My employer changed insurance carriers and my Dr did not accept my new insurance. So the search began for a new Dr & being extremely picky and somewhat of a hypochondriac who has a need to Google everything, I needed to find someone who understood me. I bounced around a bit & I was never happy, that is until I met Dr. Alexandra Santini, M.D., FAAFM who is with the Personal Physician Care group. Not only does she accept my insurance but I feel she understood me; without thinking I needed to be baker acted with my obsession with Googling every symptom I have & then of course thinking I had some rare medical condition. The state of the art facility features in-house lab work, digital x-rays, EKG and echocardiograms. I had an EKG and it was so nice having it done right there in the office. I'm going back for lab work & the lab is just one door over. I love the convenience of having everything in one office. I didn't indulge, but there is a Keurig coffee maker in the waiting room & I overheard someone saying they have tea k-cups too. I found Dr Santini to be kind, caring and warm. Dr Santini also has a great personality and she made me feel very comfortable. It feels so good to have a new primary who I feel comfortable with. Checkout their website: www.ppcare.net. The office is on the south side of Linton Blvd just a few feet east from the intersection of Linton and Military Trail. Poppy's is next door if your looking to grab a bite after your appointment. The receptionist was very helpful with my insurance, the nurse taking my vitals was friendly & making an appointment was easy because they actually answer the phone. The patient checkout person was relaxed and very friendly. She was juggling a few things at once yet she remained calm and always had a smile on her face. A real smile, not a fake one and I can tell. The beautiful thing about this office are the people who run it. Every person I encountered was warm and caring.

I have several major disabilities. I am an extremely respectful person, and Im not a complainer, but I will voice my opinion if I'm wrongfully disrespectEd. I caught Covid at the end of December. I had a fever for a couple of weeks (among some other symptom). The second day after I got the virus, I was in line for two hours at MD Now (Urgent Care) getting tested. After a week of having a fever I called Dr Santinis office and left a message with the Pa. After three days, ( on a Friday) the PA called me back to tell me that Dr Santini hasn't replied to my message yet. So I made a virtual doctors appointment. At the time of the appointment she telephoned me which in the past she made it a big deal to use virtual FaceTime through a physicians network. I explained to her what I had and testing positive and a controlled pain medication I've been on for many years not really keeping my fever at bay. She then blew up, and demanded to know who gave me that medication. She got very hostile. Then she said "Oh, I see your very heavy." (I am what I am, it's hard to lose weight when you can't move around very much, besides what does that even have to do with anything)? Then she said, if you feel you need an xray or anything else go to MD Now and get it, don't come here. And besides, it seems like your on the mend. She was making insults and she didn't even read my chart to see who I was, and why I take a lot of medications. I've been to her seven times, and each time I ask for a refill on my medication, it's like pulling teeth. Needless to say, I am switching to a different group of Doctors. Even if she was having a bad day, shouldn't you look into a patients chart before making accusations? I see the PPC business office reads these, but they seem to only reply to the positive reviews. Although Alexandra Jones is not an MD, she is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and I honestly wouldn't want anyone else as my primary care provider. I see specialists for basically everything, so having a primary who is compassionate, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and truly attentive is what matters most to me. She never makes appointments feel rushed, takes the time to really listen, and always makes me feel comfortable and cared for. It's also very easy to get an appointment when needed, which I really appreciate.

When I asked what the value was she then (incorrectly) told me; she got it wrong by 2x. 2x the normal value is super concerning. I was told to schedule an appointment with a specialist after they told me a second lab test was "the same as the first" and I did, but the assistant never sent over the labs I requested she send over. The day before the specialist appointment I have to hunt down my lab work myself to bring and discover that was I given the wrong value over the phone and that my lab results were actually normal for me. So I've been stressing about this for months for no reason and its nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone to even explain to them how frustrating this was. The specialist's office tried calling them multiple times to get the labs over the course of a month and never actually reached anyone.

I disagree with the other posters except the one who stated she's difficult to reach for comments on blood work and to visit in hospital because I haven't experienced those needs. However, I can say she pays attention to me, considers what I'm saying, and remembers me and even personal details of prior conversations. I'm a big fan:)

I was a new patient here and had seen the same internist for 25 years, who has received numerous accolades on many levels. No EKG was administered, she refused to look in my throat because she claimed there were Covid issues. I am fully vaccinated and had seen a dentist 6 times in the last 4 weeks. She did not feel my neck or check the glands in my neck, either. The rest of the physical exam was very perfunctory. I was wearing street clothing and was not even offered a gown. The office was cluttered and grimy. She never asked if I had any health issues in the last year or was there anything I wanted to discuss about my health. Her demeanor was so insensitive and completely unprofessional. Prior to my "exam", she spoke to me about the two medications and the vitamins I was taking. I have been on sleep aids for 21 years and she outright called me an "addict" on several occasions and that I needed to see a psychiatrist to get off these meds because she "isn't a drug counselor ". She also told me I was taking too much calcium although I take the amount the label on the bottle suggests, and my regular internist has always approved. I was contacted 10 days later by an office worker about the outcome of my bloodwork and was told "everything was ok". I expected the doctor or a physician's assistant to call to discuss my bloodwork. I asked various questions about my bloodwork such as my cholesterol level, what was my good cholesterol level and what was my bad cholesterol level, and the office worker seemed confused. I wanted to ask additional questions relating to my potassium and magnesium levels but I realized I was dealing with a receptionist. All things considered, stay away from this doctor. She was rude, unprofessional and did not perform an annual physical the way one should. And her demeanor were beyond unacceptable.

They are, generally speaking, as cold in temperature and bearing as any military building. The VA clinic of Delray is more 'ol school. I have been many times, in fact i was there just this week and it was quite pleasant. But I do recall the first time I was there. I had transferred from Broward county to Palm beach county VA system because I had moved. I had to go to get my initial consultation and blood work. After parking in the small parking lot, much, much smaller than the large VA hospitals(which was nice), I walked in. The initial feeling was that I had transported back to an early 1980's family doctor. The carpet and and paint and layout felt very of-another-time. The people were retro as well. The older patients were in bygone outfits and there was many loving older couples(you don't see younger couples like that), clasping hands in the waiting room. I'm fairly antisocial, but I enjoyed talking to a couple of the other visitors. After a fairly average visit with the doctor and great service throughout, I was on my way. I was happy to know my new clinic was one I would look forward to going into.
