The food is excellent and consistently good. I think it is very good value and there is a good choice on the menu. There are large round tables with lazy suzies to have big group celebrations which is fun. It doesn;t get too overcrowded so it's a really relaxed evening. Nice wine meun too!

They have really good set menus, that are very well priced for the amount of food that you get. I usually order a takeaway on fri/sat night and despite being the restaurants busiest nights the food is always of a good standard. You also get a free bottle of complimentry wine when you spend over £40, so great for a night in with your friends!! I've been coming here over the last decade and have seen many changes. Currently it is in the best form yet. An authentic menu seems to be what filled the place with Chinese on this Sunday night. I ordered Wontons in hot chili oil hoping to get something similar to a Scechuan dish I recently tried in New York. The large bowl of wonton soup was hot and very hot, making me sweat around my eyes and I admit to shedding a few tears. Though more symbolically they were tears of gratitude to be so warmed up on a cold Portsmouth night. The pleasant waitperson brought me two big glasses of tap water and I was given a large bowl of shrimp chips to nibble whilst slurping my soup. We decided to give it a second chance tonight and it took 1 hour 35 mins to arrive Missing a plain chow mein. After calling the lady who answered stated 'could we not just have the chow mein next time.' After stating my partner is a vegetarian and would go hungry if this didn't show up she said 'right it will be 15 mins' and sounded like I was causing her the problems! 30 mins later it arrived. We made a big mistake giving them a second chance. Really really bad service.
