DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! On November 23rd 2025 we called yellow cab company for a ride to the pharmacy in Walmart and Coos Bay Oregon due to a vital prescription that was needed. This ride was paid for our insurance round trip $174 and some change. They drop is off at Walmart to get the prescription. The taxi driver said he'd be back he needed to give someone else a ride and then we get a call from the taxi company saying they will not give us a ride back home to Brandon. Then she hung up on me. We were left stranded in the cold at Walmart in Coos Bay they also ripped off our insurance company. Will be contacting the ODOT and OHP also about this safety issue. My wife is in very ill health and this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Beware of using this fraudulent cab company. read more

Drop the fare price from 22 dollars back to a reasonable 12 from Millington to Fred Meyers as it used to be. only 2.5 miles. This was an overnight price hike but they will tell you it slowly increased. That's bull shit. I paid 12 dollars on a saturday 12/20/2025 on Monday 12/22/2025 I paid 22 to Fred meyers. It's sad they've done this, I'm disabled and need assistance to walk, walking that far would be quite an ordeal for me. I have no car and yellow cab was my choice. Now I'm stuck at home and can't even go to store without paying a crazy amount. You guys are greedy and don't give a shit about the customers and the hard times they are going through. I have used Cab & Taxi twice over this weekend. Both days called in advance for pick-up appointment, Friday 6:45 am to work, they showed up on time. Sunday pick-up from Sunset Park campground and gave her the 2 space numbers at 8:30pm. Repeated to her many times there was no cell service there, well no show, had to walk out of the campground twice to call them and by the time Yellow Cab got there it was little after12:00 am. The driver did his job with what was handed to him, the dispatcher did not do her job, plus she was hard to understand and really didn't want to listen to me repeat myself on how it was very important because there no cell service there!!!! read more

I have been using this company for the 20 years I have been in business in Coos bay. This last 2 years have been the worst I have ever seen from these guys. (Its hard to keep a full staff these days) The other 18, I was always able to count on them for anything, picking up Chinese, buying me receipt books (Multiple times), jump starts for people stuck at my location, etc. I have called 3 times today to get A courier service. The first call my own self being a dipstick, I didnt know the address I wanted it delivered to... I tried 2 more times and they were busy or something because my call went unanswered and I didnt leave a message. I called the 4th time to schedule a pick up and delivery for a medical item for my husband. I was told to just call back tomorrow, they don't schedule these things.... The first guy would have been happy to do it scheduled, the guy at 9:45 p.m. on November the 16th 2023, was like absolutely not. I put down the time and date so the owner can chew his butt ;-) read more

Drivers have always been friendly and safe and prices are reasonable within town...and they take credit cards without grumbling about doing so like most cab drivers in big cities. (They just add a $1 credit card surcharge for doing so, which is a it pricey but better than nothing). But you'd best allow *triple* the time they state for a pick-up calling spur of the moment (20 minute quote = 60 minutes in reality). Even with a prebooked ride they've been 15 minutes late in the past. I guess there are some things they can't control but not sure why they can't be more accurate with their initial quote...even if that means quoting a wider range ("30-45 minute wait"). The old "underpromise and over-deliver" method would work well here. Being told it's "about 20 minutes" when calling for a taxi, waiting 35, then calling again only to be told "another 15 minutes or so" and finally having the driver turn up one hour after the first call is very frustrating...especially when trying to get to the airport. This is why I don't take taxis in big cities any longer. :/ If only there was Lyft or Uber in the area perhaps it would force these guys to get things together, as far as logistics go. Keep the friendly drivers, get the dispatch side sorted out...please! read more

If I could give these guys a minus five stars I would. Needless to say I will I will NEVER be using them again. After being assured by the dispatcher at around noon that they could accommodate the needs of my charge, a 90 year old woman, who needed a blood sample drawn at the North Bend Medical Center, ¾ of a mile away, I made a reservation. The cab showed up right on time. This blood sample thing takes 5-10 minutes. The cabby said the meter went back on at 5 minutes. They weren't busy show I should just call dispatch when we were done. We were done in 5 minutes. I called dispatch and they informed me it would be at least 45 minute before I would see a cab. Remember the 90 year old.... She is now madder than a wet hen...... I ended up walking back to the house, getting my pickup and with the help of medical center security guards and neighbors we got granny home. And as for the fare and tip to get there.....Might as well just burned the money. And guys doing worry about trying to apologize or returning my fare. Your employees are a bunch of callous jerks doing what management tells them to. To try and put a little perspective on this: If I found myself at a bar, too loaded to drive, I would call the police or my ex mother in-law and ask for a ride home before I called Yellow. read more

I have had to deal with rude dispatchers when I call for a cab. I have even been hung up on by them. And in my opinion they discriminate & fin especially when it comes to the disabled. Well honestly the actual cab drivers are great, i would actually give them 5 stars if that was all there was to it but unfortunately dispatch and the system they use is a total failure, you can call days ahead of time to schedule but it doesnt seem to matter they're late 75% of the time. They dont notify you of the delay either which sometimes leaves you in a predicament. If youre calling a cab to do anything that is scheduled you should order your cab for an hour ahead of time. Don't bother calling when they're late dispatch will dismiss you and offer no apology, but instead a simple yet defensive and slightly rude "were doing the best we can" no matter how polite or patient of a loyal customer you are. They need a system update and an attitude adjustment. read more

Was charged $46 to go from BULLARDS beach to Bandon dunes (3 miles) based on the 45 minute commute it supposedly took the cab to get to me. Only to see the cab waiting for me 15 min later. I ordered flowers to be picked up and delivered to my friend's house. I initially had complications while ordering the taxi to pay for it in advance, but the number I called for the taxi service was very helpful, and everything got sorted out. The house I had it delivered to is in an odd location, which I warned them, but they were able to find it on their own. I'm very glad it got sent to the right location. I called several times over the last year and no matter what time of day the dispatch says any where between 1 1/2 to 3 hour wait. I was at the casino at one point and I told the dispatcher if I had to wait 3 hours I would be completely broke. My 90 year old mother needed a ride from NBMC, accompanied by her daughter. Two yellow cabs arrived, One parked way below entrance, a couple immediately went over to talk to the parked cab driver, the other circling the parking lot. I get a phone call, female cab driver laughing..."I'm here"....continued to laugh. It would have been kinder to pick my Mom up at the door. OR..... Putting her head out the window telling us" It's this cab, over here.", Not calling and laughing at us, making my Mom walk all that way, which was painful for her. I have been using Yellow Cab here for 3 years since I moved here, I can't drive due to medications. I am a disabled ex-paratrooper, on a medically retired fixxed income. I make the same trip every month for three years for the months supplies and incidentals. Today I was charged basically double for the same ride. Due to extra stops have to be, " in the same direction". I called and the dispatcher confirmed it. Then I say I been making the same trip for 3 years, he says they been undercharging me for 3 years then. Has the policy changed. This has taken place on, 04/15/20199, 11:30 AM. The lady answering the phone was pleasant and efficient, the drivers polite and knowledgeable and they were ALWAYS on time for a scheduled pick up. I dont know how many times my boyfriend and I have called for an arranged pickup to get to work or an appointment on time, just to be told "oh its not in the system" when we call to inquire where our cab is. Atleast a handful of times now. Theres also a younger lady working at dispatch who is always very snooty when we call. The drivers have always been exceptional and kind to me though. After leaving a bag in one of the yellow cabs in North Bend and promptly calling to alert them, I proceeded to engage in the most ludicrous, cluster-f*ck of a tail chase to retrieve my property. After going to two separate locations and meeting with the WRONG cabs I told the dispatcher to send him to me and I would pay him the usual fare for his trouble. This request was for some reason, denied. But not before standing on a darkened street corner for 15 min. waiting for a cab that never showed. I was then told that I would have to go to their office sometime the next day to claim my property. Hello my name is koby Atencio and this is the WORST cab company. Horrible response time. I waited for a cab for 2 hours just to go to Walmart and then I'm currently still waiting over 2 hours to go back home. For my ride back home I called after one hour, they still hadn't even put me on the list. I called after the second hour had gone by AND I still was not on the list. Every time I called they said it would be 30 minutes or less. I constantly take cabs because my drivers license is currently suspended and spend anywhere from 100-200 dollars a month on cabs considering I live a 4 miles out of town. I was really happy and satisfied with this cab company until now. They didn't even offer compensation for having me wait a total of 4+ hours for cabs that were supposed to take 30 min, nor any compensation for not even putting me on the list of rides. I would strongly NOT recomment this cab company. read more

Had a really negative experience with a dispatcher through yellow cab this evening. Made a time call for a friend who did not have a cell phone so he could get to work. The cab showed up but something happened and the cab drove off as my friend was walking up to it, I'm guessing the driver just didn't see him. Either way. I called dispatch to have the cab turn around. The female dispatcher tells me "well time calls need to be outside for the scheduled time", and I explain that he was indeed outside, there must've just been some sort mistake or something, no big deal. Then she says well he needs to make the call and I explain that he did not have a cell phone and I just did it for him so he could make sure to make it to his job on time. I said a few times that I really didn't want to argue about it that I was just trying to get the cab back to him. She then says "Well I can cancel the cab and he can just walk to work" . I said "no, once again I'm not trying to argue, I just need to get the cab back so he can get to work". She says "Well I don't know what happened" and I'm just sitting here totally nonplussed as to why we are even having this conversation. It was just a really negative experience...it's been a while since someone was that straight up rude to me, and it was a very easy fix that didn't require any attitude. read more
