Delicious Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass- my favorite dish and go-to when I visit
    Mary D.

Thank you Hayley, Ariana, and Yelp OC for this incredible experience! I am so glad I got to partake in this lovely event and got to meet some cool fellow Yelpers! The hospitality at Spaghettini was awesome. Before anything even started, we were all gifted "Spaghettini At Home" cookbooks filled with various cocktail, food, and dessert recipes straight from their menu (I am so excited to make the Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass by the way... mmm)! I started off with their Perfect Pear Martini, which was quite tasty. It had a nice, strong punch while still tasting of pear puree and lemon notes. It was garnished with a sage leaf. I've had most of the choices on the Spaghettini menu we were given, so I knew exactly what I wanted for the night :) Next, I got the Calamari, Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass, and the Chocolate Cake for dessert. The calamari wasn't the best as I prefer the batter to be slightly less thick, but the sauces were on point. They gave us some aioli and cocktail sauce to dip in. My favorite dish was the Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass. Once you get past the crust of parmesan, you are left with thick pieces of melt-in-your-mouth buttery Chilean sea bass, a perfect pairing with the mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies. Everyone at our table ordered this dish... and they all appeared pleased. During our meal, we were also treated to a captivating performance by the DW3 band. The trio meshed well together and they had some amazing vocals! They usually perform for Spaghettini's Sunday Brunch and on Thursday nights, and I've always wanted to see what they were about. Their music had an R&B, old school funk, and jazzy feel and I loved it! I recognized a lot of their hits. For dessert, the chocolate cake was a nice ending to the meal. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice bittersweet taste... which reflected my feelings on the night. I did not want the night to end!

An evening of fine dining & vibrant music Lucky Elites were given the opportunity to experience dinner & live music, courtesy of Spaghettini in Seal Beach. We had our choice of- Cocktail- Barrel Aged Old Fashioned, Sitting Pretty Martini, Perfect Pear Martini, or Pineapple Habanero Margarita. An Old Fashioned is my usual go-to, so I was debating whether to differentiate and choose one of the martinis. After some thought, I capitulated and went for the tried & true Old Fashioned. Spaghettini's was cold & stiff, making me feel groovy the whole night. Appetizer- Calamari, Tomato Bruschetta, Wedge Salad. Calamari was my pick, and it was good. The slices were a bit on the small side, but tasted good, dipped in either of the two accompanying bowls of sauce. Had the chance to try the Tomato Bruschetta, and that was really good. Bright & crisp, I should've ordered that, over the Calamari. Entree- Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass, Short Ribs, Wild Mushroom & Chicken Penne, or Tagliatelle al Funghi. I've had & enjoyed the Short Ribs during one of my previous visits to Spaghettini, so what better way to try the Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass, then for free at this event. Plus, it's the most expensive entree of the four. The Parmesan Crusted Sea Bass had a creamy, crusty, salty crust of parmesan cheese, on top of fork tender Chilean sea bass. I immensely enjoyed the fish, served over mashed potatoes & vegetables. Dessert- Meyer Lemon Cheesecake, or Chocolate Cake. I went with the cheesecake, and found it wonderful. A great way to cap the night off, the cheesecake was silky smooth, and the dehydrated lemon slice provided contrast to a delectable dessert treat. Schwag consisted of Yelp candles & matchbox. Spaghettini generously provided everyone their hardcover cookbook. I know I'll be attempting these recipes at home, soon. Gratitude to Hayley & the staff at Spaghettini. Fun times were had, and we Elites were spoiled with great food, fantastic entertainment, & friendly hospitality. It was great seeing a few familiar faces, and many new ones who were strangers to start the night, now Yelp friends at the end. One of the best events I've attended during my 16 years of being Elite.

Amazing yelp event! I was impressed with the service, cuisine, and ambiance. Truly memorable. The band was unexpected-- I loved the live music! Our yelp memorabilia and book from spaghettini was greatly appreciated as well. Thank you so much! (80/100)

Super fun OC event! Thanks so much to Yelp ‐ Hayley, Ari and the entire Spaghettini staff, especially our server who is also the private events manager, Angelina -- she was amazing, making sure us yelp eliters were well taken care of!! So sweet of her and very accommodating! The 3 course dinner was all pretty delicious! I chose the calamari (delectable sauces, crispy perfection), parmesan crusted chilean sea bass (tender, melt in your mouth, juicy fish with tasty veggies & buttery mashed potatoes!), and the limoncello cheesecake (good but lemon essence was kind of lacking or very subtle). I was just a little bummed my fish was smaller than others, and I think mine lacked the citrus butter sauce unfortunately.....but I was still super grateful to have this opportunity to taste otherwise yummy food! The breads came out warm with butter. I think I liked the white bread more than the brown bread. I also got 2 mocktails -- a passionfruit one they whipped up just for us (my fav!) and a watermelon fizzy! The co-owner went around our tables, talking to us! She is also very nice! DW3 is the cool band, playing jazzy r&b jams! Loved them! The perfect gift of the night: they gave us special cookbooks with recipes which also shared their restaurant & team's history! Super cool! Just a couple of other things that were slightly amiss, like the very loud background stereo music on top of the live band. It was already loud in there, so it was super hard to hear everyone. And the parking was a bit difficult...not much spots available directly in front of the restaurant. I even got there early. Only other options were to valet for $12 or to park across the street at the Ranch. I was afraid the gate might close at the Ranch parking lot but was told they don't. Wish there was more clarification on that since I sort of worried about parking. Overall, I really enjoyed my first OC yelp elite event!! This is definitely one of my top favorite events!

This was my first yelp elite event & I had such an amazing time!!!! The hosts were so welcoming and so were the people I was seated with. Everyone was so kind & friendly :) The food selection was amazing, service was sooo attentive and sweet and on top of that there was an amazing live band playing for r&b night. I absolutely would do this again!

Such an awesome event- dinner and a show! 3 course meal with a cocktail. I chose the pineapple habanero margarita (forgot to snap a pic) Calamari Sea Bass Meyer Lemon Cheesecake First time trying this place and it did not disappoint! The staff took care of the full group and were very welcoming! We got an awesome cookbook with drinks and cocktails to make from the restaurant. The band was great and entertaining! Also, shout out to our table- we had some cool people to chat with the whole night- hope to see them again at another event. Thanks so much OC yelp and Hayley!

Incredible first Yelp Elite event in California! The night was full of pleasant surprises. Haley and Ari planned every detail with care. A night of great food and smooth tunes. From the moment you walk up, Spaghettini feels magical. The twinkling lights, lush greenery climbing the brick arches, and a warm autumn touch with pumpkins and cozy outdoor heaters welcoming you in. Even if you have to wait for a table, you will have a pleasant experience enjoying their outdoor space. Inside, the energy shifts from elegant dining to lively entertainment. I enjoyed the tomato bruschetta appetizer, Chilean Seabass, sitting pretty cocktail, and the chocolate ganache cake. The tomatoes were perfectly marinated. The Parmesan crust on the seabass with the citrus provided a salty and bright balance. The delectable ganache was rich but an excuse to take home and enjoy a sweet treat later. DW3 was the band of the night. They brought smooth tunes to keep us dancing all night. Can't wait to visit again!

Dinner and a show OC style! Shout out to Hayley, Spaghetti and the Yelp team for putting on such a great event to show case another wonderful restaurant in OC. The late staff were so kind and attentive. The vibe was definitely there with a live performance from a very talented band called DW3. I selected the wedge salad the Seabass and the chocolate cake and all of the flavors were so delicious not to mention the perfect pair Martini that added the perfect touch to an amazing meal. The manager, I believe was so kind to give all of us yelper's a spaghettini cookbook with all of their delicious recipes in it. I'm so grateful I got to participate in this event that was full of so much positive energy, good food, and great yelp friends.

Thank you so much, Yelp OC and Hayley!! What a fun night! Delicious food, great company, and amazing entertainment! I ordered the calamari for apps, the parmesan crusted sea bass for my entree, the pear martini, and lemon cheesecake for dessert. First off, that sea bass was expertly prepared. It was so soft and flaky it reminded me of crab almost. That dish was superb! It was served atop of the smoothest and most flavorful mashed potatoes.. omg The calamari was very good as well. I prefer my calamari to be a little meatier but that's just me. It was a great app choice. I was pleased with the pear martini. It was sweet and strong just like I like it. lol aka dangerous drinks. And last but not least- the lemon cheesecake. I should stay far away from this bc I shouldn't be having dairy at all, but omg, this was so light and yummy. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn't so full. It was such a fun experience and great night. We got to take home some Yelp goodies too! The Spaghettini cookbook was an unexpected bonus and so nice to have on hand. Love the candles and matches too. So cute and the scent is perfectly fresh and light. The band was amazing!! We sang, danced a little and just vibed the whole night. Loved the ladies at my table! Thanks so much again, Yelp OC, Spaghettini and Hayley for a memorable night and fun experience!

My, oh my, how do I begin. I always sauntered pass by this place on Seal Beach on my way back and forth on Seal Beach on the way to Los Alamitos when I was a kid from Huntington Beach. "This place must be for the wealthy" I thought. Who would've thought, that years later, I got my wish in the form of a Yelp Elite Event. I got a gratuitous RSVP from the Manager Hayley with the intern Ari and Allison. "Boy, this must be my lucky day!" I said to myself. Sauntering over at 6pm sharp, I elected to be seated at two of the YELP greatest to ever live -- one of which was Cat N., the other being Kent. Both of them have over 10+ years of Yelp Elite status (black level). In my past 5 years of being a Yelp Elite, I never thought I could meet my IDOLS. I finally got a chance to sit and dine with them -- a great honor if I can say so myself. On location, a band performed on stage, and we were served three dishes and a drink. Before we could choose our dishes, the owners came out to give us each a unique cookbook celebrating the years at Spaghettini. Wow, they're so generous. Sad to say, my experience of the culinary delights never reached the same level of anticipation. I elected to choose the Tomato Bruschetta, Short Rib, and Lemoncello Cheesecake. I also ordered an old fashioned drink. The old-fashioned drink was so good, I ordered a second one. The band was playing music but I guess it was catered towards the older generation as the only song I recognized was Frank Sinatra's "Fly Me to theMoon." Speaking of which, the music was pretty loud so it was difficult to hold a conversation with my fellow new friends that I have made. I guess I am an extrovert and love meeting new people. I told Ari and Hayley I thought this was going to be MAGIC SHOW or something like Medieval Times with a dinner and a show due to way it was explained. It was silly of me. The Tomato Bruschetta came out with whole cherry tomato pieces, I thought it would be crushed and on top of the oven baked baguette. I was disappointed as it was okay. The short rib was a disappointing dish as it was extremely high in sodium (possibly give me Hypernatremia in my bloodstream if I kept eating). I tried 3 bites but unfortunately, it was rendered inedible due to the high amount of sodium. It was also dry and tasted like the Sahara desert as you eagerly search for an oasis amidst the expansive restaurant. (I was able to taste the penne chicken from Kent and that one was 5/5 help stars. Grudgingly, I should've ordered that because I am in a Pasta place with the name 'Spaghetinni') Thankfully, the oasis came in the form of a lemoncello cheesecake, which was good as it was not too sweet. It was not the best cheesecake I ever had, but it was better than the first two items I ordered. I shared my thoughts with the fellow yelpers around me and they concurred. I had bites of calamari and the chocolate cheesecake from Cat. N. and those were delicious. Overall, I felt like this place needed a dance floor and a disco ball. The crowd was into it, so maybe it was just me with these thoughts. I was able to exchange my chicken penne instead of the salty short ribs so they have great customer service. In terms of the atmosphere, I enjoyed connecting with old and new friends as I had a great talk with Ari (I will watch demon hunters-- thanks for the recommendation ari!) , and then Hayley towards the end of night -- even meeting my former student 10-15 years ago, Allison as an intern! I think I enjoyed that the most! Our table had 4 Huntington Beach Residents living within a block of each other so that was pretty rare!

Thank you Yelp OC and Hayley for a delicious dinner tonight. I ordered the fried calamari, sea bass and chocolate cake. Every thing was well prepared and delicious. It was nice to meet other fellow yelpers tonight.

This event was so much fun! It doesn't get much better than a dinner and a show especially when both things are top notch. First of all the restaurant itself is nice it has a very nice atmosphere and the service was great which is saying something since it was a large event for them. The food was so tasty I got the calamari for an appetizer and the crunch on the calamari was next level I throughly enjoyed those. The catfish was cooked perfectly and of course the cheesecake was on point. The show was great I was able to be seated pretty up and center with the band and I couldn't help but bop my head you could really feel them bring up the energy in the restaurant. Overall everything was great no complaints on anything and most importantly had a lot of fun! Thanks Spaghettini and Hailey for making this awesome event happen!

WOW! Hayley hosted a once again AMAZING event. Let's start with the atmosphere. Spaghetti is known for its live music and is a popular space in Orange County. Upon entering, we were greeted and shown to our table which was located off to the right of the stage. At 7, the music began which was a well known R&B group. They played a variety of songs and eras. Let's move on to the food. We were given be choice of an appetizer, I happened to choose the bruschetta. The bruschetta was AMAZING! A combination of basalmic, olive oil, goat cheese and tomatoes with some toasted bread. I ordered the short ribs. At first, I was a little hesitant because of the corn orzo. However, the short ribs were super tender and the orzo was DELICIOUS. The one thing that threw me off about the short ribs was the fresh horse radish. For dessert I got a lemon cheesecake and WOW. It was a combination of tart and sweet and perfection. This event was definitely a great time, with great company, and great food! I can't wait to come back to spaghettini

We had an pleasant experience and so glad we came during the Happy Hour times - less hectic and loud. Our server, Jennifer was personable and courteous. All the staff were very professional and attentive. I appreciated they sat us at a booth seating for 4 vs a table for 2 (otherwise all our orders wouldn't' have fit on there) We absolutely enjoyed the Spicy Miso Carbonara + the Yuzu Peach Refresher. The udon was chewy, sauce was savory but the pasta was spicier than I had expected. This pasta dish is a little heavy - so I say it's best to share. I do wish they had given a bit more protein though. But overall a dish worth trying. The Yuzu refresher was a nice surprise - very palatable. We also ordered the Beef Carpaccio, HH - Pepperoni Pizza and HH - Veal Bolognese. The happy prices on those were so worth getting! As for the pizza - the flavors were on point and well balanced but could use a bit more pepperoni. The Veal Bolognese was scrumptious that we ordered another! We also went a little crazy and ordered three other entrees: seafood poke pizza (sounds wild but the fusion was unexpectedly satisfying..) and seafood mafaldine (so much crab meat and seafood!) and the burrata caprese. *** Chocolate Fest was not the best ... ;( ***…read more But we had a good time, I must confess. The sun was out, even a rainbow appeared. It's just too bad, better chocolates weren't here. My lil son was excited, trembling with glee. He bit the first cake then looked sadly at me. So we moved on to search for lil dark delights 'til we stumbled upon pookies ... gooey, alright! The pookies were good, but really just a tease. Son wanted more ... this was a fest, you see? So we continued along Second looking for more. Blindly seek'n chocolates ... going door to door. Finally we saw Andrea & Erin; oh, what a sight. They bought us some crepes without any fight. We avoided that line. Devoured these crepes. They were strawberry filled, chocolatey draped. Son quiped "more". I said "you gotta be kid'n"? So we scampered along for somethin' mo' fit'n. Soon we reached La Strada, an Italiano café. Mousse filled with gelato really made my day. I ate this with pleasure; I was happy as can be. My lil brat said "oh nooo ... none of that for me"! So to Jamba Juice we went, where he gotta smoothie. I gulped a wheatgrass shot; hmm, that's kinda groovy. After a day of this fest, kid had to getta juice to smile? That tells me that this fest must improve after 'while. ;( *** For 2011: quality and organization must be better. ***

My girlfriend, lil bro, and I went here earlier and it was packed. There are a lot of people since…read moreit's also Saturday. We went to the front of Chase so we can get our $10 for 12 tickets, which it is a pretty sweet deal. We tried the Chocolate covered Rice Krispy from Legend's Sport Bar and it was good. One of the items I remembered cause it's gooey, crispy, marshmallowy, chocolatey goodness. We walked next block towards PCH and tried chocolate covered items such as oreos at Peet's Coffee with a complimentary brewed coffee. The chocolate covered oreos are delicious as well. Then we went to Taco Surf and they served Chocolate Tamales and is my favorite of all this festival's item. Taste like tamale, but in a deep chocolatey flavor.. Super gooood and can't say no more :) Moving on, next stops are Cheese Addiction's cheese brownies and Brix in the Shore's Bacon Chocolate Bread Pudding. The cheese brownies are ok and the Bacon Chocolate Bread Pudding is the bomb! It is quite unique.. Mixing chocolate and bacon together is an excellent idea. Salt and sweet together almost always are the better pairing. Then we went to Roe Express, they serve chocolate bars; their popular one is the Macha Green Tea chocolate.. Unique and melt in your mouth sweetness! Next we went to Shannon's for the chocolate martini, but costumer service sucks and they are lazy to serve us cause the reason is they're busy, which is not an excuse if you signed up to serve in this Chocolate Festival. That was a dissapointment, but moving on.. Lastly, we went to Frosted Cupcakes and guess what they serve chocolate cupcakes and this time is for cheaps. 1 ticket per cupcake is a really good deal, so we decided to spend our last tickets in it. Each of us ordered 3 cupcakes and 9 overall. Too bad, we didn't get to try the Urban Table's chocolate menu, however we had fun trying each and every restaurant's chocolate samplers. I was going to give it a 5 star, but Shannon's costumer service mess it up for us. PS: Hopefully, next year they'll make at least until 6pm so we can try more
