It was a Huntington Bank check so I figured they had to cash it. I have an account with them that I hardly ever use, because I share it with another family member. I wanted cash for this check. They had plenty of people working there but would not send anyone over to help out with the long time until it was after closing time and they wanted to get out of there. They were more interested in the pizza they were passing around. I waited in line at least a half hour, maybe longer, with the people behind me too. When another teller finally came up to help, he wouldn't cash the check. He said the business had not released it. Why would they give it to me and not let me cash it. I'm never going to this branch again and am going to close the account I have with them.

This is easily the worst Chase location I've ever been to. Their outdoor ATMs are always out of service, or refuse to accept deposits that work at every other branch. Additionally the staff is surreally nosy, asking such questions as "where did you get this check?" and questioning if my name is my name (?????). It's a nightmare of a bank and I hate that I have to regularly deal with its antics, and dilapidated services. Get your act together. You're a national bank, that can't do the basic services.

Now, let's talk about the present instead of the past. This bank has been going downhill at rapid pace over the past few years. When I say "this bank" I'm meaning the bank as a company, although the customer service has gone down as well. I have finally reached my last straw after looking at my account to find that they have taken $30 out of it for "service fees". To my knowledge There should not have been any- I make it a strong point to not have any accounts that charge them. That's not to say maybe a clause isn't buried somewhere, or more likely that they have taken it upon themselves to add it since I opened the account many years ago. But in any event, them reaching their hands in and taking my money is absolutely not acceptable, and has broken and trust and respect that I had left for them. Now as I said, that was the final straw that pushed me off the fence to make me actually start the process of closing and moving our families three savings accounts, checking account, and business account. That's not an easy task, and the reason why I delt with them through this point. But to give some insight into the other issues: during the PPP period, they were not only completely unhelpful but flat out rude. After two weeks of messing around with them and waiting for callbacks that never happened, I finally went to another bank for it. Another major issue was just a few months ago I needed to setup guardianship accounts for my kids. They again were extremely unhelpful, and apparently there is only 1 person in the entire company that can even set them up. Want to guess what that was like? Yeah, it was even worse. We, again, had to go to another bank and had the accounts opened for nearly a week before the heartland rep ever even called back. And then there is the day to day type issues that are just a frustrating headache, but I think you get the point. In short, I know I have written a lot so I'll conclude it with a TL;DR summary: bank used to be good, now it's like they're in a race to the bottom of the barrel with Chase. Don't let them take your money like they did mine, bank somewhere else.

An automatic payment came out of my checking that I had forgotten about, which is why I dislike paperless billing in the first place, though I wasn't given a choice on that payment. The resultant fee was beyond exorbitant, reflecting nothing less than unbridled greed, especially considering a deposit was pending. I had a substantial amount of cash in my savings, but they proceeded with the charges anyway. When I called, they offered no reasonable solution. I certainly can't recommend Telhio to others after this experience. It was hearless, cruel, and extremely frustrating!

Telhio writes bad checks…read more So a customer of mine gave me a Telhio credit card check for $5000. I am naturally suspicious of these checks so I sit on it for about five days and everyone is saying that the money is good. I take out $2000 from kemba one day and come back for the rest the next day. The second day there is a hold on the money. "Oh God here we go". Telhio just decides to recall the check. I hadn't spent the money yet so I put it back into my account. So this time my client was only embarrassed for being told one thing by Telhio and then being immediately stabbed in the back. Don't bank with these people. Other credit unions are far more reputable
