mtv jersey shore show of yoga studios. great place to go drop in. kim owner is a peach. if you want to actually practice in a heated space, go to Bask studio. Bask is right over the bridge. .8 miles from x-hale! the teachers are wicked (in a good way). They all really care about alignment, which is something I was uncomfortable with at xhale. Xhale teachers didn't care if people were in dangerous pretzel poses. It was not ideal. The classes at bask are challenging. It's not the same old drab. Everyone is ready to go. It feels more fluid. At xhale the teachers are all flipping through notebooks to see what to do next. Made me nervous. Basak studios don't smell like feet. it's sooooo clean. If you are a casual yoga practitioner, and it's close to home, and you have money, xhale is for you. If you are a seasoned practitioner, or want to save money... I really like this studio. I live in Manhattan but am down in Bayhead at a friend's house now and then. I always go to this studio when I am at the Shore. The room consistently has the right amount of heat and humidity to make yoga extra therapeutic and the pricing is very reasonable. Kim Cuppolo is the owner -- knowledgeable, welcoming, thoughtful and an inspiring practitioner. I prefer her classes along with Frank's. Like ALL yoga studios, sometimes yoga instructors get too preachy, singsongy, or try to be a spiritual leader at the ripe age of 20something, but neither Kim or Frank do. Related, some instructors' playlists can be loud and sound like pop radio stations. Choose Frank's classes if this is your hot button also. But if you love pop music with your yoga, go for any instructor here. Again, overall, this is a really terrific studio. It's very therapeutic to practice in the heat. I wholly endorse this studio and wished I lived closer to their location. read more

I've been going to Xhale for about two years now. I am always challenged by the instructors and their knowledge of the practice. Kim and Cupe the owners are the best. They are always asking for better ways to serve their clients. Kim is an awesome instructor, I always learn something new in her classes. My mom and I have been attending this Hot Yoga studio this past week and we were both very impressed with the care we were provided by the knowledgeable instructors. We both agreed that ALL of them were excellent in their guidance and practice. The room temperature was perfect. The aesthetics of the studio overall is fantastic. I love the decor. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that there were no showers in this studio, yet it doesn't take aware from my rating. read more

Studio was very nice, and the 2 teachers classes I was able to take were knowledgeable and sweet. Many people use yoga as an escape through tough times in their life. In May my brother passed away unexpectedly. 3 weeks later I was due to move to pt pleasant for my summer job. While living down there away from all support I found this yoga studio in hopes it would help me through the hardest time in my life. I purchased a 10 pack of classes and was so happy I finally had something living away from my home n family to help me. A week after purchasing I fell and sprained my ankle and was told not to work and put on crutches and that it would take a month or 2 to properly heal. I contacted the studio and asked to speak to Kim the owner in hopes she could do something bc the package expires and I would be moving home before then. After several attempts she finally rudely responds to me and basically tells me if ur foot gets better use the classes. I have never been so rudely addressed by a business while looking for a resolution to a problem. I offered proof from the hospital and I even said I didn't want my money back, if I could use the balance toward merchandise for sale in the studio ( she told me no her stuff is very expensive, which I don't understand bc I didn't ask for anything for free). I believe in the Yoga culture, and last I checked the Yoga community wasn't all about money. To me it seems that you are strictly business and not genuine about Yoga and what it represents. The studio is large with wooden floors, ambient lighting, mirrors and candles creating the perfect environment for a peaceful practice. The studio is clean and appropriately heated which is often not the case elsewhere. The instructors are knowledgeable, providing adjustments when necessary. The owner, Kim, is a kind and experienced fitness professional who makes her clients feel welcome. A water/beverage case is available to quench your thirst along with ample parking. The first time I tried to go, the class that was on the schedule had been canceled, but the schedule on the website was not updated. When I called to find out if there was a class, the owner was very rude, and acted as if it was my fault that I did not know that the class was canceled. Then the owners husband called back and was also rude and tried to sell me a 3 month pass. read more

I love this studio! Each teacher is amazing and each class is different - I find the classes challenging (which I like since I've been practicing for a while) but they are very accommodating to beginners. There is no judgement here which I like. I just moved to the area and have been welcomed with open arms. The studio is very clean, instructors know their stuff and the classes are fun! Loved everything about this community studio in downtown Point Beach except maybe the frequency of classes. More please! The instructors were experienced and varied, and Jersey shore enough to tell me to "lift the ass off the floor" in bridge pose. I almost laughed aloud - they tend not to call it that at Nashville yoga. Beautiful studio space, nice and toasty, clean locker room and bathrooms. read more

I come here whenever I'm in town and need my daily hot yoga fix. While the owners are extremely nice and the facility itself is beautiful, there are a few things that I feel need improvement. The classes themselves are very expensive ($18 a pop) and there are no fans in the studio itself. I have been doing hot yoga for almost two years and this is, by far, the hottest studio I have ever been to. It is excruciating just walking in before you even get started with your flow. The instructors tend to not open windows and I suspect the floor is even heated. This is a slight deterrent for me and I have seen numerous people walk out of class because the heat can be so unbearable. I really feel that they need to invest in fans to keep the heat circulating and the yogis conscious! :-/ While I will continue to go to Xhale whenever I'm in town, I still think the heating issue should be addressed. Otherwise, it's a wonderful studio with challenging instructors and a large, open, clean facility that promotes a spiritual practice. Go! But be prepared to face the heat. The couple that owns this studio are so rude! This is something I have heard over and over from other students and teachers who have worked here. They are very nasty people. They also gossip in front of students about employees. This is the place to go for negative energy and disappointment. read more
