The next lifeguard opened it up for a bit when we asked for it but also said they are understaffed and technically need more lifeguards on duty to have it open. The water is chilly at first but it's warm inside so you adjust (nothing like Rumsey lol). There was an underwater spin class happening too - so cool! There's also free life jackets, kick boards, and noodles! There's a gradual entrance - perfect for toddlers (the splash features were off though). I love the huge windows letting the sunlight in. We will definitely be back! Would be 5 stars if they get it fully staffed so everyone can enjoy the slide!

The first time, it was a questionable atmosphere. But that was also during the summer and seemed like a lot of the youth used it as a means of escape. There's a small parking garage underneath the library. (The garage closes when the library closes... so no dawdling!) The front desk staff was friendly and helped me get my new library card set-up. She helped to reset my account, gave me a bookmark which also noted the library hours, walked me through the different resources available, and was willing to answer any questions. You can checkout up to 75 items! The library space was new and modern. There was a community event being hosted in the meeting room when I visited. There are so many services and events that the public library offers beyond books - I dare you to check it out. As everyone's favorite aardvark once said, "Having fun isn't hard, when you've got a library card!"

We arrived about 20 minutes before opening, which I would highly recommend, because the security line got long fast. We were able to go inside before many got in and had beautiful views without crowding. The inside is absolutely beautiful. Several displays explain the paintings and architecture which was really interesting to read about. We were also able to see the original rough draft of the Declaration of Independence. It will only be on display for three months so this was really neat we were here for that. Definitely take your time and look around instead of just walking through. There is so much detail everywhere you look.

I took the advice of one of the people and went into the viewing room first, but I wish I had gotten a later "timed entry" to see the library itself so that I could've taken the time to learn what I was looking at. If I were to do it again, I'd follow the order online of how to view the Library of Congress, and I'd time the viewing of the library itself to be the last part. Fun fact: you also can get a library card for the Library of Congress! As long as if you fill out the form and have an ID, you can get a library card the same day and it'll last for 2 years.

With the exception of children and some adults in the front entry / lobby, as they go up and down the stairs to the children and teens area upstairs. There are many comfortable seating options if you have a lot of work or reading to do. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and there are a surprising number of computers available for a library of this size. The upstairs floor is only for children and teens & the space is really bright and cheerful, inviting. They have a separate large computer lab with at least 10 computers, but I think it requires a group reservation. They also have a very large conference room that would comfortably host 40 people. There are a lot of community & library events and committees and organizations that meet here. The library has a lot of active community members on their friends of the library team, as well as other groups. Since so much space is dedicated to the computer lab and large conference room, the three study rooms are frequently booked ahead of time ... but they are very nice, clean and spacious. The restrooms are pretty clean and don't require a key from the desk. The library also has a water bottle filler .

For all of my years that I have lived in the area, near here, I have never known about this…read morelibrary. It is easily to be located on the corner, with plenty of parking. I love how when you first walk in there is a board for information and community events. It appears to be pretty spacious with lots of computers to work on. Another thing that is pretty great, is that they have FREE activities, like a chess club, and and a conversational club for ASL, English, French and Spanish. I can't love it anymore. Now that I now where it is, I'll be checking to see if they have toddler time for my little. Librarians are the best, as always, and I will definitely be back now that I know where it is.
