Paradise-like setting Friendliest staff…read moreUnique accommodations I've been staying in hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, tents and other traditional lodging for much of my traveling life. This was my first time staying in an honest to goodness Conestoga wagon, and it was truly luxurious. Not words I ever imagined typing. Pulling into Moose Creek Ranch was not immediately remarkable, but beginning to walk the grounds, I felt the persistent mountain breeze, heard the babbling Trail Creek, and saw the peaceful natural surroundings and well-manicured grounds all commanding my recognition. Then there were the comfortable environs of the ranch buildings, inclusive of the cozy lodge room, a game area, and a spot for breakfast, all with a chill music soundtrack wafting through. The staff were friendly through and through. We took advantage of a trail ride with Biscuit, our wrangler, the morning of the 4th of July, and enjoyed his capable, humorous guidance through a forest trail near the Ranch, capably tailed by Rooster the resident corralling canine. And now back to the Conestoga wagon. These things boasted bunk beds and a king size, with a full bathroom, small sitting area, pre-stocked mini bar with room for your own items, plentiful plugs/USB ports, and a highly capable mini-split AC system. Ridiculous (in a good way)! If the original Westward Ho movement had these things, Manifest Destiny would have hinged on thread-count, and we'd have never made it past Ohio. These things would be the Airstreams of the 1800s. Loved the experience. This might be the experience you needed, even if you didn't know it.

It was a trip of a lifetime and I came home a more confident rider with new friends and the best memories! I have dietary restrictions and from day 1 I was more than accommodated, shout out to Kylee who should receive a Michelin star for her cooking!! Was supposed to go this summer with a friend…read moreand my personal horse had an emergency with her left hind suspensory resulting in having to stay at a veterinarian clinic for over a week. I let them know and Dax Tomlinson said he would have accounting contact me. He never followed through, he ignored a couple phone & text messages. I had paid in full for 2 and they kept 100% of the money which was over $7000. I'm a single mom and it takes time to save up like that. Dax Tomlinson will tell you everything you want to hear to join their ride - He's unethical in his business practices as he makes promises that he will not keep or follow through with. I will NEVER RETURN OR RECOMMEND anyone going here. Dax's best method of communication is to IGNORE YOU. IDax offered ZERO REFUND and kept all $7300. The ranch is a SCAM - it's all about $. Folks who don't know how to take care of a horse, wouldn't realize how thin and skinny these horses are at the end of the season with horrible saddle sores and shoes falling off that Dax just ignores. He felt I was threatening his family. When I said I was gonna go to social media last summer and then at that point decided he was not going to refund me any money. I got an attorney and decided I'm not wasting any more money pursuing this because he also ignore the attorneys calls and letters except for one response. In that response, he said that I was more than welcome to come back this summer and go on a trip. Like I really feel welcome going back there with the way that he's treated me. Best of luck Tomlinson family. You Definitely have deceiving practices in your business plan and turning your business over to your young son was not a smart decision. Feel fortunate I didn't go after you for an Unfair Trades Practices Act claim which I could've easily done per my attorney. You're not worthy of my time or money. UPDATE - Dax Tomlinson banned me from their business page on Facebook after I posted this same review. Shows you his true blue colors and lack of moral integrity.
