This is the greatest news station and NBC affiliate in Indiana and they recently got a 4 pm newscast they also got a good morning newscast.

This channel's Olympic coverage was a complete disaster. Weather updates incessantly interrupted the broadcast, making it impossible to enjoy the events. Angela's so-called 'quick updates' were anything but--they dragged on forever and made it clear she had no sense of timing or audience interest. read more

Be available. I have had issues getting WTHR for several years. I have purchased different antennas but to no avail. I live blocks outside the I-465 loop, but their signal is so poor that I get only 20% of their programming due to the weak signal. No other Indy stations have an issue. I have just given up on ever being able to watch NBC unless I fork out $100 for cable, just for one station. So sad for it being 2024, and needing late 80's "FOX viewing positions". I am finally just done with WTHR. read more

The news is good. The women all look beautiful and well dressed. But the African American girl needs a fashion stylist and she needs voice lessons. The men are very professionally dressed. The two women that tell the weather do an excellent job. I am very sorry Chuck Loftin needs to retire. No one cares about his adventures. I gave my 4 out of 5 rating because the news is still good. I grew up with Bob Gregory and Tom Cochran. Tom Cochran did a very moving story where his kids and he and his wife went on welfare. More news should be done like this. Is there anyone else out there that is totally over this station interrupting regular programming every time a drop of rain falls?? I mean seriously! While I realize storms can be dangerous, give us a break. Nothing is more annoying than watching the first part of a program, only to have the last 15 to 30 minutes interrupted for weather updates and never knowing the program's ending. This only seems to occur with Angela Buchman who is as annoying as the interruptions. She seems to want all of us to be impressed with her enormous knowledge of meteorology. WTHR, in my opinion, provides the most comprehensive, professional newscasts in Indianapolis. I don't watch television news all that often in the evenings, but when I do it's 13... or in the morning, the Today Show on 13. In general, I like the anchors, reporters and meteorologists on WTHR. read more

Hi, My name is Tashanti Womack mostly known for my experience at the 2017 Grammys Awards. I am writing this statement to my advocates and others that have been through bias and racial profiling throughout the biography of their lives in Job corps. I'm here at Atterbury job corps In Edinburgh Indiana and there have been countless occasions where students have been wrongfully treated and petrified to speak up, but I am not a voice of tranquility. I have also been a victim of these activities I was refused to be released to the hospital with an amputated toe. They told me if I hadn't waited I would be charged a substantial fee that I'm not able to pay as a minor. They waited so long to take me to the hospital that I wasn't able to get stitches the medical care that was needed days before. Staff chortled at the situation and refused to give me help off the floor while blood oozed from my toe. Students of color were told if they helped escort me to help they would get terminated or in huge distribution, but they refused to let me sit in the agony of pain. I called the police because no staff here wanted to help me, but they wouldn't even let them through I had to sit in pain all night due to the fact no one wanted to assist the problem. They told me I had to get a parent or guardian's consent to leave so I called my grandmother and my auntie to verify I could go to the hospital but the staff still denied their consent. I couldn't call my Mom due to the fact they called DCS/CPS child protective services due to past events that I was still mourning about and needed some help to get over. They assigned me to a counselor that said I could confine in her and trust her with any personal issues and still reported it and caused trouble in my home. After those incidents, my mom was convinced I was against her and refused to have any dealings with me or this place. This place is targeting certain students due to their nationality or race and I have countless students making reports and verifying evidence of their terrific experiences here at job corps this facility needs to be shut down immediately. read more

It has been 4+ years since the digital TV conversion and Channel 13 WTHR is the ONLY over the air station we consistently cannot pick up without the hassle of reprogramming my electronic digital antennae. The result. We seldom ever watch it. All.... And I mean all other Indianapolis TV stations are received fine using the same Digital Antennae setting It begs the question.... If I can receive all other digital TV signals but WTHR..... Why don't they tweek transmitter or put a repeater near Greenwood so me and my neighbors can watch it? Unbelievable read more

The consumer can't ever catch a break. Channels that are supposed to be free apparently are not free. One of the few shows I enjoyed last year premiered their first show of the second season and because the parent company of WTHR is being a pain I have missed the first two shows of the new season. I would not even give them one star after tonight's news but that was not an option. I was disgusted watching the 6pm news tonight on a report about the school shooting. They did a comparison of the shooting to a town that got hit by a tornado last year. There were casualties in this event. They just lost material things. In Newtown, they lost 26 lives most of them children and a sense of security. Don't get me wrong, I'm very sorry that town lost most of their houses and business but they can rebuild. The 26 lives lost yesterday can never be replaced! read more
