They often do repeats of popular themed foods so that you can get your favorite items again and again. It's family and black owned which are both two big marketing points for me. I will always support small businesses especially when they are black owned. This business also partners with other local small business and sells some of their good in store. Anyway now to my actual review. I ordered from here when they did Philly steak night. I ordered the Philly fries and the deluxe Philly. I think that's what it was called anyway. Both were amazing. The fries were well seasoned, but a tad soggy because they were to go. The meat was high quality and very tasty. My order was taken promptly and everything was prepared on time. The process of ordering from start to finish was easy and cohesive. I think next time I order on Philly steak night I'm going to pass on the bacon because both dishes were a tad salty, simply due to all the salty components. Heart shaped tub in the very large bathroom. The bed was super comfy!! Now on with the bad... Starting with our wedding day lunch on 2/14/2013. We had a 1215 reservation for 8 following our very small private wedding. There were only 2 other guests in the restaurant at the time. We were seated in the closed in porch area where the heat was not on, and it was maybe 50 degrees outside. When my sister in law went to ask to have the heat turned on, we were informed that it wasn't working and were reseated inside. (Why didn't they just seat is inside in the first place? There was almost NO ONE else in the restaurant!) After 10 minutes our waitress finally came to take our dinner order, seemingly forgetting to take our drink order. After 30 minutes our 3 year old was starving so again, sister in law trying to make sure my day is perfect, went and asked that her food be sent out. It never came. Until the rest of the food was served. Every single dish except 2 was WRONG!! 4 of us ordered the flatiron, which the menu says is served with risotto and asparagus. They all came out with green beans and mashed potatoes. When we asked that it be fixed, the waitress acted offended when we wanted to keep our plates so we had SOMETHING to eat while we waited another 15 minutes! Not to mention, my steak was cold. Not warm. Icy cold! In an attempt to make up for what the chef apparently lacked, the waitress brought us a bottle of champagne on the house. And when I say bottle I mean unopened bottle and a tray of glasses. My sister on law had to open the bottle which exploded allllllll over her!!!!!! And the waitress says "don't worry about the floor.. I'll get that". Wow!!!!! The waitress should have poured the champagne herself!!! I will say that once the food finally arrived, it was absolutely delicious! The risotto was cooked perfectly. The salads here are to die for! Now, skip ahead 1 day. Husband and I return for our honeymoon get away. The room is lovely! The next morning we order breakfast and have it delivered to our room. It was very nice! The food was a 7 out of 10. Later that night we wanted some coffee but noticed the coffee pack for the coffee maker in the room had not been replaced so I called the front desk to see about getting some more. I called 5 times over a 35 minute period and got NO answer! So I called the restaurant and spoke to Nanette, who said she would let someone know. No one ever came..... So on our way out to dinner, I stopped by the reception office only to find it abandoned. I left a note on the desk. We returned from dinner to find coffee packs left on the dresser outside our door. Good enough right? Only, we had no filters!! We had to use a Kleenex!!! So, our last morning at 920 I call to order our breakfast, which is already paid for, only to be told that its too late!! There is a sign on the reception desk that clearly says "for room delivery order before 730 and after 900." This place has SOOOOO much potential! But they are definitely lacking in service. With a place this beautiful, it would be easy to keep people coming back I only they would step it up. Not sure if we will be back...

My wedding was originally planned for May 2, 2020 but thanks to Covid, our wedding moved to August 15, 2020 and then again to May 8, 2020. When we rescheduled both times Shirley agreed in writing to the new dates. On January 7, 2020 I paid her the remaining balance on our event via PayPal. On March 23rd I reached out to confirm her arrival time for our wedding. At this point Shirley acted as if she had completely forgotten about our event and in a round about way said she could not provide the florals we had contracted her services to provide. The Flower Truck broke our contract. Simply put. At this point, I was floored. I was 40 days from my wedding and my florist is saying "can't do it." And at no point did she take any responsibility for the situation. When I made it clear I wanted a refund bc now I had to find a new florist I got the run around and was told she was keeping my deposit. I'm sorry, but that's not how contracts work. She offered to "split it" with me. And took it upon herself to short me $91.58 when I finally received the check. She also took it upon herself to write "full refund" on the memo of the temporary check that she mailed post dated along with a card where she blamed Covid and my bridesmaid for her failing to plan for the event I paid her to provide floral services for. Shirley is beyond unprofessional, unorganized, takes zero accountability, and is a liar. Do not use her to provide floral services for any event. And do not pay her in advance because you will not get your money back.

I had some friends recommend this company…read more I spoke to one of the owners when I called to make reservations to rent an inflatable water slide. She was soooo nice and helpful! They don't require a deposit. My son ended up with the stomach bug a couple of days before his birthday party. Sadly, we had to cancel the party and our rental reservation. I hate that I had to cancel, but the owner was so understanding. We plan on renting a slide later this summer and I will definitely be renting from this company. An A+ wonderful experience.
