Half of the market was closed off, but something new that popped up near the front of the store was a coffee/smoothie bar. We stopped in for a quick to go order of a coffee, pastry, and smoothie. I loved the fact that there is an option to make your own. I was able to choose my base, 2 fruit options, and a veggie. I chose - blueberry, strawberry, (comes with a banana), spinach, and almond milk. Perfect! Healthy and fresh. The girl behind the counter was friendly and accommodating. There's also a gelato bar. Curious to see what's new when renovations are done!

We ordered a couple of sides for dinner and both of the sides were labeled incorrectly. One of them triple the price of what the item should have costed. We came back at 4 and then were informed the brisket might be out actually closer to 5. What? Why tell us 4 and then push it to another hour? We decided to leave and check out and at the checkout lane I noticed they started putting the meat out?? Did they just not want to serve us?? Their customer service specifically was rude but our cashier who helped us with the overpriced ticketed items was nice and helpful. It just doesn't feel good to be treated with disrespect and to basically be lied to because the same guy who said it wouldn't be out until 5 literally started to put out the meat as soon as we walked away. Weird, random, and I hated it.

It's way more "manageable" than bigger H-E-Bs, & while they might not have the obscure organics or artisanal offerings of a Central Market or other H-E-B's, this store is a hidden gem. The shelves are always stocked, the aisles are always clear, & the associates are always happy & quick to help. I pretty much know where everything is, but the few times I've wandered aimlessly looking for something, fellow shoppers -- mostly older & wiser -- have helped me find whatever it is I'm hunting down. I've always preferred small grocery stores to large ones, & I really have a soft spot for this one. Maybe because I grew up in the area, or maybe I just like how leisurely a shopping trip here is; I enjoy my time spent here, & I think it's a nice change of pace from the Walmarts & Targets of the world. A pro-tip: the H-E-B app is a great help for a store as condensed as this one (& any H-E-B in general). It tells you aisle by aisle if they have something you want in stock, so you can save time, gas, & energy if you need something in a pinch.

When she got home and checked the ingredients, she noticed the expiration date was 12/25/25 -- already expired. She took it back to customer service and was given a hard time about getting a refund or even an exchange. After some back and forth, the manager finally agreed to let her exchange it. When she went back to the meat section, she noticed the entire brand was expired -- every single package dated 12/25/25. She grabbed ten of them and brought them to the manager, asking why expired meat was still being sold. No explanation. So, moral of the story: don't buy food at Walmart without checking the expiration date first.

They canceled everything because supposedly there was no threads on the drain plug. Took it to Take 5 in New Braunfels Oil quickly changed. Tires still going down so I now feel that they just added air and didn't actually check the tires for leaks. Be wary if they tell you something is wrong with your vehicle. Very unprofessional and will never take my car back there. Disgusted and disgruntled. Update: after I got the oil changed I went to discount tire down the road. They found (and i saw it with my own two eyes) a bubble on the front tire. So the employees did not check the tires like they said. Both front tires needed to be replaced. Do better Walmart!!
