Hi, I'm not one to ever give a review #1 who has the time and #2 people are so hard to please that I don't ever want anyone coming back to me saying their event was a disaster because of my referral - BUT because Xplosive Entertainment was SO fabulous @ my son's Bar Mitzvah on 10-14-17, it wouldn't be fair for me not to share this info and for you not to have the utmost professional group at you next event as I did. I got so lucky surfing the internet and ending up with Xplosive Entertainment especially since I did all the research myself. Never seen or heard of them before, but on my first call I spoke with Melissa & we connected immediately. I didn't know all the right questions to ask other than please tell me your the best & of course any reply on the other end is always yes even when they aren't. But Melissa knew exactly what I was looking for and what I needed as soon as I mentioned Bar Mitzvah.. While talking and discussing my event Melissa put me with the perfect Emcee, DJ and dancers that she knew would best fit my personality and wow was she dead on. Mike S our Emcee was beyond perfect. The term "emcee" is derived from the abbreviation M.C. It is full for "Master of Ceremonies" and also implies "Move the Crowd" and that is exactly what MIKE did- Mike, along with the most energetic dancers of all time Jamie, Dom & Joe were like the energizer bunny, they kept going and going and going, I swear I don't recall them ever taking a break. Although we didn't see VJ the DJ much since he was behind the scene- he himself was amazing. VJ knew his music, he knew just what song to play next to keep the party rolling. The group not only had toddlers & adults including 80 year old's dancing away but also got 60 yes sixty teenage BOYS on the dance floor at the same given time, dancing too not just standing. There is an old saying that goes "Things can go wrong all by themselves, but you have to work hard to make things go right, and that is exactly what Mike and his group from Xplosive Entertainment does. I love that I still get compliments on how great by daughters Bat Mitzvah was last year.. Well this year Xplosive Entertainment was 150% better..Looks like I'll be getting compliments forever... I can & will promise that when you choose Mike S, Jamie, Dom, Joe, VJ or anyone associated with Xplosive Entertainment you have absolutely not a single thing to worry about. XPLOSIVE Entertainment helped turn our wedding into the party we wanted it to be (and then some). Every aspect of their service was phenomenal. From Jordan (MC) to Frankie (DJ) to Jaymie (event coordinator + photo booth attendant), it could not have run any smoother. After we signed the contract with them, we were given access to an online portal where we could provide them with all of the necessary information that they would need for the wedding (i.e. first song, parents of the bride/groom, bridal party members, etc.). We were also able to provide them certain songs that we needed to hear that night and also songs that we did NOT want to hear. Most DJ's I've encountered would take your request and say they'll play it later, then not even play it. Not only did Frankie play every song that we had listed on the online portal, but when we requested a song the night of, that was the next song played. It may seem simple, but it meant a lot to us. Frankie was the perfect fit for our group and was great at reading the room. Jordan was an excellent MC - he was truly a professional. We've been to weddings where the MC was narrating every move of the wedding and others where there was no involvement whatsoever. Jordan was the perfect balance of both. Our guests loved him. He and our maitre d' worked together to ensure each aspect of our wedding was flawless. Jaymie was always so accessible. She responded to emails immediately and answered many of our questions. Any requests that we had went through her and she made sure they were accommodated. Jaymie was also responsible for the photo-booth the night of the wedding. Our guests had so much fun with her and it reflected in all of the photos (which we were given on a USB drive from them). We were also given a album with the pictures and signatures from our guests. Walking out of our initial meeting with Xplosive, my husband and I knew that we had to book them for our wedding. We sat with the VP, Mike L. for 2 hours and we had such a great conversation with him... he is full of awesome ideas. That kind of attention followed straight through into our wedding day. Our MC, Mike P. called me a couple of days before the wedding to introduce himself and make sure we were all set and see if I had any questions. And the day of the wedding?!? That floor was POPPING. They kept the crowd out and having an awesome time. I'm still getting comments about how fun our wedding was. They really knocked it out of the park. And let's not forget: Besides the connection we felt from that first meeting, we were completely sold on a special enhancement that Xplosive offers -- Personalized Audio. My husband and I recorded a short message for each other that was dubbed into our first dance song. We didn't hear it until our wedding day. It brought the crowd to tears (but seriously multiple guests are still commenting about how unexpected and sweet that surprise was). We also got a copy of the song to keep as a memento. Before our event, Mike L walked us through every step of the way and made a very complicated process easy and fun to plan. Being a bit of a control freak, it was difficult to give up the control, but as our affair became closer and closer it was very reassuring to know that we were in good hands with him at the wheel. The week before our mitzvah, we were grappling with what type of music to request. I called Mike and said, "we don't know what to do here...the kids like this, and we like that. Of course it's their special night but we want to enjoy ourselves too!" He assured me that all we needed to do was put that exact quote into our planning form and the rest would be taken care of. I was nervous about leaving the song request sheet blank, but we trusted Mike. And Mike squared did NOT let us down. Mike P MC'd our night, including an extra hour with the kids before the cocktail hour while we took family photos. The energy he brings is BEYOND. There was not a boring moment to be had! My husband and I got married this November, and we used Xplosive Entertainment for our DJ, MC, Photo Booth, and entertainment enhancements. The staff at Xplosive makes you feel like family, and goes above and beyond to make every moment special. Our MC, Mike S., was the life of the party, and had such an amazing energy that radiated to the rest of our guests. Our DJ, Frankie, turned our wedding into a club, and had everybody dancing. Many of our guests said that it was the best party they had ever been to! Our photo booth was a highlight of the party, as was the AMAZING "dancing on the clouds" enhancement that we used in both the reception, but also on the grand staircase in our ceremony (the first time it had ever been done... it was amazing!). My daughter's Bat Mitzvah was in June, 2019. Her affair was at Aurum in Freehold. We were under the impression that Xplosive was Aurum's in-house DJ. We had never been to an affair with Xplosive so we didn't know what to expect. They were very clear about their payment schedule, which I liked. They also had an online tool where you can prioritize which songs you want your DJ to play. Unbeknownst to my daughter I listed a lot of disco, dance music. I also tried to choose good dance music from the 70's until present. ( after all I was paying for the party). Well apparently most of the crowd enjoyed the same music. The dance floor was crowded all afternoon long. People of all ages from my friends to my third cousins ( little kids) were having a ball! My daughter chose the emcee that she liked. Xplosive did an amazing job. From the Start Jordan and the team walked me through everything. They worked within my budget and helped me spend my money wisely. They really did not up sell me on anything. The support staff guided me when the party was close and even reviewed the montage before final approval. To make sure it was perfect! DJ:VJ killed it - we spoke about what I wanted and the vibe I was looking for. VJ delivered on everything, could not ask for a better play list. WOW! This past weekend we partied hard with Xplosive Entertainment for the second time. Xplosive provided the entertainment for our twin daughters' B'not Mitzvah in 2013 and we couldn't wait to have them party with us again this past weekend for our son Caleb's Bar Mitzvah. MC Mike Schaffer and dancers Jaylon and Bridgitt kept the party rocking at a frenzied pace for the entire afternoon. The teens and adult guests of all ages were on the dance floor from the beginning to the end of our party. Caleb is a drummer and wanted a real rockstar vibe on his big day. I have only one thing to say and that is GREAT!!! I have used Xplosive Entertainment for all my parties. They are the best company to work with. They make all you events very memorable and enjoyable. Our guests look forward to dancing the night away with them. We have worked with every member of this amazing team. They make the memories last and wanting to have another party. Xplosive Entertainment provides superb experience and I can attest to it. Jordan helped me with planning the entertainment for my daughter's sweet 16 party. He was always available to answer any questions and I had plenty! He also worked with my budget. MC Mike was great. He was able to get all the teenagers on the dance floor. Its rare I will rave about a company but in this instance I must. The epitome of professionalism is right here. From first contact to end product, these people exceeded our expectations. There are not enough compliments in the english language to give to Cory, as he was beyond outstanding. He is a true professional and knows exactly how to read a crowd.
