Thanks Drybar and Annette for such an awesome perk ($45 value!) I've seen many a Drybar locations as it was founded/is based in California (where I'm from), but I've never had a blow out before! After a fantastic visit today, I can see why there's a cult following. Thanks to Erin for making me feel so glam & Sabrina for being so welcoming! The standard blow out itself includes wash & styling. You can also get just dry styling done for about half the cost. I opted for the blow out and the THE COSMO-TAI style, which is between loose curls & beach hair. I like that Erin explained exactly what she was using in my hair: *Charcoal Shampoo (Activated charcoal removes impurities and product buildup without stripping or drying out hair.) *Jump Start (Silky, silicone-free styling serum reduces blowout time and protects hair from heat (up to 450°F/232°C) for a smooth, long-lasting, frizz-free finish.) *Triple Sec (Airy dry finishing spray provides instant texture, volume and body for a tousled, sexy look.) *Money Maker Hair Spray (Shake your money maker! This flexible-hold formula provides soft, movable hold with easy brushability that is never stiff or sticky.) All in all, it took about an hour but I do have really long hair & I'm sure some styles take less time than others. The last time I felt this glam was getting my hair did for my wedding! But, I love how easy Drybar makes it! Thank you, Ann Arbor Drybar! What an amazing experience! Love the location with easy peasy parking. When I entered the salon, it was super clean and so cheerful! Smiling faces and awesome chandeliers made out of hairdryers made me smile. I was greeted immediately and offered a drink including mimosas! Yes, please! My stylist was Erin. She was awesome! She let me know throughout the process what she was washing my hair with (charcoal shampoo) and all the products specific to my hair type. I went with the Cosmo-tai. Little bit of beachiness and a little bit of curls with a ton of volume! Hello, hair for days! Loved, loved, loved, loved my experience! All the ladies at the Drybar were wonderful! My friend loves Drybar and has gone several times to the Birmingham location, so when given the opportunity to try the closer Ann Arbor location I didn't hesitate. The experience was incredible from the moment I walked in and was greeted by name. The hostess took my coat and offered me a drink. I choose a Mimosa which was mixed just right and kinda made me feel like an elite. My stylist was right on time and she helped me look through their book to find a style. We proceeded to the wash room where she washed and conditioned my hair, which was more like a head massage!! So relaxing. Even the chairs, position of the head/neck and the foot stool were so well thought out. I kept thinking about how much more comfortable my neck was compared to when I visit my hairdresser. Hats off to whomever designed the chairs both in the wash room and stylist area. My hair is pretty thick and curly so it took awhile to blow dry but I enjoyed every minute of it. My stylist added in products and told me what each one was for. After the blow dry, she gently used a straightener. After she finished, my hair looked and felt amazing. This was my first time ever getting a blowout at Drybar much less at the newly opened A2 location! I didn't know that Drybar has timeslots as early as 7 AM, which is so convenient if you want your hair to look good before work. I work a non-regular business hour schedule, so I booked my appointment at 9:30 AM. I was the only customer there for the majority of my appointment, so I enjoyed the peace and quiet as my stylist washed and massaged my scalp while sipping on my complimentary mimosa. They also have complimentary water, sparkling water, tea, and coffee! I decided to get an Uptini with waves in my hair since that's the opposite of what I normally do to my hair, wear it down and straight. I have curly hair, like a Jew-Fro to the extreme, and while I have owned that and worn it curly for years, ai was really excited to get to try out the whole fancy schmancy blow out experience. I had a blast! It was very swanky, with them offering water, coffee, tea, or a mimosa when I came in, and my requested Earl Grey with honey was ready when I got to my station. I checked out their look book; who knew there were so many options! I opted for the Old Fashion, vintage style. Asha was my stylist and she was so fun and friendly throughout the whole process, checking in with me at every step about what products were or to use or not, and how I felt. Place: I was like wow.. this place is super aesthetically pleasing. It was super chic and I really enjoyed the whole vibe. I went with my roommate and it was just a cute roommate self care date! Service/price: The price is pretty worth for the package deal that you can get. They wash your hair and I got a nice scrub/massage. Additionally they offer certain drinks like tea or even mimosa.The staff is super friendly as they turn on the top ten iconic movies like The Devil Wears Prada. You can watch that while they give you a blowout and after they are all done they spin the chair over to the mirror side and reveal the look. I went to Drybar in Birmingham once and I loved it so much that I had to go to this event! Their new location in Ann Arbor is located in a cute shopping center and everything looks so new and nice. Upon arrival I checked in at the front and she offered me a drink, a nice glass of champagne for me to sip on while I got pampered! I was then introduced to my stylist, Erin, and I picked out what hairstyle I wanted. I ended up going with the cosmo-tai. Next we went to get my hair washed and at the end she put it in the perfect bun that was wrapped with a towel. We went back to the station and she went to working on my hair. Usually when I blow dry my own hair it comes out looking like a huge mess, I have very curly, frizzy hair. I am always so amazed how they get it to look so nice. My stylist was absolutely wonderful and did an amazing job on my hair. I didn't have to wash my hair for 3 days after this so I definitely got my use out of it! I can't wait to go back! read more

I have heard of Drybar but have never been to one. When I saw I could attend the elite event, I quickly submitted my name. Setting up the appointments was very easy. The entire experience was 5 star! From walking in,I knew I was going to look glamorous! I was offered a beverage and onto my service. I selected the Cosmo look. It is a bunch of loose curls. It was such a fun experience. Simply amazing!! Amanda (stylist) did a fantastic job washing and blowing out my hair. Her and Sabrina (hostess/front desk) were both super friendly and welcoming. They made sure I had anything and everything to make me comfortable. From the options of water, tea, wine, champagne, mimosas...to the "look book", the experience was flawless. I love the fact that there is a book that you pick a basic style from and then your stylist does it so it works with your hair. From talking about product and hair texture to having my blowout revealed in the big mirror, the whole experience was fabulous. Being that I'm not super creative and am terrible at styling my own hair, this was a super fun opportunity and I felt totally pampered and beautiful when I left. My hair smells amazing and I love the feel so much that I ended up getting some products to try at home. The esthetic of the shop and the way they have music, a chick flick, and videos about their tools and products going is really interesting and cool. The fact that they even offer travel size products and tools is a huge draw as well considering many of us travel frequently and have finicky hair. I love my blowout. Love. It. I'm so glad that we got a chance to do this Elite event! I've always wanted to go to a Drybar but didn't think there was one close enough. I love the fact that one opened up in Ann Arbor that's only 8 minutes away from my work! I was really shocked that they did the entire service complimentary and even offered champagne. I ended up doing the old fashioned style and I loved the big curls. It felt nice to be pampered and surprisingly didn't take that long. I like that the products they used made my hair blonder and soft. They also showed me what products they used! I'd like to go back and try some of the other styles they have. I'd consider their membership as well once all of this COVID-19 chaos is over. read more

Thank you Drybar A2 for this awesome event! During such a crazy time, it was nice to sit back, relax and be pampered!! When checking in I was offered my choice of beverage and I chose rosé! I was quickly placed with a stylist who ironically was also named Lauren! She was super sweet and helped me with picking a style. I got the cosmo-tai style and it came out great! Woohoo! I'm now hooked on getting my hair done! Drybar was so super generous to offer us blowouts for Elite week. I was a little nervous this event would be cancelled or postponed with everything going on. So glad it wasn't! I checked in and was immediately offered a mimosa. Yes, please! My stylist came to fetch me promptly. She washed my hair with the most amazingly scented line of products. The shampoo and conditioner were heavenly. Once my hair was clean, I selected a Mai Thai blowout just to do something a little different. Normally, I'd get a straight, sleek look but I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone for something different. After making my choice, she got to work. I definitely have a full head of hair. It's thick and course and gnarly. She was able to blow through and tame it with very little remaining frizz. Some frizz? Yes. But what normally takes me two hours to accomplish, she was able to get done in half the time. I was so impressed and walked away feeling like a million bucks just in time to wait in in line for an hour at the store for diapers and milk.
