We appreciate the help that the recent technician supplied. It's not his fault I'm giving xfinity such a bad rating. We bought our house 4 1/2 years ago. And since then the internet went out twice due to the cable being ripped off the side of our house. We work from home and need the internet to run our online business every day. Giant trucks ripped the cable down both times , and this could have been avoided if the cable had been installed properly. Also, if anyone including us was anywhere near that cable when it was violently ripped from our house, causing structural damage to the exterior of our home, The cable could also have caused major injury or death by be heading to us or random neighbor children. It was hung too low and when the technicians arrived the TWO other times this happened, we insisted it be hung higher above the street, and also at the same time the cable needed to be buried under ground near the house as well. But the people who installed it were lazy and ignorant and gave us attitude and refused to do their job correctly. TWICE Finally this third time, We were not able to run our business for weeks and had to call xfinity every day for half a month. They ignored us, then sent a technician that told us our order was marked closed And we told them to open it and do their job. They finally started taking us seriously because we found the corporate number. And threatened to take legal action. read more

Xfinity had got to be the WORST at providing good customer service. Before moving states, I had xfinity as my internet provider for about 5 years. Really didn't have any issues during that time, except the occasional outage, as I was able to connect their internet service with my own modem and router so that was easy enough. Once I had to deal with their "agents" however, it all went downhill. I moved somewhere that xfinity does not support, so I had to switch to spectrum. Despite calling and confirming that my plan was canceled before the move, I was billed another month automatically because of autopay. So I reach out and asked for a refund, which I was told was doable since I had canceled the plan and done all the right things. Sounds like the problem was solved right? WRONG. I have talked to at least 5 different "agents" and despite being told I'd get refunded to my card, after a month of going back and forth, I still have not received a refund. They did try to give me a $120 credit, and then $220 in credit to my account, but as stated before I can't use xfinity in my new location so that was useless to me. TLDR: if you have the option to choose between xfinity and something else, CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE! Do not waste your time with this company because they could give less of a care about what's right. After 23 years with Comcast. My contract was up. Cost doubled. They sent me email after email asking me to agree to a new monthly charge with no details of what I was paying for. It listed internet only, not the TV I asked for, not the rental equipment. Just told over and over to agree to the charge. Then said that if I did not agree, I would not get the deal again. That sounds ok to me, thinking I don't want Comcast at all. 3 hours of my time gone, and no service agreement. And now I have to call back to turn off service when I find a new company. The staff is not trained. Or are they trained to trick the public into paying more? Seems Comcast has a system here. Double your cost and don't let you agree to a new contract. I will be contacting the FCC with my proof of them trying to get me to agree to something without telling me what I am agreeing to. I am a college-educated person who works in the medical field. This is not because I am stupid. It is Comcast being shady. I feel sorry for their staff. When the FCC opens up again, the government shut down at this time. Been a customer for 20+ years. Needed to downgrade services. Spent 2 hours on site and on phone. Each time I agreed to a plan, was put on hold and then transferred to another rep who would tell that the plan was not available to me. After 5 different prices and plans that ran from 9.95 to 14.95 to 30.00 to 55.00 and finally to 65.00 a month. In one instance, I was transferred when I asked what the download speed would be, and was told that I would have to speak with some one else for that information; so after another wait was told by the new rep that there was no such plan and that the best I could do was to was 65.00, unless I wanted to add a phone line. Probably one of the worst customer services I've gotten around the country in regard to wifi services. My wifi has had issues since I moved here a year ago and it took about 5 separate phone calls and 1 walk in to get a specialist out there, just to tell me what I already knew about our wifi box being faulty. Then they scheduled a mechanic to come out that rescheduled twice and then ended up not being able to fix the issue. Then I filed a complaint on a public site where they responded to it saying they were "so sorry" about it on the public forum and that they would reach out to me separately. Then never did. So I've just had to live intermittent connection every so often the last year. Also I've had more wifi outages here than anywhere else. Unfortunately they're the only company that offers speeds I need in this area. Not worth the money but no other options. read more

The absolute worst internet company I have ever experienced. I'm surprised they're still in business. Was scheduled a day and time to connect our internet. They texted me with a confirmation number with date and time. But no one showed up. So we called customer service and asked what was going on with our connection appointment. They said we need to reschedule for a different date. Then 3 days later, same thing, we had an appointment for a day and time. But this time, we had a text from the tech saying, we're on our way. Be there shortly. And so we waited. Had another text from technician saying he's there but needs to gather all his things. 45 minutes went by and still no tech showed up. Called customer service again and now they're saying they will be at my house in 30 minutes and yet no one shows up. They're definitely playing games with us, which we're not playing with them. After a hurricane that hit our area a week and a half ago only one neighborhood, mine, is still without internet. They keep saying it's not safe. It was barely hit by the hurricane. We couldn't be any safer. Getting someone on the phone was impossible. Still haven't answered. Before this my internet went out constantly. Calling them isn't worth it. They don't care, they're rude and if you happen to finally reach someone you can't understand them because they are foreign. I'm done with Xfinity. I'm going back to Planters or somewhere else. So I had to come in to return equipment from the previous owner of my home and get new services for myself. Unlike others have said, my equipment return was crazy easy. They scanned it in right at the welcome desk and that was it. So easy peasy! Wait time for services: there are five employees total on the floor many of which don't look like they are doing anything but I don't work here so I don't know what they're actually doing. I waited for maybe ten minutes before my name was called and can I say.. AMAZING customer service. Every employee I've seen there within the last two days has been so friendly and helpful. Would give zero if I could. Horrible internet quality - I'm getting between 1 and 4 mbps over the last week. This happens every few weeks or so. When I call, the customer service representative can not explain to me what the issue is and claims the only way they can fix it is to send a technician to my house. I can't rearrange my schedule to have a technician come to my house every time the internet goes out. Customer service is super unknowledgeable, can't answer questions, and at times rude. I will be cancelling my contract ASAP and switching to ATT which is actually much cheaper in this area. read more

Need a Zero rating! Very disappointing! We purchased Comcast - Xfinity in Savannah - 8-12 streaming devices and unlimited internet. We received the modem by mail (COVID19) and hooked it up. Never worked correctly because it streamed but wasn't enough to carry anything. Called 6 times and got a computer and was promised a human call to check to see if resetting our modem worked (not sure how they didn't know). My daughter has to use internet for her classes, but from July 14th to September 23rd, it wasn't working. On September 23rd, I finally got a real human from Comcast to check our equipment. He was very knowledgeable, and preceded to tell me that he put in for a refund because the box had never worked correctly and to call should I not receive the refund. So I had to notify Comcast and was asked, Why I didn't call sooner. So I informed her that I did, multiple times: 8/11 - Online support - Showed Connectivity but no signal - told I was going to get a phone call 8/12 - Online support - reported again - again promised phone call 9/2/20 - Went online to complain - still no person available finally found a phone number! Called with no person again 9/22/20 - 12:08 twice 912-651-6477 - called twice more - got computer again. 9/22/20 - Online service automated sent me to a person online and I got a different number! 1-800-266-2278 to call - made appointment 9/23/20 - 12:10 1-912-525-2820 - Technician came said modem was not working and hadn't been for months. He put in for a refund - he said there wasn't enough usage to carry anything. 10/8/20 - No refund issued so I called and spoke to Lakisha - got an attitude with why I didn't let them know about the internet before now. I explained that I could never get a person on the phone and no one called me as promised. She said that, "A lot of agents were switched over to chat to help quickly resolve our customers issues so that customers didn't have to be on a long hold." However, I was only credited for "some" of the time while she fully admitted that since we had a new modem, the internet was working much better (isn't that what I said). Horrible service and two hours of time while negotiating.... It is October 10th and we have used more data than any other month since we got Xfinity. This says it all! Worst retail experience ever. I walked into the Xfinity store just to purchase a pod unit. I was greeted by no one...no one to direct you where to go or what to do, and no sign with that information. There were probably 15 customers milling around the store, waiting or talking to one of the 6 service reps. I saw the Pod product that I needed on a shelf, so I picked one up and went to the express checkout terminal in the back of the store. It would not scan the product, so I asked a rep how to check out. His response was an indignant "where did you get that???" (referring to the Pod). I replied that I got it off of the shelf and tried to pay at the terminal. He responded "you can't do that, you are not allowed to touch the products". Me: "then how am I supposed to get a pod and pay for it?" Rep: "You talk to a service rep who will get one out of the back." Me: "The service reps are all busy, and all I need to do is purchase this item". Rep:"you need to put your name on the list and wait for a rep to call your name". Me:"Can you put my name on the list?" Rep: "No, people are waiting for me. You need to wait in line to put your name on the list." Me: "what line?? there are people milling around everywhere, and the reps are all busy with customers." Rep: "you have to put your name on the list to get help." Since Comcast's lack of customer service is already legendary, you'd think that my expectations would be so low that there would be no need to review - however their ineptitude was so far beyond absurd it warrants some griping. First ... 11:45am on a Monday morning. 16 people in line ahead of me. --There were 6 people "working" but only 2 people behind the counter actually assisting customers. ---------2 CSRs are dedicated "Greeters" at the door even when no one is walking in. ---------1 "manager" walking around also checking people in that were already checked in? ---------1 woman who walked around, picked things up, set them down and avoided eye contact with everyone at all costs- except her friends that were hanging out- she talked to them a lot Again I repeat - long line, line only growing longer, no attempt to have more than two people assisting customers. The greeters were telling people "it's about a 15 minute wait right now". Yeah, right. There is a self pay kiosk that accepts credit cards, checks and cash --- but if you don't have exact change (machine does not accept change mind you) then you have to wait in line to pay your bill. At some point they started bumping the cash pay people ahead of everyone else in line- only none of the cash pay people just wanted to pay cash- they all wanted to dispute their bill, ask about different services, ask how to use their remote (I'm not kidding) etc. After waiting 80 minutes (for 15 people to go ahead of me) I spent the next 35 minutes trying to explain that I was returning all of my cable boxes and modems and wanted my service terminated. Their system to return items is horrible. First, you have to wait for about five minutes for someone to check you in. And then, you have to wait nearly 30 minutes (my check in receipt said 2:13, but wasn't called to be seen until 2:40) for someone else to call you to return their box. I should have just kept it until they sent me a self addressed/paid box to mail it back to them. Nobody here cares about their customers. For the past year I have tried to get my account "fixed". I am forced to pay by phone because I cannot log in to the online account because the email is linked to an older account in another state. Originally was told it was fixed in this store location, to later realized it wasn't. Fast forward, I wanted to log in because I am moving and wanted to transfer the service. I go through the chat online and the issue still cant be resolved. Maybe I am missing something but I can't seem to understand how XFINITY can't make changes and corrections to MY account that I provide all the pertinent information for, in THEIR system that they created and maintain? Comcast in the eyes of many is equivalent to the IRS nobody likes them . They're like the mob minus the violence but it's their way or the highway. They know you've got nowhere else to turn, satellite give me a break not if you've got trees in your yard. Yes Comcast is robbing you blind but here's the good news this service center is wonderful. This center is located in the middle of town and the people who work here are incredible. They get you in and on your way in no time at all. Upon entering you sign in on a computer screen which also allows you to enter the reason for your visit. Since they now know the reason why you stop in they can now send you to appropriate person instead of waiting in line and then having to send to somewhere else once they found out what your issue was. Comcast is still horrible but coming here makes you feel that they have a soft side even if they're robbing you. The gentlemen that was welcoming guests and taking your name for someone to assist you was too busy on his phone to even look up at me. After I got his attention he said "lemme see the equipment". He slammed the items on the table and I said I'm not paying for whatever you just broke. He then handed me a receipt and said wait for someone to call you. Great customer service and great deals on mobile phone service. We went in to switch to their mobile service and get new phones. The rep was friendly, helpful, and patient. He explained options for new phones, options for monthly service, and then did EVERYTHING we needed for the new service: He set up the new phones, put them in the holsters we had selected, transferred the data from our old phones, etc. He also waited patiently while we went through a lengthy process of finding our account number with our old provider so that he could complete the transfer. read more

If I could give no stars I would. They do not communicate to each other in the store. The assistant manager does not seem to really care about her job. She put me as a last priority she did not do anything she said she was going to do. I went and talked to her twice about the same issue and she still had not resolved it. After having Talked to her twice about the bill and her saying wait to pay it until she can see if I can be credited and that she would email me or call me and let me know if it had been done so I could pay any amount on the account. But heard nothing. Then I came back for the third time after my bill had reached $234 and had talk to the manager who then had me pay $102 while I was there and said my internet would be turned on as soon as I got the payment through. She also informed me that she would take $30 off my bill for the inconvenience of the assistant manager. She as well did not go through with her promise. Also when I reached my house and tried to get onto my Internet after I had paid the bill it would not allow me to. I then had to go back online and pay another $32 for my services to be turned back on. So a total of 134 dollars. So if she would have went through with what she said, my new bill would have been $70. Now I have to pay another hundred dollars because she didn't take the $30 off. And then my next months bill is already due and it's not next month so it showing my bill as $200 after paying 134 and my bill was only 234 seems kind of fishy to me if my apartment complex would allow me to have a different service I would cause this is not good service they do not care about their customers the only thing they care about is money they will make you wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes in their store before you can even talk to someone about anything they are ridiculous. read more
