We had worked with them in the past on our previous home when it had settling issues and didn't hesitate to reach out to them this time around. Bret Everling (Product Manager) was exceptional in his efforts to meet out needs, answer questions and provide prompt follow up whenever we reached out. I never felt rushed in the process and he and the administrative team were very accommodating throughout. The team that came out to do the work arrived on time and were very efficient. The senior foreman, Humberto, did a great job communicating every step along the way. He and his team, Andrew and Orlando, were all very professional and were careful to minimize any disruption. When the work was complete, Humberto provided a very thorough summary of the work completed. All in all, I feel very confident with the work performed and would highly recommend them for any foundation repair.

This is an exceptionally well-managed company, and every step of the process was handled professionally and efficiently. We obtained three bids, and Foundation Solutions was by far the easiest and most competent company to work with. They were willing to work with us on their proposal, and throughout the entire project they demonstrated honesty, integrity, and a commitment to doing things the right way. They use Ram Jack which was minimally invasive. They truly run their organization like a well-oiled machine. Our project manager, Brett Everling, was excellent. He kept us informed every step of the way, from the project planning to the city permits and construction schedule. Communication was outstanding, and everything proceeded exactly as promised (and even a little ahead of schedule). For a project of this size and complexity, it's remarkable that everything went so smoothly. The Foundation Solutions crew was punctual, hardworking, and incredibly diligent. They hand-dug the excavation areas, which was no small task, and they treated the property with care. The amount of concrete that needed to be removed was kept to a minimum, and the concrete repairs afterward were done nicely. We did have one issue with the sprinkler system after it was reassembled, but Foundation Solutions responded quickly and resolved it without hesitation. That level of customer service reinforced that we had chosen the right company.

I have built two projects with ATA Engineering and am in the process of starting a third. I appreciate ATA's rapid response to me needs and their ability to save me thousands when the crews make a mistake. A lot of factors go in to engineering a structure including Soil Engineering and the California earthquake codes. While I feel these other entities play a huge role in the overengineering of a structure, ATA has always found the most cost effective approach to keep everyone happy. 7 of my other structural engineers are truly guilty of overengineering the structures to save their own skin, ATA is not. I appreciate the pricing that I receive from ATA to engineer my projects. They are fair with their pricing and if anything they are under priced. It is not uncommon for them to make changes to the plans due to architect/client revisions and not charge for them. My other 8 engineering firms charge by the minute for anything that changes, even to talk on the phone. Give ATA Engineering a shot at your project, you will not be dissapointed unless you expect someone to work for free.

He was also very hard to reach and not super responsive dispite how much we were paying him (not cheap, so I thought that I would get better service). If all you are looking for is to pass the permitting process, then he could do that, but it will cost you in more ways that just his bill.

Later we asked her to be the structural engineer reviewer on our house remodel, which she turned around in less than 24 hours, provided paperwork for filing for permits, etc., all for $230. Vesna was a big find -- I've been quoted structural engineering fees of $1000+ & taking weeks, for the kind of work she efficiently does in days for much less money. I'd recommend her for any residential construction reviews.

She inspected our house as well as its architecture/design plans and then turned out a report in a few days. She then accompanied me to the city to present her findings and was instrumental in fast-tracking the whole process. What was going on and what was happening if I had any concerns, he addressed them immediately and make sure that they met my expectations. I would use Wise Builders again and I would request Marc to be my project manager again on any future jobs that I had. He worked really well with our designer Jocelyn, I appreciated having a designer. Having a designer to bounce ideas off have her expertise on fixtures and toilets was amazing. Jocelyn did an excellent job working with me and when my daughter had some changes to this design, she was very receptive to those changes and helped me update the changes in our design The only thing that could have been better is, if the tile supplier had communicated with Marc that the tile for the guest shower floor was backlogged. Marc worked really hard to expedite the tile and was in communication with me along that process. In order to give us options besides waiting for the tile, Jocelyn, our designer gave us an alternative tile. Looking at the tile floor now I like it better than what I had originally chosen. I have done other remodeling projects and I would have to say that working with Marc has probably been one of the easiest remodeling projects that I have done. I appreciated that I did not have to be so hands-on in the project because I trusted that Marc would get it done.

All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use. I'm loving the new bathroom and recommend WISE.
