I was out walking near my hotel and passed this place up, and decided to give it a shot. TBH, what drew me in was the "Kyoto" in the name of the restaurant because I went to Kyoto a year ago and had the time of my life, lol. Upon walking in I was immediately greeted by the chef and staff, and was impressed and in love with the Japanese-style decor!
On to the food! Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I thought this food was either going to be a let down, or pretty dang good. Luckily, it was pretty dang good! I started off with some gyoza, which was both flavorful and texturally pleasing! My main course was pork miso with egg over rice. Man, it was really, really good! Super super tasty and reminiscent of the food I had in Japan! I then washed the meal down with some Kirin, which was probably my favorite beer I had while in Japan. The service here was great as well, and I definitely recommend this place if you're in Barcelona and are craving an authentic taste of Japan!
