Best for takeaway, it can get a bit busy between 6:30-8pm most weeknights, and parking Bay Street is usually a pain in the arse. Dining in is pretty basic but the place is clean, airy, and full of light. In summer, try and get a spot at one of the tables out the front - probably best for no more than two or three people in any case. This isn't the food that you find at the Chinese stall in the food hall, but rather a restaurant owned and run by Chinese, and the worse their English, the more authentic the restaurant tends to be. Okay, it's not Hong Kong, but then again unless you are willing to put aside a week to travel there and back, these restaurants are probably the best that you are going to get. This certainly wasn't a bad restaurant. The staff were ever friendly, and it certainly seems popular, and they also have chop-sticks, which for me is an absolute must when it comes to eating Chinese food. The cool thing about these restaurants is that they have pictures of all the dishes, so you can just flick through the menu and point to the dish you want. However, be careful not to make the mistake that I made and point to the wrong one because you might end up with a meal that you don't particularly like. Oh, I better not forget, they also have pots of Chinese tea for $1.00 each, which is also pretty cool.

I've already detailed my fetish for their dumplings and the no 29 (beef/noodles) however you can add the no 94 (fried chicken/noodles) and beef skewers to the list. The beef skewers are a grilled/spiced cummin delight and great to chew on. Prices are cheap and the service is blunt, this place delivers consistently great food, however a word of warning, go easy on the chilli.

Since then I have been back in a large group of 20 with the girls and they offer a set menu for $35 which was served quickly without fuss in the upstairs room which impressed me. I always find the rolls well prepared and unlike many others, full of ingredients. My only issue with them is that they don't come with a brown rice option. I ate in yesterday and tried a deluxe sushi pack that consisted of prawn sushi, salmon sushi and some carved up sushi roll. The food was fresh, not of the greatest quality but still pretty good for Chinese Japanese. I was surprised that even while eating in I still had to eat out of the plastic container, squirting my soy sauce into the plastic lid and trying to mix in the wasabi was pretty difficult. The plastic flipped at one stage and I was left to clean up my mess with a tissue from the tissue box on the table. My biggest gripe about this place is the massive overuse of plastic containers - it's a huge waste, I need to start bringing my own plate or container.

We got chastised for not being able to finish it all from the cheeky wait-staff, but was all in good fun. Our first visit there but the rest of those eating in seemed to be regulars who the staff were all familiar with, which always tells you a lot about a place.
