I've never written a review like this before, but Comcast/Xfinity has gone so far off the rails that people need to know just how completely broken and absurd this company has become. A tree fell and took out the cable line to my house. The internet went out--obviously. But over the course of SIX HOURS on the phone, across 16+ calls, not one person at Comcast could comprehend the basic, physical reality that no cable = no internet. Instead, I was subjected to the same loop of pointless "modem health checks" and pre-scripted resets on equipment that was literally not connected to anything. Think about that. Six hours of me just trying to say, "The wire is down." And them replying like bots. Over and over. I then went to the store in person, sat there for 30 minutes, and was completely ignored before someone finally talked to me. Still no help. Still no fix. Just more empty smiles and no accountability. This isn't customer service. This is a complete abdication of responsibility. Comcast has effectively ceased to operate as a functioning business. It's like the company was handed over to AI systems and the humans just walked out. No one is home. No one is in charge. There is no service, no care, and no reality check happening behind the scenes. I was forced to switch providers just to survive. But the level of incompetence and disrespect I experienced left me stunned. Comcast didn't just drop the ball--they launched it into the void and walked away. To Comcast/Xfinity: You are no longer fit to operate as a service provider. You need to be completely stripped of responsibility, restructured from the ground up, and replaced with people who understand what accountability means. Your systems don't work. Your people are unresponsive. And your entire model is collapsing under its own negligence. This wasn't a mistake. This was a message: You don't care. You don't serve. CAVEAT EMPTOR -- We had Comcast service for 30+ years. Moving to Maine, where the cable provider is NOT Comcast, we had to close our account in Pennsylvania. The agent said there was no problem keeping our mobile service, but he did not tell us there would be an additional $25/month fee since we no longer had other services. One year ago, the agent at a different Xfinity store talked us into getting two watches "for no extra charge". Hah. When I told the agent this year that we did not use one of the watches, he said there was no problem canceling it. When I called to cancel it, I was told I owed $125. Certainly no problem, just costly. The Xfinity cellular service is horrible here in Maine, but we cannot afford $250 to switch carriers. It is so difficult to connect with someone, and when you do, it is an offshore agent with limited communication ability. read more

Stopped in the other day to ask about my plan, spoke with who I believe was the store manager her name, might be Diane? Not sure. She was completely unprofessional, scoffed at most of the questions ask as she couldn't answer any of them and seemed squander. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak too, and all she could tell me was to call customer service. She seemed potentially new, completely unqualified and the store atmosphere felt toxic. Such a shame, was in the store last September to start my service and a young man, very tall, helped me and was more than patient with my 42 million questions. I get it's a pandemic, but is that really who you want running your store?!?! read more

I loathe internet/phone/cable companies. They are the worst of the worst for customer service. But their contact people at this store are the best. They are very patient, unflappable and dedicated to helping store customers navigate their crappy company. They are making the best of a bad situation and are very, very helpful. I woke up to no phone service due to what turned out to be an error in the information in the system at Xfinity, had to drive to the store location (no phone, remember?) and was quite upset. They helped me, solved the situation, and maintained a calm professional demeanor. I am still pissed at the company, but their service people are the best!!! read more

this is the worst place of business I've ever been to. the automat bill pay machine cannot print receipts every time I go in there. if you need to talk with an attendant be prepared to spend at least an hour in line. I will drive a hour out of my way to avoid this store. read more

Moved to Kane Apartments for 6 months. Comcast rep Doug Kleitz talked me into a contract for Comcast. Said, "IF you move to area not covered by Comcast, they will honor disconnect." I was charged 200.00. After long conversation with manager of Comcast, I was told I would not be charged. FALSE/Lies. I spent hours on phone with Comcast/xfinity. I was told I would be issued credit per manager and that never happened. This started with their sales person.......Doug KLeitz who got a big commission with the sale. I moved out of the area where there is not Comcast. This company is awful. All employees lie to you. read more
