Facilities: aesthetically beautiful and is cleaned more frequently than any gym ( or Y) that I've been to. There's a family bathroom and changing area , women's , men's . After swim classes the facilities are always being kept up with. The women's locker rooms can be a little slippery but it doesn't help when people ring out their bathing suit on occasion in the locker area. Swim caps are mandatory in the pool even if you have a young child that isn't going to dunk under water. Bring a fabric one or the front desk sells the plastic ones ( and goggles) . Classes: As many as you would expect from any gym. In the mid afternoon usually there's less classes but there's a room upstairs that is used as a multi purpose room for stretching etc ( the same one for classes) opens up. Spinning on the first floor . In the summer some classes fill up so you need to sign up. Free weights , cardio , machines( upstairs) : a great selection of all the above. A few cable weights, smith machine, stair climber and all the cardio machines you could ever want. The area is also well maintained by vacuuming . A wall of cubbies for storing items instead of the lockers downstairs. ( Yes, there's an elevator). Plenty of personal trainers. Childcare: during the winter there's child watch on certain days for kids under the kindergarten age . There's a after school program and they offer school vacation and early closing from school care. Summer camp fills up incredibly fast as do all the camps. Swim lessons for sign up. Aquila - cafe on the 1st floor with snacks ( high protein options), smoothies , coffee etc . They sell cakes ( make to order) , pies around the holidays. Parking: in the front and right . Have you tried the new cafe at the Y? Aquila is in that spot now ~ they are amazing ! Coffee, smoothies, latte's & espresso drinks, açaí bowls, oatmeal bowls, fresh homemade bagels... fresh pressed juices, healthy snacks... the list goes on! They are so easy to get to during the day for a healthy pick-me-up ~ they also offer Uber Eats delivery. My favorite smoothie is the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the loaded Oatmeal Bowl with drizzled peanut butter is outstanding!! Definitely consider popping in and giving them a try! Aquila is an extension of the coffee shop/gift shop also located on the Aquinnah Cliffs!! Great locally roasted coffee at both locations!! read more

Modern and clean facility easily accessible down island. It was only 3.4 miles from our rental (OB) so some of us were able to run to it. This place is located to left of Ice Arena. It has Alex Teen Center (we haven't explored it yet as its closed Sunday's and Monday's). Downstairs is the roomy lobby/reception slightly to the left as you enter. To the right are casual seating area with complimentary Wi-Fi as well as a quaint little cafe that offered a variety of breakfast and lunch items (baked goods, wraps, sandwiches, protein smoothies, coffee/tea, etc). The seating area is right in front of the glass enclosed Aqua Center where you can view individuals swimming laps as well as different classes being conducted. The Aqua Center consists of six lap lanes in addition to a recreational swim area for younger children. It also has a spiral slide but it has not been open while we've been there. They have spare swim caps, goggles, and towels if you forget yours. Up the stairs to your left and in front you will find the exercise equipment area with one studio room tucked behind the free weight area for classes. I did not participate in any of them so cannot comment. The treadmills overlook the pool so it was nice and open. Equipment are clean and updated. Staff avail for questions and you can see several trainers with clients strewn throughout. Customers seem respectful of each other's personal space even thought it is always busy (we've been going anywhere between 7:30a-9:30a. Plenty of room in both men and women's locker rooms. They even had a Family Locker Room which is a great idea (I did not personally go in). For our family of five (2 adults, 3 children 18&under) it cost $125 which I thought was fantastic price as you can easily run $20pp drop-in rate. Overall: great value, great facility, great amenities and staff. Def double thumbs recommend. read more

If you are visiting Martha's Vineyard, and you are member of YMCA. You should go because It's great place get your workout on. Just make sure you get there early because the gym Facilities are really small. read more

I was so happy when the Y opened back up after being closed all summer! The staff is so nice and I really enjoy my time there. They follow strict covid guidelines and I never felt uncomfortable or like covid wasn't being taken seriously. They have staff that keeps the place immaculate and all the patrons that go there do their part and wear masks. A couple of the lifeguards are completely rude and one of them made my friend and I completely uncomfortable because we were in the lap lane and took a break from laps. Then she even smirked at us afterwards as we were leaving. Would never go back here again. Completely unwelcoming. read more

The facility is beautiful. However the exercise room was filthy. Used it for two weeks straight and it was never swept. Horrible to have your face next to the floor in yoga in all the dirt s d hair. The stairs were personally hand mopped every day almost. read more

Excellent gym. We have been coming here since May of 2016 and couldn't be happier. They have awesome equipment and a great variety of classes everyday, even in the offseason. The staff are awesome and couldn't be a nicer group of people. read more

I love the Y.. best work out spot on the island, and if you can get in with personal trainer Brad Hill, you need to! He is the best trainer on the island and probably the world! The Y has everything you need to get a good workout.. a must try when on the island read more
