WOW! What a lovely day from beginning to end. From the drive to the pampering, I have so many wonderful things to share. A great big thank you to Uber Brisbane for getting us safely up and down Clear Mountain. This was my first time using the Uber app and boy was I excited when it told me that a driver had been found and en route to pick me up. When the driver has been 'hired' his photo, name, and rating will pop up. It will then allow for you to contact him via call or message among other things. My driver was Glen and he got out of his car to greet me and opened my door before heading to pick up my friend around the corner. He was so friendly and we had a great chat about Uber, university degrees, and the spa! We had a great experience with Glen to say the least. Just as the other ladies said, we were greeted SO warmly by THE Stephanie of Stephanies Spas and her passionate staff. We had welcome champagne and the viewed was just incredible. I loved seeing the Glasshouse Mountains and Samsonvale Lake. It's nearly 360 but I didn't see the other half (guess I will have to go back). We were given tours of the facilities which include six different treatment rooms that include a triple treatment room, bordeaux VIP lounge and bath suite, steam therapy lounge, hydro swiss shower room and a sole therapy and manicure lounge. They shared with us the different packages, rewards card, and all the birthday specials coming up as Stephanies is celebrating 20 years in the business! After all the tours, we were invited to change into robes and get ready for our treatments. We could either have a back and scalp massage or a foot and scalp massage. While we were waiting, we were offered more champagne withs strawberries, tea, orange juice, and some sweets. Naturally, we all started chatting and it was a super informative conversation sharing our favorite places, telling Stephanie all about Yelp (she wants to be a Yelper too), and debates over over-rated places! Lani also gave us some Jax CoCo for hydrating purposes while we waited. My treatment of a back and scalp massage was pretty nice and I only wish it had been longer! They have a brief consultation with you prior to your treatment and ask you questions in case you'd like to focus on one area. I like how the rooms were set-up with dim lighting and music to create a peaceful ambience. After everyone finished with their treatments, Stephanie gathered us together to thank us for coming and gave us all gift bags to take home with us! All of us were so excited to learn that we had anti-wrinkle creams we could test out. The day flew by but I was able to take my mind off everything on my to do list for a few hours and enjoy the present. Thank you SO much to Lani for all her hard work! Who can say no to an afternoon of pampering with a group of wonderful women? I anticipated the day with longing for a few hours of pampering and a mini getaway but little did I know that the location would be so spectacular and the whole event would be such an awesome afternoon. We chose to drive ourselves up the mountain and were glad that we had a few minutes spare before the event started to check out the stunning views. Really the location of this spa and property is an awesome spot to have a weekend getaway feeling like you are a world away from home but less than 30 minutes drive in reality. Add to that Stephanie's Spa at Clear Mountain lodge is a little spot of heaven in a beautiful location. Stephanie herself and her crew of amazing therapists went out of their way to host us and the care and passion that they all have for their business is evident in everything that they do. The vouchers, the gift bag, the glasses of champagne.... they really did turn it on for us and value the contribution that we as yelpers can make to their business. I also loved our hydration courtesy of a very cool and funky bottle of Jax CoCo water. A nice refresher before having to drive back down the mountain. It was sad to leave when the evening came to a close, but both Becca and I declared we'll be back to Stephanie's at least twice in the coming months and I think there may be a change of location for the impending wedding as a part of this wonderful day. Who could resist such a stunning location? Once again Lani you have outdone yourself in planning a stunning event. It was wonderful to get to know some of my fellow elite yelpers a little bit more with such an interactive and chilled out environment. Each time I join in with these group activities I thank my friend for getting me involved and struggle to remember life in a pre-yelp state. I'm so much more engaged with what is going on around me in our town and meeting new people who have similar interests and I love it. If, as an Elite Yelper, you thought we were spoiled by Lani with exclusive access to restaurant kitchens to learn the art of gnocchi or the canapé, preview screenings of plays at QPAC, or any of the countless other superb events she has organised for us, you may find it hard to believe that she has truly OUTDONE HERSELF with this Yelp Ladies' Day Out for May's Elite Event: #yelpspa. Lani, together with THE STEPHANIE of Stephanie's Day Spa, organised for us to have 3 hours of pampering and awe in the surrounds of Clear Mountain. They generously sent us on our way after all was said & done with incentives to return for more pampering, as well as a spa product goodie bag. We were greeted on arrival and whisked out the balcony to soak in the view out to Moreton Bay, up to the Glasshouse Mountains and down to the city...all with glass of bubbles in hand. Stephanie personally took us on a tour of her beautifully appointed mountain retreat and shared with us her bubbly personality, vision in creating the space and joy in what she does. You could clearly see that every detail of the space had been carefully considered for maximum effect. I was especially impressed with the Steam Room, as well as Couple's suite with the huge stone bath (that had to be lifted in by crane). After our tour, we were treated to more bubbles and chance to chat gaily amongst ourselves, before being invited to enrobe and relax with our choice of treatment. I chose the foot, hand & scalp massage in the specially appointed Pedicure Lounge and hit that state of bliss almost immediately. My therapist was Storm, who was quite a good masseuse. She was attentive -even to the point of throwing in an ear massage to end my treatment, which was something I shared with her I'd enjoyed in China. I think I'd return just to have a longer massage with her. I'm always pleased to meet soul-prenuer, which is truly who Stephanie is. I will happily return to her establishments for pampering and wish her the best of luck in any fortuitous opportunities that come her way in the future. And, Lani, THANK YOU. It definitely is neat to be elite and this event is testament to it! The ladies that have written reviews prior to me have definitely hit the nail on the head, Lani definitely outdid herself by getting three stellar companies on board to create a great destination that we may not have thought about uncovering ourselves as it does fall just a little lower on our usual urban lifestyle radar. Firstly, we were treated to our own personal taxi service up and down the mountain with the new kids on the block at Uber really showing us how easy it is to get around with them by booking the service on your smart phone - It really is so easy and I love that it's cashless and getting a receipt for the ride is quickly delivered in your inbox if you need to claim on tax or for work purposes etc. We were also treated to a delightful and trendy beverage from Jax CoCo (coconut water, my fave!) I definitely will be considering this upon purchasing my next coconut water hit - the taste and the bottle really sold me here. I must say though the real star of the show is the Stephanies Luxury Day Spa at Clear Mountain. As it's situated in one of the most beautiful and panoramic nook of outer Brisbane within a the Mercure Resort - my brain instantly went into planning mode of my return. I was thinking hens weekends, Mummy Daughter Days, Ladies weekend, Couples Retreat... hey I'd even recommend to any of my friends to get married up there too and have to complete wedding experience with Spa Treatments and serenity. It really was a treat to have THE Stephanie from the Spas of her name sake, it was great to hear her vision and her passion for the business - she has also definitely hired staff that also reflect this personality too and makes for such a pleasant time within her well planned and amazing complex. I felt completely pampered after firstly being greater with champagne, and THAT view, plus being given a full tour of the facilities which are many, varied and definitely all Top Notch quality. After popping on my fluffy bathrobe ready for my spa experience to beginning, I enjoyed chilling out in the ladies chat room with more champagne and delicious biscuits before being summoned upstairs into one of the private treatment rooms where I received one of the best back and scalp massages (although shorter than normal) that I have ever received. The german style massage table was great too being larger than normal and having inbuilt heating! Amazing. This was all topped off with a charming goody bag of further incentives to come back including a great Thalgo moisturising kit. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone and I will most definitely be spreading the word to get people to try - can't wait for the next elite event - this one will be hard to top though however. read more

What a great surprise! I knew it's going to be good but I didn't imagine how amazing the place is set up and the view of being on top of the mountain. All of the Yelp events are great but this is by far the best one yet I've been to. I felt so relax and peaceful just being there. All the staff were so friendly and full of live, they made us feel so special. I really appreciate the owners, Stephanie and her husband, were there to introduced us and make sure our visit was joyful and comfort. Lani is one amazing lady! Being able to organized this tour and made sure we had a great time. Not to mention, she's also making sure we have transportation, thanks to Uber Brisbane, and all us get home safe. Tara has summed it up perfectly and I don't think I can add too much more but today we were truly spoiled. That is the best way to describe the afternoon. I didn't really know what to expect and to be honest, I thought we might just get a manicure or pedicure and be sent on our way, but boy oh boy did Stephanie's Day Spa outdo itself and my expectations! After a beautiful scenic drive up Clear Mountain we reached the lodge to be greeted by Stephanie herself and some of her beautiful staff. We were then invited to champagne and a beautiful view over the mountains before embarking on an afternoon of pure bliss. We were given a personal tour of every room and facility, getting a true idea of Stephanie (and her husbands) vision for their business and their clients. I distinctly remember her saying with great enthusiasm, "it's all about the EXPERIENCE. We want you to escape to another land and enjoy relaxing for as long as you can." All of the staff are truly passionate about what they do and giving the customers the best service possible. What I thought might be a quick manicure, turned into a back and scalp massage accompanied by great company, nibblies and more champers! On top of all of this, I won a free lunch and was given a free goodie bag (like everyone) with lots of vouchers and information about the Day Spa. The deals are fabulous (already planning my next visit) and I'll no doubt be back with family and friends as soon as possible! It is indeed the perfect escape from the busyness of life and I highly recommend checking it out. Clear Mountain is a beautiful location however, if it's too out of the way, they have other locations including the CBD, Bulimba and Noosa. It's well worth checking out. You can't regret it and with service like that, you will not walk away disappointed! read more
