This fire department is located right in the middle of town with easy access to the highway. I would definitely recommend calling them if they're is an emergency.

I had to call 911 dispatch due to my husband having a lodged kidney stone. He was in such severe…read morepain he kept violently throwing up and couldn't get up off the floor (he has an extremely high pain tolerance too). The ambulance arrived quickly after I called which is pretty much the only good thing I can say about these guys. We had like 5 paramedics show up (really?) and they all were arrogant pricks. There was one (who called himself the "kidney stone expert") that kept rudely interrupting me as I was trying to explain to him what the problem was with my husband! Seriously? Excuse me you are not a doctor or a Urologist! THEN they made my husband get up, walk down the three flight of stairs, and wait outside by the ambulance while they decided who's driving, who's riding b*tch, and who's gurney surfing instead of putting him in the ambulance and then deciding!! UMM WHY?!! He had to just stand there bent over in pain while they talked and chuckled with each other! I should have just drove him myself! I definitely know what to do next time! Just hope that if you get into an accident or some type of emergency its not here in Salem. Even if I were dying I still wouldn't call these idiots.
