This is by far my favorite tanning salon. Palm Beach, Darque Tan...ect... they are all so corporate, not very welcoming, and way too expensive. I live in Houston, so I can only go when I am visiting Marble Falls, TX. Brittany, Carolyn, and Rob do a FANTASTIC job of welcoming each person through the door. It's a family run business, so they make you feel like family. The establishment is extremely colorful, and immediately makes you feel like you are on the lake or at the beach. The beds are great, and they ALWAYS change out the bulbs. OH! They also do the best spray tans. What is different about their spray tans, is they do it manually. That way you won't look streaky, or like Donald Trump. Because these are manual spray tans YOU MUST SCHEDULE AN APPT. The person who does them needs to have another person in the front while they are tanning you. It's incredible rude to think they can drop everything for you without an appointment. (cough cough the lady under my post) Lastly, I want to talk about Brittany. She is the kindest person you will ever meet. Anyone who thinks otherwise has their own problems. She is incredibly intelligent when it comes to the lotions, and she is always concerned about the length of time you are in the bed. The Extreme Tan owners and employees have never been anything but welcoming and courteous. There would be no professional, whether it be lawyer or a Tan establishment-that I wouldn't ask questions prior to contracting them. I was treated sooo rude by Brittney morning. I arrived at 8:45 and they open at 9:00. Brittney unlocked the door at 9:05. I walked in and asked for a spray tan and she told me some someone had called and they might show up so she could do not my spray tan.. she added that they only do spray tans by appointment..I requested a 9:30 appointment and she said no bc I was being rude and was demanding she spray tan me! I basically was refused service and she told me to come when she wasn't their and her mom Carolyn would do me after 2:00... I'll drive to Austin all day long before I would ever recommend anyone be treated like I was treated... I've never yelped before and had to sign up just to pass this info along... very disturbing behavior for a public business ... very very rude... I was very excited to go in for my first spray tan. I went in and met a nice woman who explained the proceedure briefly. We went back into the room where the tanning is done, it was still dirty from the last person. She cleaned it up and we got started. I followed her directions exactly. She said that my tan was going to look great. She left me with the machine to dry myself (she didn't tell me how to turn it off) and went back up front to help someone else. I got dressed and she explained not to shower until the next morning and it should turn out great. I started noticing the smell was overwhealming. The next morning I showdered and came out looking like a clown. I have huge dark paches on me some places that are not tan at all. I was very upset and sad. I called and spoke with her and she said that this has never happed before. She ask me about medications that I use and I told her that I do have medications that I take daily. She said that she shoud have asked about that before. She said there was nothing that she could do to help me. She said that I could use oil and exfoliate, but that may not help either. I ask her about getting at least some of my money back and she told me that she doesn't do refunds. I payed $35 for an overpriced tan that last 3 days to a week, this not only tanned me in some places it turned part of me black. Thanks for the tan lady!!! read more
