I'm always learning and enjoying something new each Sunday morning. It's not stuffy or overly pedantic, just lots of great music and a few words to provide context or spark interest. If you go to the website, there's a wonderful blog and interviews with some of the artists featured on Sunday Baroque. For example, my favorite performing group, Chatham Baroque, is recently including with a fascinating, in-depth interview. I can't fully express how much I love this show. Perhaps I'm spoiled by Sirius XM radio, no commercials ever, no annoying conversation by radio announcers who want to display their boring personalities and want to show how cool they are. I don't understand how and why terrestrial radio is still in business. I pay $100 a year for Sirius XM and get access to any musical genres I want period!!! IPeople get Sirius radio once for all !!!!

55 minutes of Classic Rock…read more Due to the vagaries of geography and frequency modulation (FM to you civilians) I find that I can usually tune in the Connecticut radio stations much easier than the New York City stations. The Fox, if you'll pardon the expression, just plain rocks. Their catchphrase is "55 minutes of classic rock every hour" and although that includes commercial time, it doesn't leave much time for anything else. Unlike a lot of the classic rock stations, the Fox seems to mix it up somewhat better than similar NY and Long Island based stations which seem to only have 10 records in their rotation. So if you happen to hear some idiot singing along from his house to "Stairway to Heaven" in the wee hours, please refrain from tossing your shoe at me - I bruise easily...
