I needed to make a repair at the doorway that was widened to accommodate wheelchair access from the master bedroom to the master bath. Merit's representative, Isaiah Parham and I agreed to repair carpet taking swatch from my master bedroom closet that would match existing carpet. In addition I had 1 piece of laminate flooring that bubbled on the surface needing replacement. I had extra laminate for that repair. I subsequently was quoted $800 to make the repairs. This, in my personal opinion, is a very outrageous price given it should only take 1 hour max to make both repairs. Due the lack of good faith in providing reasonable pricing for this repair, I would never ever recommend Merit Carpet due to their lack of basic customer service.

It took them almost 2 years to come and look at it and by the time they came to look at the damages it was June of 2025. They came out and told us the owner would have to come look at these damages, he never came so we reached out again in October of 2025. The finally came out well over a year after we initially reached out. They said they wouldn't fix the damages because they were "caused by the hurricane". We told us we reached out in June of 2024 which was before the hurricane. He couldn't show us the "damages" from the hurricane. He refused to even look at the roof. He didn't get on the roof, couldn't show us the damages "caused from the hurricane" and completely refused to help at all. Told us to take him to court. Horrible company. Wouldn't recommend them. From the workmanship, to the people in the office, to the owners. They will do a bad job then refuse to help afterwards. The owner is extremely condescending and refused to help from the beginning.

All South put on a new roof in one day, cleaned up and picked up everything. Next, we had new windows and soffits installed. Next project was removing the cedar siding then hardie board installed. So pleased with every aspect of the work that was done. All this was accomplished over a 10-11 day period, even working on a Saturday to stay on schedule. I gave them 3.5 weeks to complete because the garage was empty prior to move in. They guaranteed no problem. They didn't start until the movers came. I had to rent a pod for 450 bucks at my cost. The moved stuff into it, but I had to pay someone else to put it back. Was too heavy for me.. They removed a utility sink for the flooring install, but said they wouldn't reinstall it. When they hauled trash away, they wanted the sink so they could repurpose it in their shop. You won't reinstall it,, but youll take it for yourself?? I hate to leave mediocre reviews, but too much didn't go as expected. There were some small heavy flake spots that they offered to come back and sand down and refinish, but it wasn't a big enough issue to worry about and move stuff in the garage again. The clear was put on too heavy though. My friend slipped and bashed her knee because it's was too smooth along with her wet shoes coming in from the rain.. Overall, it looks nice, but I think it could have been a better experience and finish.
