The nurse thought it was a good idea to ask her if she had her period. My daughter has no idea what that is and for them not to ask the parents is completely ignorant and unexceptionable.2nd. They lost our payments and could not explain why. They have no management systems to handle the billing and was a horrible experience. 3rd. I was in the office trying to handle one of these problems and the lady was extremely condescending to me and completely disrespectful to two young staff members in front of me. Needless to say he lost three campers for many years to come. Don't look at as old world charm and more like ran down and horribly ran.

For a…read more30-something birthday, I decided I wanted to treat myself to a few lessons to see if I still enjoyed riding and perhaps could start again with a patient instructor. I googled pretty extensively for 'lessons for timid riders' and similar combinations of search terms and came up with Kierson... and what a treat. Beautiful farm and grounds, friendly staff, super patient instruction. The specialty here is saddleseat, something I was never able to but always wanted to try. I did two half hour private lessons with a groupon and found the whole process very easy to set up and book. Thank you Kierson for getting me riding again!

I was glad to be informed however it's freighting to get a email like that while your child is staying at a sleep away camp and you can't call them. This camp's staff lacks training in supervision and emotional development. My daughter behaved in a way that was out of character and I believe it has to do with the environment. When a classroom is out of control it's because the teacher does not have control of the classroom. They could implement more exercises related to emotional development and respect for humans. Lastly there staff... I was waiting for someone to assist me with making a payment online and I never got a call back until a month later where a staff member called me harassing me for payment and said no one was supposed to call me. She was so rude to me. I was treated disrespectfully she literally muted my voice when I asked for assistance and when I emailed the director Julie she passively said "I'm sorry there tone came off that way" and directed me to make a payment in a different format that we initially agreed on. This is a massive organization that receives billions of dollars and is well funded to assist specifically single low income households like mine. There mission statement says they help people yet they have staff that are unhelpful and treat people indecently which says a lot about there organization. They're mission statement needs to be changed to "we don't respect people we just make sure we get paid"

The weather was in the high 70's ... not too bad for us humans but the staff at LSP made sure their horses were sprayed down and wore a protective cover over their ears, eyes and head which I'm assuming is to keep them from getting burnt by the hot sun. This level of care of their horses is exactly the type of institution that I love to support. You can tell they love and understand their horses. The entire staff was engaging and a gentleman named Rodney was superb. He made our experience an amusing one with his knowledge of the horses and their personalities. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! P.S. Got the pleasure of seeing what they called the "biggest horse" at the stable. His name is Norbit and he reminded me of one of the horses you in see in Budweiser commercial. Definitely a sight to see!

Theres a fairly large parking lot right by the launching area. $10 entry per car on weekends/holidays, $5 on weekdays. Will definitely return.

Pretty nice and clean camp site! Views are great by the water and you'll see lots of fireflies at…read morenight! Book early for the lake side views, 6+ months in advance if you know you're going! Try to shower early since they run out of hot water at night if there's a lot of people camping. The water was cold by 10pm on Saturday night, could be gone earlier, my friends had hot water around 7-8pm, not sure when it runs out. I had hot water around the same time the day before when the camp site wasn't as crowded so test the water before you shower! Bathrooms are clean, the shower closer to the sink on the left side is better. You can rent kayaks there (single/double, or paddle board, pontoon and row boat were not available when I went). There's a beach/sand area nearby but water's blocked off since there's algae and not safe to swim. If you're looking for some activities to do, check out nearby farms for fruit picking during the right season (strawberry picking right now in June).

They explained to me how they run the camps and what to expect. There's just a friendly old school vibe with all the people here.
