I had been wanting my boa boa tea fix and there aren't many good spots near me. I was so excited…read morewhen Yelp and Tou & Mai offered this special! There's a lot of different flavors to choose from with your usual base teas. I tried the Black tea Milk Cap - flan boa boa (is it still boa boa when it's flan pieces?) it had a great flavor, but I'm a texture girl and the flan pieces were a bit bigger than the boa boa of course so it took some getting used to at first but I quickly slurped it down because it was that good! My friend tried the Magonada because she loves the Mexican treats with the fruit and tamarind. She really loved it, so if you like those flavors I'd definitely suggest getting it. I didn't like it much as the tamarind had a spiciness paired with the light fruity flavor of the mango. The Hello Hello (their play on Halo Halo) was interestingly really good! It had so many flavors, textures, from ice cream to lavendar with some crunch on top and lavendar jellies inside. Super flavor bomb on your palette, wow! It was my first time trying any halo halo. I'd heard about this special dessert and had been wanting to try it. It's definitely worth getting especially for a first timer. Make sure you have someone to share it with because it's A LOT of sweetness for just one person. My friend and I couldn't even finish it (but we did both have drinks as well). I'd most definitely check out Tou & Mai again, you can mix and match any flavor combo and there's candy and trinkets around the store to stroll. It's located right next to Sy Thai so grab some food, then get your drinks and dessert from Tou & Mai and walk it off with your dog at the dog park right across the street. Perfect location!
