I've read the other reviews - and I don't think they get her - she's a very sweet yet gruff seamstress who makes magic happen with her needles. Her prices are a bit more - compared to a spot like say - around Camp Pendleton. Where there are a dime a dozen spots. She's one of a kind and has done A LOT of work for my pilot uniforms - and also for my Husband's USMC Uniforms. She's efficient - and knows her trade. She's always got a lot of projects and she's never once been upset for just showing up. Overall she's one of the few I trust to work on my personal work uniforms or formal gowns. Never have been disappointed. She's one of the best. Hands down. read more

This is probably my favorite Sewing/Alteration service in the Niceville/Destin area. Shes very attentive to what she can do and what she cant do, as her background is in dress making and lingerie design and creation. If you order something too small she wont be able to make it fit bigger, so ordering bigger is the best way to make alterations. Shes a master at her craft, shes worked for years in Dress-Making and shes very forward thinking when you bring in projects. Price wise she is very affordable! Her work is not cheap and it takes time, so her price range makes sense for the effort and energy she puts in. Overall 10/10, would reccomend to anyone in this area read more

Yana is the most kind lady! She experienced lots of conflicts with her business lately (location changes, etc.) and dispute the stress, she still was kind to me and took my husband's uniforms and got them done asap! I got them within two days and she offered to even do them in 24 hrs! It's a little more than what I would like to pay, but for the service and timeliness, it was worth it! We needed nine patches sewn total and I can tell she had other uniforms and things to do! I would recommend her to anyone! Great service and work! read more

Never rated before, but had to warn future customers about this business. Took $1,000 wedding dress to Yana's Alterations to just have it shortened and hemmed. She cut it off entirely wrong , and completely ruined dress. COULD NOT WEAR it! She did not apologize, and became agitated and attacked in a threatening verbal manner. So unacceptable, and would never recommend anyone going into the shop. read more

Total rip off! Needed name tapes fast, got quoted $30 which is ridiculous in its self. Then she ran my card for $47.70 for 3 name tapes to be made and sewn on!!! $47.70!!! read more

Yana is great. She is quick, efficient, and very blunt. She won't BS you, and she may tell you a few times, "Oh, I just don't know if it will work" (when altering my many dresses since 2010). But she always comes through. I've needed things done in 3 days and she had them done in 2. She's very good at what she does, but she is very honest, and that can come off as gruff to some people. No dry cleaning, this is strictly alterations. I've had around 5-6 dresses altered here over the years, name tapes made and sewn on...and she's never once disappointed. Don't expect her to sugar coat anything, but if you want it done right, she can make it happen. read more

Horrible customer service. I called prior to arrival to tell her I had two wedding dresses I wanted altered..I showed up and she said she was busy and fussed at me even though I called. Then she said the dresses didn't need altered and it looked fine on me, basically denying service. Wasted my time, don't go, she's rude and her service is horrible and she adds her own preference to how you want your dresses to fit. read more

I never actually had a chance to take advantage of a service here. I went there with the best of intentions but was pretty much immediately turned off and ultimately decided to take my business elsewhere. From the moment I entered the establishment to inquire about the service I wanted to have done, the owner was unwelcoming and impatient towards me. She then complained about the type of alteration I was requesting and ultimately quoted me a ridiculous price to do it. Stopping here was a complete waste of my time. read more

Horrible customer service. Left a dress there. Was told it would be ready before my wedding on Saturday. Never heard from them. When I went to get the dress, months later, thank goodness I had found a second dress, there was no ticket. But they said the lady had left a message. I never received a call or message. The ladies were rude when I took it there and when I came back. I would never go back. read more

Horrible. Granddaughter took a prom dress to her to hem the length and she cut off the train and there was a hole in the hem!!! And charged $80!!! She ruined a perfectly beautiful dress. I am going to hold the credit card charge. She can take us to court for a payment. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I went in there to get a dress altered and was yelled at and berated for ordering the incorrect size off the internet. I was told that the dress could not be fixed and I may as well just order a new one. The alterations needed would have been some work, but I would have paid good money to have them done. Don't waist your time going here. If you read nothing else, make sure you re-read that first sentence. My experience starts with them picking up and immediately hanging up the phone, three separate times, as if to keep it from ringing. I walk into the store needing a single six inch line of stitching and two buttons sewn back on. I ask how much it would cost, the woman behind the counter says $6 and writes out an order receipt. When I look at the work receipt and total it, it comes to $9. I question her about it and told her that I thought it was a little high for what I was trying to have done. she stated "that's the way we do it here!" And without a blink of an eye she ripped the receipt in half and aggressively yelled "you sew it on yourself!" and starts to walk away. I took my stuff to leave and told her to have a nice day. She replied in the same manner as she did when she told me to do it myself. read more
