Unprofessional Either the vet tech or the vet gave dangerous information! The emergency responder that returned my voicemail via text told me they would try to work my mare in on a Saturday for colic. This was about 0830, and eventually, after hours of texting & them waiting to tell me they couldn't come (8 hours later) I was instructed to take her to the Equine Hospital in Vegas, which we did. However, they stated that IM banamine was ok (it's NOT!) and frankly they should have suggested trailering her sooner. I doubt it would have changed the outcome (my mare had a bad small bowel impaction) but it was either a vet tech acting out of their scope of practice or a vet giving wrong info (regarding the Banamine) when they could have just said "give the IM liquid orally instead". And waiting from 8:30am until 4:30pm to suggest trailering her might have been something to recommend waaaaay earlier. Even if was just an upfront "Hay, don't expect me make it. Go ahead & trailer her to Vegas" would have been appreciated. Honestly, even without them being flaky, had they suggested I even consider taking her Vegas earlier in the day I would have immediately done so & had a good review to give here. I realize my mare was not established, but I also haven't experienced having a horse colicing before and needed straightforward answers & professional help. I did not receive that. Rather, poor communication & a delay in care. Again, i recognize that it's unlikely to have changed the outcome, but i would have been willing to establish my other mare there and respect them. But specifically about the Banamine, I did not believe I could trust them with my horses safety. I did post screenshots in order but it still mixed them up. I as well Want to Chime in on Jaime's Review. This was Regarding the passing of Bear. He was a 13 year old German Shepard. I too was involved in this incident. There is also a Google Review in which Mrs. Wright did Respond in a matter to defend herself like she was on the Witness stand in a court room. Please Check that out: Screen Shot is attached, That review is what prompted this from me: Mrs. Wright, ( You don't hold the Moniker Dr. with me ) There is clearly a Communication breakdown between you and your staff. In different instances, you have been hard to get ahold which we had to physically come to your office to get what we needed. And when you say you called us back and it just rang with no voice mail... (Wrong answer)- All Cell phones go to voicemail, including Obama ones and the lowest cricket plan you can get. The Point is "It never went to Voicemail" is the oldest line in the book, And in bears death, this being a medical emergency this is 2024, even 911 will text you back- I'm just stating Facts,.... By the way the new excuse is "Voicemail is full" but its too late to back peddle on that now....Moving on..... The cold and callous remark from whatever candy striper in your office responded back: "Even if Bear passes at home, Still just bring him in". Of course this still would have been a two hundred dollar office visit, plus after care arrangements. With that said, I think its safe to say your more concerned about your tax bracket at the end of the month, Vs. Your bedside manner in a moment of a Grieving, family and their loss. Bear was 13 years old, He has been with us since he was a puppy. He was not just a pet, But he was a member of the family and for him to go like that.... I'm furious at you for that! And that will never change. The lack of care you guys have is at a biblical level. I'm sure you wont care what we have to write, actions speak so much louder than words. And this is tortiously round about. But I will leave things on this note... Sometimes, words do speak louder than actions, and a town this small, word travels fast. I have been reading more reviews on this site and it would appear that our family is not the only one that has had like run-ins with you and your "trained staff" as you put it. Your practice, Seems to be on a downward spiral. And I did see in your comments, that you were very quick to end care with our remaining companions. All snap judgements on your behalf with not even ..........ill wait .......c'mon......you know this one..... YES.... YES! a phone call.... The good ol' phone again..... Don't worry, we know... I understand that I am not normal. I was raised by a silent abuser, who taught me how to be VERY observant.. literally my very safety demanded it. It's why I limit my social interactions to once or twice a month. It takes me that long to build up my energy to deal with the arrogance and entitlement of the masses. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect politeness and curtesy. So far I have yet to find it in Arizona. We are going to be saying goodbye to our Bebe girl Monday or Tuesday when I choose our veterinarian, it was with this day in mind. We chose an equine one because we knew this day was coming.and we wanted her to pass at home. When our vet said she didn't do that anymore, we didn't leave. When they charged us twice for a case of food and tried a 3rd time, we didn't leave. When we discovered they were charging us a $10 service fee for using our card, we didn't leave. We are leaving because: I started calling them at 4pm Tuesday 10/17/23 afternoon. I requested a sedative for our girl because it's her time it's 60 miles to the clinic, I just wanted her comfortable.. no call back Tuesday. I explained everything. Called Wednesday morning 8:20, they said to wait for someone to call back. Nothing by 11:30, we called again. Then every 30 minutes from 2 on. They stopped taking our calls. After 4:30 and we had No chance to make it to town before they closed, we finally spoke with them.we left detailed messages each time but still we explained what the situation is. I completely understand that they haven't seen her in two years. And that's why they can't prescribe her anything.. what I don't understand is why they've forced us to pursue an answer.. they sell cbd there, did they recommend that? No. Did they recommend melatonin? No. This is why we're leaving: An incredibly insensitive Cow chirpily offered to sedate her on arrival what part of making her comfortable for the trip did they not comprehend! I really like dr wright and I would like to believe she wasn't informed of the situation that happened today (8/15/24). I have been taking my dogs to wright veterinary for over eight years now but today my boyfriend took two of our dogs to have that new shot that's keeps them from a new decease that dogs can pass on to humans. It cost $24.25, however, the front office didn't explain that each dog would cost $69.08. Each dog was charged an office visit ($25), and a wellness pet exam for ($20) along with a bio hazard disposal fee and the shot. I can understand the bio hazard and office visit but both dogs were not due for wellness pet exam. When my boyfriend asked why the bill was $140 the counter girl did not explain to him the breakdown for the services. He got ever upset and walked out without paying. They called the police which showed up at my house. I called wright veterinary several times, the first time they put me on hold and didn't come back, the second time I called I went straight to voicemail, the third time I called I told her who I was and wanted to know why the bill was so high, yes I was hot under the collar but I didn't cuz or yell. She said your boyfriend walked without paying so you have a nice day and hung up on me. Next thing I know the police were at my house. I invited him in to discuss the issue. He had a copy of the bill and we discussed it. Bottom line, of course I paid it. My problem is the way it all came down. I think the counter girl was in the wrong to not explain why the bill was the way it was and also charging for a service that we shouldn't have been charged for. I have never had a problem with Wright until recently. A few weeks ago, I called to schedule my dog for his rabies vaccine and was informed that he needed a glucose check since he is diabetic. I made the appt, but unfortunately, I had to reschedule a few days later. When I called to reschedule, I was unable to get anyone to answer the phone. Then, hours later, I received a text message offering appt times that did not line up with my dogs insulin schedule. When I responded saying that my appointment needed to be 6 hours post insulin, they proceeded to question me about his dosing schedule and accused me of taking him to another vet since his insulin had not been dispensed in 2 years. I told her his insulin had never been dispense there because Dr. Wright had told me to buy it over the counter at walmart, and his dosing schedule changes slightly because of my work schedule. I found this sort of questioning to be extremely rude and accusatory, but booked anyway because I like Dr. Wright. Fast forward to current, my mom also takes her dogs there, and her shepherd was prescribed medication to help with his arthritis pain. She was warned about side effects of diarrhea, so when Bear started experiencing diarrhea shortly after starting it, my parents thought nothing of it. When it started worsening, they discontinued the medication and called Wright, only to reach a voicemail every time. Messages were left, with no return calls. Then, 3 days ago, he began losing his appetite, and diarrhea continued. Another message left without a returned call. Then, 2 days ago, Bear became too weak to stand, was not eating, and was no longer drinking water. My mom called AGAIN and left yet another freaking message! No returned call. My mom them called 2 more times, finally reached a human at 4:30 pm and explained the situation and said Bear needs help and needs to be seen right away. After being put on hold multiple times, she was finally told to bring him in the next day, and he would be "squeezed in" as an emergency visit for $200. Bear needed immediate freaking attention, and they did not give an inkling about him! My mother's 13 year old dog whined in agony all night long and began vomiting blood in the morning when she tried to move him! She called the vet to see if anyone could help her give him a medication to take away his pain and suffering, and she was told, "even if he passes at home, bring him in". What the actual hell?! This poor baby whined, vomited, and continued with diarrhea until his breathing became labored, and he finally passed away, less than an hour later. This vet and her staff did not give a flying crap about my mother's companion. He did not need to suffer in agony all night. All Darla needed to do was speak with my mom and help her to euthanize him or provide him with a sedative so he wouldn't suffer. If nothing else, Darla or her staff could have referred her to a place capable of helping her, since God forbid, they be inconvenienced by a sick dog so close to closing time. This place makes me sick! All 3 of our remaining dogs will be transferring care elsewhere. Dr. Wright and her staff should be ashamed! read more

Had to wait a while, however they are very professional and seem to really care about your animals! I received answered questions my dog had great care and an RX all under $100.00 and they even called for a follow up on the pup!! I recommend them for sure! read more

We were recommended Dr. Boyett at Wright Veterinary Services by three neighbors and we will never be able to thank them enough. Dr.Boyett is the most gentle, kind and knowledgeable vet that we have come across in Kingman. Our Pomeranian, Josephine, was so calm and at ease with her and her tech Coral that it made me feel at ease and comfortable there. She explained in detail the answers to all our questions and concerns. She called back right away to give us bloodwork results and explained the results in detail...all great results by the way ! The waiting room and examing rooms are spotless. All of the ladies that work there are just wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. We contacted Wright Veterinary Service today to ask if they would be willing to come to us because our 10 year old Great Dane can no longer walk, is lethargic, and we are unable to move him. They agreed to come to us and we were so relieved. An hour later, they called to say the doctor just doesn't "want to spend time doing that today". Why an awful thing to do - say you are willing to do something and then change your mind and leave this poor dog in pain? Wow. Sounds like you really don't care much about helping animals or about human compassion. read more

I am not one to do reviews but due to my personal bad experience I have to write one. Unlike the other review here my experience was not pleasant. My husband and I are fairly new to the area and we were in need of a vet as our 12 year old lab had not been doing well with walking or eating in the past week. Wright Veterinary was able to see us which I was grateful for. I intuitively thought this might be the time to make the decision we all hate to make so I was preparing myself on the drive down that we may not be taking our girl back home. My dogs eyes were watering she was panting and a lot of saliva a;ong with the the not eating and able to go outside without help. The vet that we saw and treated her that day was Dr. Boyett (not sure if spelled correct) I asked her directly after our dogs exam if it was time like I felt I knew in my heart. She is the professional I am just her Mom. She sent us home with pain killers for our dog which she started vomiting soon after taking them and wouldn't you know she passed away that night. I have been to angry to write this with my loss as I never wanted her to suffer. I wanted to make that decision if needed "without" any suffering for her. To add insult to injury she the Dr. never returned my husbands call in regards to some questions he had about these pain killers and what happened. A big fat ZERO for compassion for our loss. A simple return call from this Dr. who treated our girl would have not brought her back, but would have made a big difference just to show she even cared. We will never go back here again for any of our animals. I rated one star only because the front desk was extremely nice and helpful and the owner called to speak with my husband. We are from Tucson and were visiting friends in Havasu when our 2 year old cocker spaniel hurt her leg the day before Thanksgiving. She was limping and crying so I really felt the need to have her seen by a veterinarian. I called all the vet clinics in Havasu and everyone was either booked or closing early for the holiday, someone suggested I call Wright Veterinary Service in Kingman. They were so very kind and caring and worked us into their busy schedule. Darla Wright examined Miss Bailee and determined she had injured her cruciate ligament and got her on anti inflammatory medication and instructed us on how to care for her, and the following Monday, they called to follow up with us and see how she was doing. Great Veterinary service, been using this practice for about 8 years, started with Dr. Snow who left the practice to purse career closer to her home town, Dr. Wright & Dr. Boyette are very compassionate great with all my pets through good times & bad. With 2 of my best buddies that were sent on to Rainbow Bridge. Drs. are very knowledgeable and staff is friendly & courteous. I been to almost every vet clinics in my 24 years in this community. Prices are the best, and can say with 100% honesty this is the best services my babies have received. My Aussie suffered from autoimmune disease, and was treated for a couple of years for the wrong diagnosis, we decided to change vets as she was not getting any better, took her to see Dr. Snow (at Wright's) who biopsied her main area of concern and discovered she was being treated incorrectly, as the other Vet never did any diagnostic testing, we took him/her on their word. In a few months with proper medication she was free from open painful sores. It was a simple biopsy that should have been done by the other vet, but was so arrogant with his diagnosis. when questioned why she wasn't getting any better we were told that it was the best it got. So very grateful we went to Wright Veterinary hospital, you get that feeling that they really care about your animals, and not your bank account. We use this Vet and until now were ok with them. We have rescue cats, rescue dog and even a grey parrot that was saved from certain death as target practice the following morning but I got her the night before. We have several babies that are in need of certain continued meds. One of our Feline children was a rescued dumped Blue Russian. He was 3 when we saved him from starvation. We moved here 3 years ago with them all. He is now 19 years old and has had Feline Aids for 12 years and we have kept him going. Now on a FIXED income, we must find ways to cover all the medical needed for them all. We called to fill a prescription of his for his condition and was told NO. We have to bring him in. FOR WHAT? Nothing can be done. We need meds to fight off bacterial infections and support his immune system. Infections with Feline Aids is what usually gets them. We feel we are being held hostage for money. Office visit and consultation fees to tell us what we already know. NO Money for the office, NO HELP for our cat. Were supposed to stress and traumatize him at 19 and being sickly by putting him in a cage, driving 30 miles one way to be told what? He has Aids? He is OK for now? We know that. Believe us, if he was becoming sick, we would sell our souls to get him in to the Doctor. He has not been kept going for 12 years with Feline Aids by us NOT doing everything possible and knowing all signs of issues coming on. Horrible practice of hostage style money making by using your Pet, your Child as the death threat. I have 4 other rescues all needing meds, shots and it's not cheap. UNFAIR practice and really not caring about the animals life or suffering. read more
