Granted, it was the client of Remedy that fired me - Remedy should still act like a decent company and pay the remaining wages for the time I would have worked. In fact, that's exactly what their client does for their direct employees. The big problem here is that if you read the Remedy handbook, it states that if you don't leave sufficient notice, your last paycheck will be paid AT MINIMUM WAGE. However, as is all too common, if you give notice, you can be immediately terminated. To add even more fun to the mix, the state of Nebraska does not pay the first week of unemployment when a claim is filed. That means if you do give notice, thinking you'll be paid either by work, severance, or unemployment - you'll probably be fired, not receive severance, and at best will receive one week of unemployment - which doesn't pay much. So, while I did appreciate the staff and the simplicity of the process of working for Remedy, I'm left feeling screwed over and upset about it. If you decide to work here, and not one of the many other temp agencies in Omaha, just be aware that it's probably going to sting your wallet or purse when you leave. If you don't give notice, you get minimum wage. If you do give notice, you can get fired on the spot. Just make sure you don't have rent or bills due.

They have you take an assessment and they go over your personality test, none of which was reviewed with me after they said they would. They ask you questions about your work history which they already have on my resume and application they have you fill out. At the end of it all they say they work with so many employers and have numerous job openings on the site which I applied for and in my personal opinion over qualify for & still nothing. A complete waste of time & don't recommend anyone coming here for work.

i knew someone who worked here. went to the place he was told to work at. this person was a type 1…read morediabetic. has never touched a drop of alcohol in his life. went to the job site. worked 3 lines all by himself the first day he was there at the job site. in fact the supervisor asked him to start on monday through the company instead of the temp agency. then the following day reported to work and was told the lines were down. 3 days later come to find out was told that co workers told his supervisor he smelled of alcohol. instead of the supervisor dealing with it, they dismissed him and told the staffing agency not to send him back. why not deal with this and have him tested. hes a type 1 diabetic with high blood sugars of course he smells sweet. not his fault. but how dare a company be prejudice against a worker and noone do a thing about it. he was tested a passed with flying colors and now noone seems to care to find him other employment. what a joke.
