Doc flushed the puncture, it was deep and we were afraid there might be debris in the wound, hit him with antibiotics and got us meds for after we got home, He spent a good amount of time reviewing the after care, explaining the meds and what to watch for in the wound. The advanced technology on site truly is unheard of in a small community and is testimony to how much they truly care about the health of each animal they treat. But that all changed when my girlfriend's dog got her eye damaged. This vet recommended removal of the eye this was a tough decision but we were going off the recommendation of what we believed were professionals. The day they went to take her eye we got a phone call saying we lost her on the table must of had a reaction to the anesthesia but we got her back she's up and breathing. This was a total shock. They still demanded payment. I was like this doesn't seem right we'll go talk to them and go pick up our dog. They told us it happens sometimes. Then returned her to us saying she defecated during surgery didn't clean her up well at all. Told us they could try a different anesthesia later in the week and if we had any questions we could ask. So I was asking about the anesthesia as I did some research to find what they used had a recall. I was met with excuses and a defensive response then later told they wouldn't do the surgery they didn't feel comfortable. Thank God he was looking out for us took our pup to Midtown Animal Hospital in Scottsbluff, NE where they were able to treat her and she got to keep her eye.

We took our sick cat in to be examined for apparently self-inflicted balding spots and a tummy that couldn't keep down food until it had been vomited first. These were problems that we'd done everything in our power up to then to resolve in our care and with the recommendations of other vets we'd spoken to before going to Chadron. The Vet at Chadron Veterinary Clinic was able to finally, accurately identify what was afflicting our cat and prescribed modifications to our cat's diet. Our kitty has been looking, feeling, and acting his very best ever since!
