Absolutely loved the Isle of Skye Ultimate Tour! Murdoch and Andrew were fantastic guides - knowledgeable, funny, and super friendly. The bus is new and it's very comfortable. The scenery was just unbelievable, and they took us to some amazing hidden spots off the beaten path. The whole day felt relaxed and well-paced. Easily one of the best tours I've ever done. Highly recommend I saw a previous review that indicated that you may not get to see the fairy pools due to the road. That has been redone and it's smooth sailing. read more

The sites visited were good but the tour guide Murdoch did not stop talking for the entire 8 hour tour. It was endless stories that had nothing to do with the areas we were going through nor did he stop talking long enough for any questions. His stories were like he was on a stage performing some Shakespeare play and we were his captive audience. The last hour was spent by him telling about he and his girlfriend being caught in some bog while hiking. If you want to learn about the areas you are riding through and about Scotland and not spend 8 hours listening to a nonstop performance then I would not chose a WoW tour with Murdoch. read more

Our trip and driver, Andrew, were both fabulous. The trip was everything it promised. The food from the bakery they use was also top notch.

They really are WOW!!! Murdoch (aka Mr Fabulous) is an amazing tour guide, historian and kilted story teller. I learned so much, saw so much and had a spectacular time. Murdoch ensured we had enough bathroom breaks, got the best views and knew the significance of what we were seeing. I am so glad we took this tour. It was the best last minute decision we could have made. The only disappointment is that we brought our lunch. The lunch you can purchase when you board looked and smelled so much better than what we brought. 10 out of 10, highly recommend, do this tour and you be so happy you did. read more

This was one of the best tours I've ever been on! Our tour guide Andrew was engaging, hysterically funny, and kept us entertained with his riveting story telling. You can tell when tour guides hate their jobs/wish they were doing something else but not Andrew. You know he loves his job and loves Scotland just from listening to how passionately he talks! We did a 12 hour tour to Isle of Skye and had so many amazing stops to see a lot of the highlands and plenty of drive time to nap and relax so you weren't exhausted by the end. I love how this tour company supports small local businesses like Isle of Skye Baking where everyone could special order lunch, including handmade fresh pasta salads, sandwiches, scones, shortbreads, and other yummy desserts. There were multiple chances to use the bathroom which was very accommodating. The tour was amazing, the scenery was beautiful, and Andrew was simply the best! If you are coming to Inverness and looking for a tour, look no further than WOW Scotland! read more

My group and I couldn't have picked a better bus tour. We were lucky with the whole bus group being smaller and the nice weather, however, what really made the trip, Andrew, our tour guide was amazing, funny, kind and very passionate about what he does. The food provided by the tour was amazing. Every stop, Andrew gave us clear instructions and plenty of time to explore. All history, stories he provided made the trip more interesting and we loved hearing his back story. If we ever come back to Inverness, we will try this exact tour again. read more

What a fantastic tour! We took the Isle of Skye tour and loved it all. They jam pack a whole lotta sights into 12 hours of driving. I love that they have a driver and a guide entertaining and filling our tour with information and friendly conversation. The day started off poorly with Andrew leaving us at our hotel. The whole issue ended up being a he said she said situation where the hotel told us Andrew gave the wrong name and Andrew saying the hotel said no one existed under our name. Who knows the true story but no one ever offered an apology and instead made us feel stressed about the situation and almost even left us. When you book through a hotel and it is supposed to be a hotel pickup, you should take the extra steps to ensure a smooth experience for the client. Especially if you have had an existing relationship with the hotel. We certainly weren't the first guests ever to book WOW through the kingsmill. While the rest of the tour was enjoyable and the isle of Skye was gorgeous and Andrew was nice throughout the day. He spent a bit too much time telling us about himself rather than Scotland. I wish I could give a better review, however, the day was overshadowed by issues caused in the morning and the finger pointing that we, the guests, were caught in the middle of between WOW accusing Kingsmill and Kingsmill accusing WOW. Inappropriate for both organizations to be accusing each other in front of the customer. Sort out your issues behind the scenes and make your priority taking care of the customer (you are in the hospitality industry after all). read more

I was so impressed with WOW tours! I researched tours for Inverness the day before traveling to the city. Much to my delight, they have private walking tours for 90 minutes. I sent an email inquiring about availability and received a message from Kay just minutes later. She had a guide available and we immediately booked a tour! Sandy, our tour guide, was wonderful. He truly made our afternoon in Inverness a wonderful experience. He is very knowledgeable with a fantastic sense of humor. I would recommend one of these private tours to anyone. Ask for Sandy! We actually booked this tour BEFORE we had our flights to the UK! Good thing it turned out to be more than we imagined it would be. The tour was supposed to include several distilleries and possibly the cooperage. However, as we pulled into Glenfiddich they were in the middle of an evacuation (fire trucks were there!) so the cooperage was a definite go. That place turned out to be an amazing stop where we got to see the men working incredibly hard on the casks. Looked like Santa's workshop in there. Anyhoo, Gordon was the absolute BEST! And because of the issue with Glenfiddich they gave us all souvenir glasses, as well as extra whisky to drink on the way back to Inverness. We also had a brief stop in the middle of the road so we could all get off the bus and visit the famous Archie the resident Highland cow. I would've given high marks even without them giving us even more to drink as the tour was so good. Each distillery gave us a decent amount of whisky to taste, as well as their own interesting histories. And Gordon himself was a fount of information on the area. He even called a restaurant and got us dinner reservations for that night! Definitely one of the highlights of our Highland/Speyside visit! read more

I took this tour a couple of years ago and it was one of the best I've ever taken! I took the one for the Isle of Skye out of Inverness and it is a day I'll never forget. Not only was the scenery absolutely gorgeous (the most beautiful place on Earth in my opinion) but the quality of the tour was phenomenal. I had an incredible time on the 1 Day Tour to Isle of Skye, from Inverness on July 14th. Sandy was our tour guide. He was funny, extremely informative and personable. I was travelling alone so I really appreciated how he took time to engage with each person. I loved the fun and thoughtful soundtrack that he designed for the 12 hour tour. Christian , large and in charge, was an excellent driver who kept us safe, navigating windy roads all the way. I researched lots of tours to Isle of Skye and it was even more than I had hoped for. I was on the tour to the Isle of Skye. This tour was fantastic. Our guide, Sandy, was delightful. He was relaxed, well-informed, and entertaining without being annoying. He was willing to answer all questions, and kept things moving. He threw in a few Gaelic phrases, and lots of history. The locations were all photo-worthy. We were allowed plenty of time to take photos, wander around and get good views of everything. The bus was brand new! There was typical Scottish weather -- clouds, sun, mist, rain, etc, but that was part of the experience of being in Scotland. I highly recommend WOW tours, and would definitely choose them again. read more

We took the Isle of Skye tour with Paul as our guide, and it was a lovely, full day! Paul was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. He has been a photographer for 30 years so he really seemed to know the best vantage points at which to stop and capture the most beautiful scenery in every location. He also offers to take a photo of the guests with their own cameras/phones, and his photography skills really shine here -- the photos he took of us were the absolute best we've received in our several months holiday in Scotland! Paul had fun stories and history to share throughout the entire tour, and even more impressive, he has a breadth of knowledge so wide that he is likely to know answers to a variety of questions, including obscure ones. We took a day long tour and visited Loch Ness, Isle of Skye and the fairy ponds just to name a few of the stops. Our guide Paul was super friendly, knowledgable and had an infectious enthusiasm for the area. He made great recommendations for photo spots and lunch options. I have been on many tours in Europe and this one is by far the best I've been on. Even with occasional "moody" weather we had an absolutely fabulous time. Our guide was flexible with our needs- traveling with our older parents. I can't say enough about how awesome our experience was. It was long day but well worth it as we covered more than we could done in three days on our own. read more

Wow Scotland Bus Tour. Our day at Isle of Skye was beautiful and magical and one that I will never forget. Gordon was the perfect guide with a wonderful accent and really interesting facts about Scotland and the island. He had us laughing often and was a fabulous model for our photos with him. The weather was typical...rainy and cold but it didn't spoil the beauty one little bit. Thanks for all of the stops at pubs so we had some Scottish whiskey to warm us when needed. Our day ended with the most spectacular clearing of the clouds which gave us blue sky, a rainbow and and awesome sunset. We spent 13 days in Great Britain, but our WOW Scotland tour of Isle of Skye was by far the absolute best day of our trip. I have already recommended it to friends who are planning trips.
