The show we went to seemed to be like an add on show from the main event just before. They seemed surprised that we showed up for just the late show only. Anyway, it was a beginners improv night with some guidance from the regular players. We had a lot of laughs even though it was only about 40 mins. Next time I'll come for one of the regular shows because everyone was so nice and I really enjoyed the space.

The Savannah Philharmonic calls the Lucas their home. SCAD has many events in the building. There is a small cafe at the front with popcorn, drinks, some small bites, and alcohol too. There is parking to be found on the street. Yes, you will need to pay for it. There are parking garages close too. The Lucas was recently restored a few years ago. It is beautiful. The theater itself is not huge. It is not meant for a gigantic audience. But it comfortably fits a very large crowd on two levels. I have sat on both levels. You see well from both. The Lucas is a building worth a visit.

Last night my husband and I saw the new production of The Revolutionists. Previously, I worked and…read moretaught theater make-up, costuming and sets, and my husband was an actor and director. The script has great potential, but we were disappointed with the production. One actress screamed her way through the play, and the repeated knife jabbing was far too much. One actress, Andrea Frankle, was terrific in the role of Marie. The others lacked finesse and nuance in their character developments. Kudos to the set, lighting and costumer designers which were terrific. And finally, the most disappointing was from the Director. Some of staging was confusing and unnecessary, and often didn't allow the actresses to communicate well. If you are unfamiliar with the repertory theater, try them out. But for this production, I'd rate them 2.5 stars out of 5.

We bought tickets ahead of time and got there early to grab good seats and pop corn. The screen was more projector size and not a full wall movie theatre. The line to get inside and for concessions the last 15 minutes before the show started were extremely long. They also had a cute photo booth set up and I believe they were collecting donations for a charity by selling these pictures. The bathrooms were clean and the theatre was easy to navigate. For an $8 ticket, I'll for sure come back. Even if the movie is 20 years old!

If you are visiting Savannah and are looking for something atmospheric and family friendly, this is for you! The first part takes you on a trolley ride that goes around town in a trolley while hearing from a tour guide. This part definitely emphasizes on the historical parts of Savannah and it's interesting to see these sorts of buildings with a bit of narration. The 2nd half had us stop at an old building and when we walked in, we got an amazing show inside. Note that photography is not allowed during the show. Although the story was more theatrical-oriented than historical and sometimes gave a chuckle, the actors have a phenomenal performance, especially the priest narrator. Don't want to get in too much spoilers but it's entertaining to say the least. Overall, loved the unique experience of Savannah!

Both were VERY nice and the the trolly was completely in sync with the guide (reaching the destination at just the right time in the story. My husband, two friends and I took this tour on Saturday afternoon on Sept 12, 2026. It was a hot…read moreday and luckily that day the tour was on an air-conditioned bus rather than a trolley. The Moron Twins, Dani and Danny (AKA Ava & Jamal), were entertaining from start to finish. They did a great job getting the audience involved and the jokes, commentary, and occasional history lessons never sounded like they were repeating something they had memorized - it sounded like they were sharing the information for the first time. I think it's smart there is a minimum age requirement (13 years). There is occasional adult language and situations, but never anything over-the-top; I'd say it's the equivalent of a PG-13 rating at the theater. My favorite part was when Danny, a black man wearing a red wig, pretended to be Julia Roberts. He had left the bus a minute or so earlier during another skit and showed up strolling along the sidewalk with his red wig, engaging passing vehicles and pedestrians - it was hilarious. There was a brief stop in the middle of the tour, long enough for everyone to use the restroom and freshen their drinks. I'd like to give a special, personal shout-out to Jamal for looking out for my husband when he was having trouble getting on the bus due to a bad hip. Thank you, Jamal! It meant a lot to me. If you are visiting or if you live in Savannah, this is a must-see tour. I highly recommend it.

Danny Moron and Danni Moron, the Moron Twins were a great duo to entertain the group…read more It's nonstop laughter from start to finish as the duo cracked jokes that interlaced with each other in a smooth delivery. They incorporated material from guests on the bus and peppered laughs throughout the tour. It was irreverent, a little raunchy in just the right way to make you blush. One of the highlights include Danny existing the bus and taking the show to the street with innocent bystanders becoming part of the show, all while narrated inside by Danni. We covered several blocks with Danny running through the streets and squares while we laughed in the air conditioned trolly. A great show, must do when visiting Savannah... and you'll learn a little history too... but much, but just enough.

I have tried for several weeks to contact Muse Arts Warehouse to rent it for an event. After…read moreemails, texts, voicemails, multiple phone calls and even speaking to someone in the box office I have pretty much given up. I am a patron of their space and was really hoping to use it on a repeat basis, it is a shame that such a creative space is being handled so poorly that it can't be used for actual events. I also found it amusing when I recently received an email asking for donations, I tried to give them my money and in exchange I wanted to fill the space for a night, last time I check that's how this is supposed to work. For the sake of their business they should try and fix this problem soon, even if the answer is no about renting the space they should have the professional courtesy to return communication, every time you do things like this it effects your reputation and in turn financial supporters.

Savannah Stage Company is a non-profit theatre that formed in 2012 thanks to a successful…read moreKickstarter campaign. I was introduced to these guys through an improv performance at a wedding reception. How cool of them to perform at a wedding and what a novel idea for the bride and groom to arrange for an improv troupe to perform at their reception. It certainly made the dinner more lively and entertaining. The group that came to perform for us included Jayme Tinti (Artistic Director), Joanna Walchuk Aprea, Wesley Pridgen, and Cydnei Prather. Jayme was the energetic host/MC and she guided us through all of the acts. I've been to several improv shows in Atlanta so I was familiar with some of the formats. What makes improv fun is the audience interaction. All of the acts performed required input from the audience. Some of the acts actually required a member of the audience to directly participate on stage (or in our case, on the wedding dance floor). Examples included an act where someone from the audience would tell the actors to instantly "change" their story throughout the act and another act where the actors sang a song about an audience member they just met and knew only a few facts about. It was funny. There were games like one actor having to guess the other actors' personas or professions (suggested by the audience). There were stories and musicals with ideas, locations, and music types suggested by the audience. Cydnei served as both an actor and a live musician. I was impressed with her musical improvisation on the keyboard. On a whim, she was able to churn out music that matched the mood of the act whether it was dramatic, lighthearted, or something else. Props to her. Overall, I thought the entire group did a fine job. They were wacky, enthusiastic, and quick to think on their feet (something I'm terrible at). Thanks for the performance!
