We chose Anytime Fitness based on our great experience in Canada, where facilities were clean, well maintained, and constantly improving. Unfortunately, this location is the complete opposite and does not meet the standards we expected from Anytime Fitness.

I was also unable to cancel over the phone and was told that I would either have to travel back to Mankato and do it in person or send a letter in the mail. How is it that in 2014 I can't conduct a simple transaction over the phone? How can snail mail be the only option. They clearly just want to make canceling as difficult as possible. I will definitely not be joining any Planet Fitness locations in my new city.

You made my happiness for the week! This mornings workout was an ass kicker and I loved it. I became a bit emotional at the end...i was so proud to make it through and i feel so much stronger than where i had began.  I went to bed last night stressing about my up coming week. I want to say I'm so thankful you and Jeremy opened FXB Mankato!  You both have made it welcoming and given the gym an "at home" feel. Looking forward to this last week of the 10 week challenge. The kickboxing days are super challenging, fun, and ever-changing. You honestly never know what is coming next and the time flies by! I know I need the strength days the most and I try hard to really push myself on those days, which is a whole lot easier when you have such awesome instructors leading by example. I have already committed to another year of fitness at Farrell's eXtreme Bodyshaping and I am looking forward to each challenging and fun workout ahead!

It's a small business with a tight budget, so while the machines/equipment may not be as shiny or fancy as those you'll find in a big-name club everything is in good working order and they'll get you sweating all the same. My one disappointment is the lack of a shower/locker room, it'd be nice to make the gym a stop on the way to work instead of a separate trip before commuting, but hopefully The Pulse will keep growing and add this feature for their members.
