An instructor led us from beginning to end making a bowl. They were very thorough, patient, and welcoming. We sat down on the wheel forming our clay within minutes, I'd say we had our fully formed bowls within 30-45 minutes. They pulled them for us and began drying them for us to glaze at the tables with the turntables. The place was pretty empty so they let us take our time with glaze. Overall a great experience! Would definitely recommend for a date, family outing, or any other event. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit and there are memberships available as well!

I enjoyed looking through all the options of pottery. I really wanted the popcorn container shaped pottery but unfortunately they were sold out. I decided upon a cupcake container with a removable lid and my boyfriend chose the octopus. The staff was great. We had an employee show us the different painting techniques. We were shown how to choose the colors and the difference each color would have when it was the finished product. I appreciated that there are aprons to wear. It took us a little over 2 hours to complete our masterpieces. During this we snacked on snacks and drinks that I brought in - yes, it is byob (and snacks). I came in several days later to pick up our masterpieces and I loved my cupcake! It came out amazing. I think this can be as affordable of a date night you want it to be based on the items you choose to paint. We had a fantastic time talking and painting. Can't wait to come back.

As closing time got near, we were getting a little anxious that we would not finish, but never felt rushed by the staff at all. They were super kind and helpful to us when asking questions. I called about 3 weeks in advance to book a private party in their small room. There were 12 of us (7 adults and 5 children). When I called to book I spoke with Anna who was super helpful in answering all of my questions. She was also our guide the day of the party. We were able to bring in our own food and drinks for the party. I will note that the party room does not have a ton of extra space if you have a larger party. There is a counter that can be used. Once our whole party arrived Anna gave instructions on what price point to stay within (pre arranged) and sent us off on our own to choose which ceramic we wanted. Then she instructed us to pick which colors we would like. You start with 4 and can add more as needed. Then we got to work. Our whole group was engaged in their project. We laughed and had a wonderful time. Once we were finished she collected our ceramics to store until they were put in the Kiln. The wait time was about 2 weeks. I would recommend for all ages and group sized.

They have a clay roller, if like me, you would rather have them roll it out consistently. They also have tons of tools, an employee to guide you, and books to inspire and guide! There are also classes to make lazy Susan's, fairy houses, throw on a wheel and simply come in to paint pieces also. Something for everyone. However my two star take away is from the fact that I went on my birthday and arrived between 1:30-2pm. Shortly after arriving and being told to pick our pottery (as many studios have different processes) we waited for further instructions but a party came in and we had to just wait around until they were taken care of(which I will get to why became a problem) Finally a different worker helped us out (she was lovely! Very sweet and bubbly. She had candy cane Christmas nails) So we began to paint, I saw others come in too. At around 3pm we're told they're closing early at 3:30 for a private event so we can wrap up our paint job or take it home and come back. We had been waiting to start because of another party which isn't our fault and took away from our time only to be kicked out early. My issues is 1. Why were we not told the moment we came in they were closing at 3:30 instead of 6pm that Sunday? Why was it not written on the chalk board outside? Seems like a way to just still make money because now people have started the pottery of course they have to come back and finish it and pay you. 2. We don't have family or friends here in FL. My. Family lives across the US, we only were able to go for my birthday because a friend happened to come to town that weekend and offered to watch our kids. So when will I be back to finish this piece of pottery? GOD KNOWS WHEN. We timed it perfectly for ourselves and frankly had we known they were closing in 2 hours or less we would have just left. Also I get that you're renting out for private parties but again not notifying others (even the people that came in probably 30 mins before you planned to close!) is annoying. It was my birthday too, the only thing I cared to do that day and I had to leave, no matter how I scheduled my day around that time frame and even though I wasn't finished. It just gives money hungry vibes to not notify people before allowing them to start.

I am in love! I am a huge card-making nerd and I discovered this place while wandering around…read moredowntown Mt. Dora. It's located in a precious antique-looking house and features 2 different floors of stamping heaven! Literally every surface of this shop is covered with supplies and stamps. My favorite part of this store is the plethora of sample cards that the owners have scattered throughout the store. I seriously had creative overload. They make the most beautiful cards and everything you need to make them is right there at your fingertips. I didn't see one stamp there that I've seen at other local shops. Don't expect to see anything you'll find at JoAnn or Michael's. These are unique and good quality stamps! The owners have them organized by "theme" - holidays, names, birthday, etc... so it's easy to find what you are looking for. There are also a ton of embossing powders and embelishments as well. Basically, anything you need you can find here! Classes are offered a few time a week, for a fee of around $15 if you want to learn some new techniques! This is such a great local business. It's owned by a mom and daughter team and they have been around for 3 years. These people truly love what they do and opening this store was a dream of theirs. If you are into arts and crafts, go check them out!
