Fired employee who was in a serious car accident while running errands for the law office/company time. Sent employees mother text message stating she was fired because "the employee owed the Boss a phone call to explain herself". She was a passenger in a car that was hit by someone else. The drive of the car she was in died in the car accident. The employee was in a coma for 4 days and ICU for 10. Total of 20 days in hospital and this man never called to check on the employee. Employee lost part of her small and large intestines, part of ascending, descending, transverse colon, and lost her spleen and appendix. He had already hired someone in her job and packed her office up weeks before texting employee's mother to say she was fired. Then canceled her Medical benefits knowing she has extensive medical expense. Does not have Cobra and claims he doesn't have workers compensation. Employee needs 2 more surgery's and no way to pay for them and he didn't care enough to let her pay her insurance cost and keep her covered. Then lies to everyone about why the employee was fired instead of manning up and telling the truth. NOT GOOD. (Text message can be provided for proof that this is not a lie)

Less than 48 hours before we closed, the secretary called & said she needed to schedule my signatures, for a totally different week. She didnt explain why, just hey too bad your significant amount of money will be coming much later. When I pushed back, she called me rude, even though I never raised my voice or used any foul language. I just wasnt going to accept a different date. She told me the lawyer had gone out of town, then state, then he was out of the country & had no cell phone access. Then she lied & said he had had an emergency. I requested he call me, & finally just disconnected the call. He did call me, later that night, & told me he only took 1 vacation a year & this just so happened to be the few days he took. He had that contract date for over 3 weeks before his "impromptu" vacation. During the conversation with both he and his secretary, I had to ask them both several times to stop interrupting me as I was speaking. Both of them would just begin talking over me while I was speaking. This is extremely rude and unprofessional. Again, at no point did I raise my voice, use ugly words, or act disrespectful to them. I just asked them to do the job he was paid to do. I agreed to a closing date of Monday, 4 full days past the original, drove over (we do not live locally) & was then informed the buyer had agreed to the further closing date. This was after I stepped on a dog bone treat and slid in the front office, and had to listen to the extremely shrill barking of his dog. Yes, in the office. It barked every time someone walked by outside, in a shopping/business center, so a lot. Not the dogs fault, but there wasnt even a sign on the door warning, in case of extreme allergies, and with the way it barked & carried on, it sure wasn't a service dog. Once we entered the office, we were forced to wait 22 more minutes because he was doubled booked. Finally, we were told to step into a conference room. Mr. Cox then handed the paperwork to my husband, who was not on them! He didnt actually give me any papers, tell me any numbers, or communicate with me at all. He handed my husband the papers to give to me. He talked to my husband. The house was mine before I met my husband, so all he had to sign was the we were remarried paperwork. Finally we completed our business, and Mr. Cox did not even have the decency of telling us we were finished. I had to ask him if that was all. When we left the office, Mr. Cox did not even speak to us. There was a significant hold up with the closing, which was not the lawyers fault, but at no point did that law firm call us and tell us not to drive -again, not from that town - to get the check, even though we were scheduled to pick it up. I certainly wasnt paying him the $50 he demanded to mail it to us. My realtor let us know hours ago that the check was ready, and the law firm still hasnt called to say its ready. Finally, when we came to pick up the check, they never asked for id as required by them according to the legal documentation. Please do yourself a favor and pick someone else. I am incredibly disappointed and frustrated that I had to pay this man a large fee to complete a legal task, which wasnt done on time, and he and his staff are extremely disorganized, unprofessional, and rude, on top of the lies. Save yourself the frustration and pick a different firm, please.
