Not much of a much. Maybe it is being rebuilt? But there is a small building with bathrooms and what looks like it will be a nature center, and tons of trails up and down the hills. Surrounded by development, but fairly quiet, at least on an early spring weekday afternoon. Saved because of its creeks and hills and gullies, surely. Lots of shale outcrops, some decent elevation changes, well-developed paths mixed with more basic ones, decent parking. Far from our usual routes, but worth a detour.

High Banks Metro is one of our favorite local walking/hiking places! We go here often as it's very…read moreclose to home. The Columbus Metro Park system in general is quite good - all the parks we've been to are well maintained. Meeting spaces and picnic areas are convenient to parking.... From trails to playgrounds to restrooms they are all in good condition. The High Banks Park is very popular (many Columbus people drive across the city to come here) so especially on weekends finding parking can be a challenge. Plan way ahead if you want to get a picnic spot (shelter houses are by reservation most of the time). Kudos to Columbus for investing in the area's green spaces!

We…read moreloved how there were trails, paved pathways, small parks, and play areas for children all in one place. It was beautiful and very unexpectedly large. You could easily spend an entire day here walking multiple trails. We would recommend bringing water because we did not see water fountains or stations, and some stretches of trail were quite long. We would also recommend exploring and seeing what you find. We found a fun area with wooden exercise and play equipment. We spent about 30 minutes playing with all of the pieces. It was so much fun and we are already planning our next trip back!

Park in either lot and walk around the building; it is not visible till you get all the way in back. Wooded, shady, with benches around, it is ideal for smaller children and anyone in a wheelchair. Lots of ramps and "bridges," many wheels and things to play with like tic tac toe boards, etc. A few slides and climbing areas. Baby K loved it, and when she fell, on the rubber "ground," she was fine and wanted to keep playing. A great playground, and with another nearby in the park, part of a 'two-fer' that we will surely be back to.

I run, and the trails in Olentangy Park are quite nice. There are paved trails, and some off the path trails for running and walking. The trails themselves follow a river, with a interstate on the other side. However the tree canopy and abundant foliage help give it a more secluded feel. There are soccer fields, tennis courts, playgrounds, and a skate park tucked back a little further from the entrance I use. I see other runners, walkers, bikers whenever I'm there for a run. The entrance to the park that I go to is a good half mile or more from where I usually stay, but it's always worth the effort.

This is a really neat park that nicely bridges natural and active areas. There's a great view of…read moreseveral ponds that are full of birds and surrounded by some bird houses. It's really relaxing to watch the water and wildlife from the bridges. There are several athletic fields, including some very nice baseball diamonds, and a shelterhouse with restrooms. The playground is located near the ponds and is extremely cool! It is nicely worked into the landscape, taking advantage of varying heights with a lot of neat ways to get up and down to the various levels, from boulders to jump on, giant stone steps to take, slides, stumps to step on, and the like. There is a great zip line that kids can easily work themselves, and it really picks up some great speed. There are climbing walls, nets, and musical elements. It looks like there is a really nice water play area during the warmer months - it has a nice flow down the hill, over rocks, under logs, and ending in a sand area. We definitely want to come back again when it's warm to check that out. A paved multi-use trail is also available. We really enjoyed this park!

There is a paved trail and plenty of space to run around and enjoy, with trees around for shade. The larger playground, called the Discovery Playground, has a whole lot of options: slides, swings (tire and standard), climbing structures, monkey bars, dinos to ride on, and a whole lot more! It was highly approved and much enjoyed. There is a small parking lot available too.

Wow. A big park in the center of the neighborhood, beside two schools. Playing fields, green…read morespace, shade trees, etc. We were, as always, there for the playground, and scored big time. Two playgrounds in the park itself, one small but good, the other big and excellent. Plus, two playgrounds at the elementary school next door. So four playgrounds within walking distance, some with multiple playsets. Baby K loved it all. We'll be back.
