If I could give Wright & Feusier 10/5 stars, I would. They are AMAZING and getting braces will change your life! I had been self conscious about my smile for some time, and after moving to SB, I decided I wanted to do something about it. After a visit to *another* local ortho office, I didn't think I could afford braces at. all. But while in an awesome "make positive changes" phase of life, I happen to find that Costco offers discounts through Delta Dental. AND Delta Dental covers adult orthodontic care. AND Wright & Feusier strive to care for their community, so they accept Delta Dental. I called to confirm and got a free consultation appointment for the next week. After talking with Deb and Dr. Feusier, I learned about what their goals were (straighter teeth, fix narrowing and crowding, etc), limitations (need metal braces on bottom because of natural overbite, could not remedy overbite entirely because I'm naturally missing an incisor), and the cost associated. They said i could take the cost details home and talk it over with my partner (2600 + 500 for retainers) and projected one month for a visit if I wish to get started. Well, the projected cost was ONE FOURTH that suggested by another local place AND they happen to have a cancellation two days later, so I decided to go for it!! 16 months of braces was freaking awesome through them. I felt communicated with, knew what was asked of me to get the best smile possible, and I absolutely adore the staff of this office. I would GLADLY encourage any child, teenager, adult, or senior to work with Wright & Feusier!!!! Getting braces through them have made me more confident, proud of myself for making a positive change, and so excited to suggest them to my friends. read more

Age 80, I have all my teeth, but lower 4 in front are becoming loose. Dentists had installed splints, a synthetic band, to tie them to the sound canines on either side, which proved effective, but with more bone loss over time, less so. I thought I'd give Orthodontists a try for a more permanent solution and found Wright and Feusier online. On my first visit I hit it off with Dr. Wright immediately. He examined my teeth and thought he could provide a brace, or wire, that would be custom made to go behind my 6 lower front teeth to tie them together. One of his technicians, that day, scanned my teeth so they could send an exact representation of my teeth to another business that could make the brace. To think such miracles are possible! They scheduled another visit a week later to install the device, which was accomplished by a technician in about a half hour. It was quite a process that seemed to go well and was given final inspection by Dr. Wright. I was advised too, that because I had so much bone loss, even with the device, I shouldn't bite into anything harder than a peanut butter sandwich. Well, just some few days later, I bit into roast beef sandwich, and I heard and felt a disconnection, and the loosest tooth came partially detached from the wire. I was a little discouraged but made an appointment to see what could be done, if anything. On this, the third visit, I saw Dr. Wright, who set me up with Edgar, another technician, who capably made repairs to the detached tooth, as well as smoothing a minor burr on one of my teeth. When he was done, Dr. John Feusier, reviewed his work with a pick to check for soundness and found a spot needing more attention, which Edgar, again ably addressed. Dr. Feusier took another probing look and approved the job, which thus far has proven very satisfactory. Dr. Feusier also recommended a Periodontist to see if there's something he can do about the loose teeth and bone loss. I mentioned all their favorable reviews and that they, unlike other dentists I've encountered, don't solicit customers to write reviews. He said they appreciate them, but don't solicit them, which I appreciate, as solicitations will skew the results towards, perhaps, undue favorability. I was charged $500 for all this work, which seemed like a bargain to me. There was no charge at all for the repair. This is a most ethical enterprise with highly qualified and friendly professionals on their staff. I couldn't be more impressed. read more

This team exceeded every expectation I could imagine. I walked into this office with twisted teeth and overcrowding. I left with a smile I did not dream possible. Dr. Wright and Freusier are the most personable doctors I have encountered and their entire team is made up of the friendliest, compassionate people. Jeana and Edgar are special staff highlights as they were so gentle with me and kept up the best conversations. The doctors work as a team, so you get the incredible benefit of TWO professionals. Both were aligned in their process and recommendations ~ but it was so comforting to know I was in the hands of two well established orthodontists. Dr. Freusier knew it was a challenge for me to switch from clear aligners to braces ~ so he did everything possible to accelerate the treatment. The braces even came off earlier than the initial timeline! In my final visit, my adult braces were removed and Dr. Wright personally filed my teeth to even perfection. It was dental craftsmanship. I cannot recommend this team enough. I wish they did general dentistry too, I would be a patient for life. read more

9 years later I'm writing a review because I didn't know Yelp was a thing as a teenager. I came into Dr.Wright's office with the worst teeth. Dr. Wright and his staff provided the best service and allowed me to have a good experience with having my braces on for 3 years. The staff at the front desk were always very welcoming and professional. If I had any issues with a bracket falling off they would be very accommodating to get me scheduled in. I had absolutely the best experience during the entire time of wearing my braces. I had very problematic teeth with a lot of crowding and my bite was really off and they successfully turned that mess into gorgeous set of teeth. They are also polite, welcoming, and super organized. I've never waited a minute for any of my appointments and I had a lot of them! :) They are also super accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments and any other questions or concerns you might have. Dr. Feusier and his staff were some of the nicest people I've met and they've done a phenomenal job on my smile! I had issues with my two teeth that sit on either side of my two front sit sitting backwards, causing my two front teeth to look buck, as well as my bottom being extremely crooked. After tediously searching for an orthodontist in Santa Barbara, I am very happy I chose the Wright Center! Why tediously searching? Let's just say I have very special teeth. Because of my special teeth, I am very particular about who I go to for any dental work. Anyhow, after visiting the Wright Center I was very satisfied with my care, the facility, and the staff. I had my initial consultation in October 2015. The front desk was very professional and helpful. After minimal paperwork and a very short wait, I was brought in to a patient room and met with Debbie, the insurance coordinator. Debbie was very thorough and clear when reviewing my benefits with me. While she attempted to verify my benefits and out of pocket costs with my insurance, I met with Dr. Feusier. Dr. Feusier was very understanding after I had to explain my special case of teeth. We thoroughly discussed the outline of my treatment and Dr. Feusier addressed every question and concern I had regarding my treatment. I left the office with an extensive knowledge of my treatment plan. Since Debbie was unable to reach an insurance representative at my initial consult, she called me back a few days later as promised once she had successfully verified my benefits. She went over the details with me and we initiated a payment plan that suited my needs and their requirements. Debbie is very informative and patient, which made the payment process that much easier. I went in to get my molds and x-rays done in November and was relieved to find the rest of the facility so CLEAN! Being an administrator in a health care facility, I have been cursed to pay attention to cleanliness and hygiene practices. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, the equipment, and the hygiene practices of the staff members. I met Dr. Wright in December and got my braces on with no difficulties. Since then I have referred two of my colleagues to the Wright Center. One of them has already gotten her daughter braces this year and the other is scheduled for a consultation soon. I knew I really needed braces because I had a lot of gaps in my teeth, and my bottom teeth were starting to push my top teeth out, causing a lot of pain and discomfort. I started looking around at the different orthodontist in town and after about 6 consultations, and being pushed into the Invisalign path with all of those, I was disappointed that I would have to go out of town for braces. That's when I heard about Dr. Wright. I was skeptical to go in, because I thought Invisalign was going to bed pushed on me again, which I really didn't want to do. Probably after the first 15 minutes of being in the office, I knew that I was going to be a patient here. I was straight up during the consultation and let them know I was too lazy to stick with Invisalign and knew I was going to mess up the process. For the first time, I was given the option for ceramic braces and a white wire, which blew my mind because I didn't think that was a thing. The look was so subtle that I knew it wouldn't be a big deal having them while working in the professional corporate world. They worked with my insurance and created a personal payment plan that worked with my budget, and never hid any "surprise" fees from me. They also gave me a structured timeframe to ensure that I would have the braces off in a timely manner (as long as I kept up the work on my side). The braces were installed just about painlessly. I never felt any discomfort during the process, and they worked around my really bad gag reflex. Multiple times during the treatment, I would mess something up, like eating curry that stained the rubber bands, or accidentally moved the wire, but that was never a problem for the Dr. Wright staff, the appointments were made as soon as possible to fix any mistake I made. After 18 months, as prescribed, my braces were off and my teeth looked and felt amazing. Since the braces have been off, I've been in multiple times for retainer cleaning, and overall checkups. I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process, and would 100% recommend anyone considering any orthodontic work to go into Dr. Wright, you'll be treated like a VIP and more importantly, a human being. I chose Dr. Wright because I liked the office, the staff, and of course Dr. Wright himself. The office decor is lovely, creating a calm serene environment. The office staff are all very nice, and many of them are so skilled they could almost be orthodontists themselves. Staff will do most of the work, then Dr. Wright comes around, compliments the staff on the great job they did, makes some final adjustments, compliments the patient for being such a great patient, and gosh you just feel good when you leave the office, and don't really mind that the braces are now wrenching your teeth in all sorts of directions. (Have a look at Kappa Mikey episode 203 "The Bracemaster". Dr. Wright may not be able to straighten all your teeth in One Day. He takes a kinder, gentler approach.) Dr. Wright also holds a fair once a year for all of his patients. It's a fun time and you may even get to see him in more casual clothes singing in a band. I of course also didn't mind that Dr. Wright charged only $6,000 when everyone else in town was charging $8,000. But that's not why I chose that office. I chose the office because I liked the office. I figured I'll be coming here for the next two years, so I might as well chose an office I like going to. read more

My son from a very early age had severe overcrowding along with oral defensiveness. That's not a great combination! Frankly, I was dreading the whole experience because of my son's oral defensiveness and what that might mean for him. Also, I was adamant about finding an orthodontist that could expand his palate without the need for extraction of permanent teeth. I searched high and low for an orthodontist and staff who understood our needs and would be able to accommodate us. I can't say enough good things about The Wright Center. During our initial consultation, Dr. Wright included my son in the conversation, putting him at ease and answering all my/his many questions. The office assigned an AMAZING tech to work with my son throughout his entire treatment. That would be Jeana. My son did amazing and this is due to Dr. Wright, Dr. Feusier and his entire staff. Also, they have continually made creative alternatives to get the work done. For example, when the fixed expander was too difficult for my son, they came up with another option that was more work for them, but created the same results. My son is almost done with Phase One and his teeth look amazing. I would highly recommend this office, regardless of whether you have a sensitive child.
