I went to ER a few weeks ago because I was in unbearable pain from muscle spasms and a possible pinched nerve. The Doctor from the ER told me to follow up with him. When, I went back for a follow up he was upset asking why I went to the ER. Telling me that my union 1199 would be upset with him because the ER visits are costly. However, I was in terrible PAIN. He was more concerned about my insurance than me the patient. Upon returning to work. He acts as if he doesn't see me at the nurses station or speak at all. When I'm working taking care of his patients. You would think he would inquire how I'm doing or feeling instead he over looks me. I was told by a nurse and a patient that he was in an accident and haven been the same since. But don't quote, I don't have any facts. The same patient told me that she only goes to him because her meds are free.

I booked the surgery then had second thoughts about it so I cancelled. I asked if I should wear a knee brace in the mean time. Dr. Haig said "No it's already torn it won't do any good" I went for a second opinion and the second doctor, who looked at the same MRI, gave me a knee brace and prescribed PT for 6 weeks. The PT has been great it has been at least 6 months since the time I was going to have the surgery and my knee is so much better! Perhaps in the future I may need surgery but I feel surgery should have been a last resort not a first! I was very disappointed in this care I got!

Please understand that open MRI's offer much less detail than traditional ones, since the magnetic field strength is lower to offer you the "open" experience. Questionable interpretation results. "Normal" shoulder MRI report missed a re-torn rotator cuff, a type IV slap tear, torn bicep and 2 bone spurs. My surgeon saw them all on the disk I came with. It's a good thing he didn't just read their report as many doctors do.

She wouldn't listen because she's not all there. I feel sorry for her but this falls under the category of not my problem. I can't name the place where I go because I still go there and I don't want to be retaliated against and trust me they will. She also lied to B and said Medicare insisted I go for a yearly check up so I called Medicare immediately and Medicare said they could care less if I went or not. So she's also a liar. Despite all this I kind of liked her because I like lunatics but not when they're in my doctors. She needs help but this also falls under the category of not my problem!

He then proceeds to tell me to call other doctors office to make an appointment. I then asked him if he could call the doctors office and ask them if they can give me an appointment, instead of me calling them and have to explain everything all over again. I have 30 plus years in customer service, now no one goes that extra mile or above and beyond no longer has exists. I couldn't believe that they couldn't fit me in for such an important surgery for me. The staff needs training in managing difficult times, and how to treat patients. With my experience in working in doctor's offices, I have gone that extra mile to assist a patient. I feel he could have called them and assisted in getting me my appointment.
