Went here after being turned away at another urgent care facility…read more This particular location has later hours compared to other urgent care locations, so that is appreciated. I literally just walked in about 30 minutes before their closing time and they were able to take me. While waiting, I looked at all the reviews on Yelp and started getting scared. What was I in for? Would I be waiting 4 hours as described on Yelp? I began to sweat with fear... All in all, I ended up waiting about 45 minutes which while long, was not terrible. I was taken in for x-rays pretty much immediately once they called my name. The doctor I saw was very helpful and kind. She explained to me what was broken and what my outlook was. They even taught me how to use crutches because I've never used them before!

My annual physical was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. After waiting, I was first seen by a medical student/intern. He was polite and professional, but he was unable to successfully draw my blood. He asked another staff member for assistance, and while she came in to help, she seemed visibly annoyed. Unfortunately, she was also unable to draw my blood. After multiple unsuccessful attempts in both arms and my hand, leaving me bruised and sore, they simply gave up and walked out of the room without any explanation or plan for next steps. What happened next was even more frustrating. I sat alone in the exam room for an hour and a half waiting for the practitioner. During that time, I could hear staff chatting outside the room, and I even overheard the practitioner realizing she had completely forgotten about me as a patient. That was unbelievable. When she finally came in, she appeared completely unprepared, as though she was reading my chart for the very first time. She seemed confused about my medications, wasn't sure which prescriptions she was discussing, and appeared uncertain about what tests had been ordered or still needed to be ordered. The entire visit felt disorganized and rushed. Checking out wasn't any better. The front desk staff were rude and completely dismissed the fact that the office had been unable to complete my bloodwork after multiple painful attempts. I was casually told they would "just write a lab slip or something," yet I left without even receiving one. Everyone can have an off day, but this experience reflected a lack of organization, communication, and respect for a patient's time. Spending hours at a routine physical, being repeatedly stuck with needles, leaving bruised, and then feeling forgotten is simply unacceptable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this feedback encourages improvements. Patients deserve better.

I called on July 19th to attain new prescriptions from Dr Haacker. Made it clear that I was told the week before by the same person who picked up the phone that Dr Haacker was on vacation till the 24th. So thinking I could wait I finally called them on the 19th to see if maybe someone can contact him for my written prescriptions. To my amazement he was in the office and was told by this person (who I choose not to mention) that both the Doctor and his asst were very busy. I continued to specify the fact that I did not have any medication left. Made clear how I was feeling due to not taking the meds. This person then took down my info, meds, mgs and pharmacy to call hoping to make their life easier. She explained to me she "would" try to speak to him before she left at 5pm that day if not by the next day because of how busy he is. Ummm busy or not where's the priority here. It takes less then 2 minutes to explain my situation and his ok to have someone call it in... Well here it is 9 days later and NO RETURN CALL....smh.. Good help is hard to find these days or Dr Haacker is simply not paying his staff well and he is getting what he pays for as the saying goes... So I decided I will call again and spoke to someone else who Ive never heard before and from the sounds of her shes not getting paid well either. I mentioned I needed to speak with Dr Haackers asst...Her response was shes busy and asked what did I need. When I explained that I had called the week before and spoke to that specific individual who I choose not to mention here, with info regarding the prescriptions I needed she immediately placed me on hold. Oh Im sure she said to herself, Oh hell no Im not dealing with this. Ironically the person who I spoke to originally picked up. In my calm voice and God knows I wanted nothing more than to tell her how unfit I think she is at her job. I explained who I was and what she said she would do. Her response, after putting me on hold was that the Drs asst stated to have the Pharmacy call the Drs office and they would simply give them the ok. WTF!! No apologies and could she have not done that last week when I called..Especially when I was clear a week had already gone by with no meds. I tell you this lack of professionalism and lack of sensibility to a patients needs is gonna warrant them a big fat law suit one day. I pray Dr Haacker gets his house in order before that happens.

If I'm not there by 8:30 to sign in first, my 9 am becomes 10 am. Either way, I'm waiting an hour to be seen. I understand the practice has to earn, but everyone's time is valuable. I left because I did not appreciate their policies of overbooking. Additionally, it's very hard to actually get through on the phone to actually speak to someone. Phone calls are not returned timely either. Bottom line, unless you're insurance coverage is lacking, you can find an office that's much more personable and "human." Dr Haacker himself is very nice when you see him--eventually...

We've done this with healthcare specialists for my husband, but fortunately we found Dr. Hyatt, Mountainside Medical Group Family Practice, for his primary care physician. She is fantastic and my husband attests that she is one of the best doctors who he's seen. She's set up an office with another doctor, Dr. Julie Kidangan, in Bloomfield (we went to an office in Verona previously). The new space is great. It's easy to drive to from Route 3 or the GSP. There is a private lot for parking, too. The office itself is bright with large windows and a nice waiting area (quiet, neat, and has cute furniture - just saying). The office is located in a one-level building, and is wheelchair accessible with a ramp leading the office entrance. My husband has been very sick this week, so I handled scheduling his appointment at the new office. The office scheduler/manager who worked with me was very polite, friendly, and professional. I don't know about you, but I've had many experiences in the past with office staff who I've sworn truly hate the world. So I really appreciate this friendly service. So without hesitation, I would recommend Dr. Hyatt and this office. As a wife helping my husband, I feel confident that he's getting the best treatment from this office, which gives me tremendous relief.
