". That would be an odd request since she got it while out on her deliveries and the only one that could make a request like that would be me. One of them laughed and said she (package carrier) does that sometimes where I told her that was a lie. Her response was "I know" while still laughing. This is crazy!!! Before this office moved the employees were older ladies and always courteous, kind, and helpful to the best of their ability. We are spiraling down the toilet fast!

From the beginning, the driver was late which put the family in panic mode. They had lots of luggage that needed to be loaded and the driver showed up 8 minutes late, which caused unneeded stress. Calls to customer service to check on the car were immediately put on hold and then disconnected. Rather than putting the family at ease, the dispatcher was rude, sarcastic, and dismissive and ruined the ride for the family. I later spoke with the manager & owner, thinking they would make it right, but instead, they made excuses and dismissed the complaints & concerns as "things that happen". The fact that this company puts themselves first before their customers and makes excuses for their own actions, speaks volumes about their lack of customer service & satisfaction. I do not recommend this company ever!

The quality and detail involved in the instruction here is superb - you feel like you're being given all of the information you need, from the basics to more complex properties of the helicopters. There was no point where I felt like the information was overwhelming or over-simplified: it seemed like the right mix of education and beginner's instruction. As for the flight, it's a blast! While I was far from talented at piloting the helicopter, I was given quite a lot of control over time, and I felt increasingly comfortable as time went on. I felt safe and monitored the entire time - even when a lot of wind blew the helicopter around, the instructor was available to make things right quickly and effortlessly. Needless to say, if you have the time and the money, give this place a shot!

He was very personable and knowledgeable. He pointed out various landmarks and places that we would be interested in seeing. He took the time to explain everything and throughly check the vehicle, it made us feel very safe and comfortable. Seth answered all questions, and even cracked a few jokes. I would definitely recommend them for celebrating a special occasion or just a romantic date. Make sure to ask for Seth by name you won't be disappointed!

It's also super clean, quiet, and well laid out. This branch also boasts what is called a "Dream Lab", where a super friendly and skilled dude named JD will help you out with a cool array of 3D printers, a recording studio, etc. In places like this beautiful library, it's the people who work there that makes you glad that you visited. 5 Stars - Best way to see DC at night! We did a 2-hour…read moreevening monuments tour with Nonpartisan Pedicab on June 23 and it was outstanding. Rob and Don were excellent. They responded super fast when we asked to move our pickup up an hour after we finished dinner early, and they made it happen without any problem. Rob even spoke some Mandarin, which was a huge help for our nearly 80-year-old grandma who doesn't speak much English. Their history knowledge is fantastic and they customized everything to what our group wanted to see. The weather was perfect that night, and the ride felt magical. We got to spend extra time at the spots we loved, and they even let us take extra time at the Lincoln Memorial at the end without charging us more -- such a kind touch (we offered to pay but they wouldn't take it). Smooth navigation, never rushed, thoughtful (they even brought a blanket just in case), and genuinely enjoyable for every generation in our group. This is by far the best and most flexible way to see the monuments up close. We had an amazing time and will 100% book them again next time we're in DC. Highly, highly recommend!
