Our windshield had two or three runs in it and we just kept putting off getting it repaired. A week before my daughter was going to go out of town in it we decided to have it replaced. I went online and got an appointment without a problem. The day of the appointment the technician was even able to come early, he was super nice, did a great job, and did it in a timely manner. During that time, I confirmed the appointment multiple times, including the morning the technician was scheduled to arrive. Despite all of the confirmations, no one showed up. I never received a phone call, text message, or email informing me that the appointment had been delayed or canceled. I waited the entire day with no communication whatsoever. I contacted Safelite's national customer service department, where the representative confirmed that my contact information and address were correct in their system. He attempted to reach both the Pearl service center and my assigned technician, Nathan, but neither answered. I was given a phone number for the local office and told to call the next morning. After three separate attempts, no one answered that number either. With no explanation, no communication, and no way to reach the local service center, I ultimately requested a refund. I was informed that it would take 3-5 business days for the refund to be processed, despite having already paid in advance for a service that was never provided. I understand that scheduling issues and unforeseen circumstances can happen. What is difficult to accept is the complete lack of communication and the inability to reach anyone at the local office for an explanation or resolution. A simple phone call or text message would have demonstrated respect for my time and allowed me to make other arrangements. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this Safelite location. Reliable communication and honoring scheduled appointments are fundamental expectations of any service business, and neither was met in my case.
