One day. One event that changed it forever for me. The anniversary of John Lennon's death. This guy went on a tangent of making fun of it and the people who still mourn to this day. Saying how overrated he was. Telling people to get over it and how his music wasn't good and blah, blah, blah... Saying how classic rock sucks and so on...Really, DICK? I'm a black dude from the Bronx and even I KNOW how important John Lennon was to music overall. If it wasn't for classic rock, this guy would be at Pizza Hut making deep dish pies. "More pepperoni bitch!!!" Translation: Call me 30 years from now on how big and memorable "Death Cab for Cutie" , "Good Charlotte" and "30 Seconds to Mars" will be...I'm serious. Some of this is prerecorded and played from a machine, but when Pirate Joe is on the air, he's got the actual records in his hands and he'll tell you all you need to know about each one. P. J. (Pirate Joe) Ferraro and his radio station is a national treasure with an extraordinary library of American popular music across all genres. Somebody should put this on line. The Smithsonian should be picking up the bill and letting P.J. follow his radio bliss. Really. 950 AM.

FM 98.5 Like the talk radio shows, all of them. However hate…read morewhen they get pre-emted for mets or maris games. Are there realy more listeners interested in these games vs the talk shows, I doubt it. Plus the reception in Wappingers Falls sometimes is very very poor, to bad they were not as powerful as wpdh or even vassar. Forget the AM stations they are basically useless. But half a loaf is better than none as they say, but sometimes we get no bread at all. Lastly the commercial, "shut the door, shut the door" makes me turn the radio off. :)
