They were fine and respectful just felt like the comics held back a little because it was kids. We will def go back for a 21 up show. We will won these tickets over Christmas so it was a nice surprise to get to do something in our own town that we had not done. The comics were good we had great laughs. The Savannah Philharmonic calls the Lucas their home. SCAD has many events in the building. There is a small cafe at the front with popcorn, drinks, some small bites, and alcohol too. There is parking to be found on the street. Yes, you will need to pay for it. There are parking garages close too. The Lucas was recently restored a few years ago. It is beautiful. The theater itself is not huge. It is not meant for a gigantic audience. But it comfortably fits a very large crowd on two levels. I have sat on both levels. You see well from both. The Lucas is a building worth a visit.

We are season subscribers and we made the reservations several weeks ago anticipating this show…read more Then our lives got busy: a trip out of state to see family, hosting 2 holiday parties, and a day trip to Atlanta and back, plus on the day of this show, we went to Jekyll Island for cookie decorating, had dinner with relatives then came to the show. When we got to our seats at the theatre, we both were exhausted, but soon the show started and we both found ourselves fascinated by the fast paced action and character changes of the facile cast. We were enthralled with the glib dialogue and comedic timing of the entire troupe. By the time the intermission came, we were both so relaxed and relieved by the show that we eagerly waited for the second act to start. This performance and this theatre company set a new benchmark for theatrical production in Savannah. Don't miss this show! But if you do, make plans now to see the next one

We bought tickets ahead of time and got there early to grab good seats and pop corn. The screen was more projector size and not a full wall movie theatre. The line to get inside and for concessions the last 15 minutes before the show started were extremely long. They also had a cute photo booth set up and I believe they were collecting donations for a charity by selling these pictures. The bathrooms were clean and the theatre was easy to navigate. For an $8 ticket, I'll for sure come back. Even if the movie is 20 years old!

The first part takes you on a trolley ride that goes around town in a trolley while hearing from a tour guide. This part definitely emphasizes on the historical parts of Savannah and it's interesting to see these sorts of buildings with a bit of narration. The 2nd half had us stop at an old building and when we walked in, we got an amazing show inside. Note that photography is not allowed during the show. Although the story was more theatrical-oriented than historical and sometimes gave a chuckle, the actors have a phenomenal performance, especially the priest narrator. Don't want to get in too much spoilers but it's entertaining to say the least. Overall, loved the unique experience of Savannah!

Both were VERY nice and the the trolly was completely in sync with the guide (reaching the destination at just the right time in the story. They incorporated material from guests on the bus and peppered laughs throughout the tour. It was irreverent, a little raunchy in just the right way to make you blush. One of the highlights include Danny existing the bus and taking the show to the street with innocent bystanders becoming part of the show, all while narrated inside by Danni. We covered several blocks with Danny running through the streets and squares while we laughed in the air conditioned trolly. A great show, must do when visiting Savannah... and you'll learn a little history too... but much, but just enough.

The highlight (or should I say lowlight for my husband's dignity) was when he received an unforgettable "lap dance"--or more accurately, a face dance. I have tried for several weeks to contact Muse Arts Warehouse to rent it for an event. After…read moreemails, texts, voicemails, multiple phone calls and even speaking to someone in the box office I have pretty much given up. I am a patron of their space and was really hoping to use it on a repeat basis, it is a shame that such a creative space is being handled so poorly that it can't be used for actual events. I also found it amusing when I recently received an email asking for donations, I tried to give them my money and in exchange I wanted to fill the space for a night, last time I check that's how this is supposed to work. For the sake of their business they should try and fix this problem soon, even if the answer is no about renting the space they should have the professional courtesy to return communication, every time you do things like this it effects your reputation and in turn financial supporters.

Savannah Stage Company is a non-profit theatre that formed in 2012 thanks to a successful…read moreKickstarter campaign. I was introduced to these guys through an improv performance at a wedding reception. How cool of them to perform at a wedding and what a novel idea for the bride and groom to arrange for an improv troupe to perform at their reception. It certainly made the dinner more lively and entertaining. The group that came to perform for us included Jayme Tinti (Artistic Director), Joanna Walchuk Aprea, Wesley Pridgen, and Cydnei Prather. Jayme was the energetic host/MC and she guided us through all of the acts. I've been to several improv shows in Atlanta so I was familiar with some of the formats. What makes improv fun is the audience interaction. All of the acts performed required input from the audience. Some of the acts actually required a member of the audience to directly participate on stage (or in our case, on the wedding dance floor). Examples included an act where someone from the audience would tell the actors to instantly "change" their story throughout the act and another act where the actors sang a song about an audience member they just met and knew only a few facts about. It was funny. There were games like one actor having to guess the other actors' personas or professions (suggested by the audience). There were stories and musicals with ideas, locations, and music types suggested by the audience. Cydnei served as both an actor and a live musician. I was impressed with her musical improvisation on the keyboard. On a whim, she was able to churn out music that matched the mood of the act whether it was dramatic, lighthearted, or something else. Props to her. Overall, I thought the entire group did a fine job. They were wacky, enthusiastic, and quick to think on their feet (something I'm terrible at). Thanks for the performance!
