It was like an amazon page, but for real! Seriously though, they've got a ton of salt shakers that varied from things you'd use and things you'd buy for grandma's collection. The biggest surprise here was the sheer amount of stuff that was contained in this whimsical store. The place extends back into four large rooms filled w/ more kitchen stuff than you can shake a stick at. It ranges from old school to new kitchen trinkets I hadn't heard of. To boot, they've got an old school candy shop in the back where I procured some cherry balls that would may the grandparent jealous. Best part of that area however was the vintage cash register that we got rung up on. Seriously cool for those interested in such pleasantries. The four stars here are based mostly on the lack of stuff available in the immediate area. This isn't a William-Sonoma, but it's a couple steps up from the stores in the Coralville mall where you can get any kitchen novelty item you want, but nothing you'll use. On the contrary, this is actually a place we'll stop by when we're up in Amana, both for things we need and to grab an Elvis salt/pepper combo.

I placed a mobile…read moreorder at 8 this morning, called Michael's at 9 to see when my order would be available for pick up. The associate on the phone was so unnecessarily rude. I got the confirmation email that my order was ready for pick up and headed to get it, it was not there and all three associates in the store were just as rude. One even used vulgar language in front of myself, a customer, which I find to be extremely unprofessional. One of my items in my order was out of stock, even though the store just opened, and the associate acted as if it was an inconvenience for me to return its counterpart. I will not be headed back to Michael's and I am disappointed in the service I received.

Check online or sign up for their email distribution. You can almost ALWAYS get a deal on what you're looking for. 3. Shop online, pickup in the store for free! (They also do a great job showing you what aisle things live in the store online. So be sure you don't go in and leave empty handed.) The staff can be hit or miss. I've had super DUPER knowledgable, cheerful help and then... not so much. Just depends on the day! My basis for a three vs four star is mostly because of an online order I had this part holiday season. I ordered decor, paint and a wood craft. It said it was fulfilled and to come in to pick it up. When I got there, the wood craft wasn't there! When I inquired it was just a shrug, 'we ran out.' All fine... just COMMUNICATE please before I come in expecting my order in its entirety. Overall, a solid craft store. And really the only one of its kind in that part of Coralville. Stop in for a kid's craft, frame or anything else artsy.

We stopped in this location because a family member wanted to. Again, the Saturday BEFORE Christmas. Inventory was very good and they had a ton of great items. You can't beat the book selection, $5 t-shirts, games, toys, pet supplies, home decor and so much more. We waited a good 20+ minutes to check out. There were only 2 employees working. Definitely recommend Five Below. Just wait until it isn't a major holiday weekend.

I've been buying Rare Bird hand soap bars for two years now and love them! Lots of fantastic,…read morenatural scents and they're great for the skin; I especially love the lavender soap. I also recently bought a couple bath bombs and they are da bomb! (wa waaa ;D But really, the bath bombs are great - they give off a pleasantly strong and soothing scent when dropped into the bath, which fills the air to bring on the zen, and leaves the skin soft and rehydrated. I recently discovered they also sell eye compression packs that can be heated or cooled, which I love - they're filled with a heavier substance that has enough weight that when used to cover the eyes during a migraine, there's a gentle compression on the eyes. Now I only wish they also sold bubble bombs. I'm hooked on the ones that Lush makes but I'd love to find a locally-made option that's also using simple ingredients.

I tried to return the basket with my receipt on day 28 from purchase and was told I could not return it because they have a 7 day return policy. No where on my receipt did it say that, nor did the sales person tell me that when I bought it. Poor customer service. It wasn't as if they couldn't put it back on top of the cooler and sell it easily. I'll never shop there again.

Across the street is the building which was the original home of the first Amana appliance manufacturer.
