I made an appointment for something new but when that assistant came put to the open floor where everyone was, there wasn't any privacy and the way he handled it I felt shocked and uncomfortable. I felt he stopped me before I even started. In that case he could have had his assistant call me at home and tell me not to even come in I felt humiliated and embarrassed. Others where staring at me. I woll never back there again. He helped define what kind of specialist I need tp seek out in the future. It was bad.​

He allowed me time for physical therapy prior to the surgery as a precautionary measure, and a 2nd opinion prior to the surgery. The doctor was very patient with me regarding my post surgery recovery allowing me extra time to recover until I felt comfortable when returning to work. Staff was very helpful too. The office staff never offered an explanation at the time of check-in. A simple, "doctor is running behind." "Would you like to wait to be seen or reschedule?" would have been appropriate and grately appreciated. The waiting room chaos was related to a blatant back-fire of appointment over-booking gone bad! I don't find listening to outraged patient waiting room ranting an asset to any medical practice. When my daughter was finally seen by Dr. Botwin on 05/20/2013, he spent less than two minutes examining her ankle. He offered a weak apology stating "Sorry for the wait, but many patients have problems and I try to accomodate as many as I can." Well-- Dr. Botwin, you let the cat out of the bag when you stated "as many as I can." What about quality of care versus quantity of patients you can run through in a day?" I would suggest patient scheduling should be reviewed to avoid the chaos we experienced in the waiting room. Everyone's time is valuable and patient's should not feel rushed during the course of their medical treatment. My advice, call ahead to determine if doctor is running on time and definitely inquire what the anticipated wait time is when checking in.

Fist bumping at multiple points during the conversation, which turned into a classroom at some points. Demonstration of how soft tissue and bone heal in the body. Demonstration and explanation of how cells repair, scar tissue develops, multiple injuries on top of scar tissue healing, and the likelihood for increase injury over the age of 50 if current injuries are not treated properly to ensure that the body experiences lower chances for injury over the age of 50. Always inclusion in the treatment plan which is a team agreement. Extremely patient and friendly always. Always open to listening to the patient's perspective, disagreeing or respectfully, providing guidance as the practitioner who's the expert in the room at this point, lots of laughter always, talks about general things going on in both of our lives which always makes the experience a one-on- one, and overall super personable. This is what a practitioner is always supposed to make their patients feel like regardless of the specialty we are seeking service for. I will always keep my practitioners who I have these relationships with regardless of how far I have to drive to see them. By the way my podiatrist is always available via phone, email, and for emergency visits.
