They have mats, blocks, and blankets, so if you are traveling and forget to bring something they are able to provide it. Most of their classes are vinyasa which I love. They can be challenging but nothing outrageous. The schedule is a bit limited though. Pretty much only a few morning classes a day. And the studio is very small. If you are intimidated by hot classes I think this would be a good place to start because while it is hot they have a fan which provides some breeze. Definitely go check it out!

Not only that but I was told I would be considered as a no-show and charged the associated fees because 'other people could have booked'. Of course they are keeping the class fee that's completely understandable but they are telling me (in person 7 minutes after my class started) that they will be charging me a 'No Show' fee even though I am standing in front of them while the class is going on. They refused to check us off as having showed up even though it was clearly obvious they were capable of doing so but just taking a hard stance behind it would go against 'policy' For first time client experiencing B/Spoke I really am disappointed how we were treated. I get that we can't enter because we are late, and of course the class payment would be forfeited as well, I am not expecting a refund but don't gouge customers for no show fees while they are standing your gym late for a class that is going on. Highly recommended that policy be changed online. Pretty bad customer experience.

In short, I've always been a fan. They're consistently a great studio experience regardless of location and I have always loved the staff I've encountered. Being on the cape this weekend to run Falmouth, I decided to pop into a HIIT Strength class at the Cape House with Ashley. And oh my goodness, it was amazing! Absolutely loved the programming and absolutely loved Ashley's energy! Such a great class. I never thought I could lot a mat HIIT class like I loved this one. Even the fellow classmates were great and high energy. If you're on the cape and looking for a stellar experience, run - don't walk - to Cape House. I wish they still had the wide grip lat pull down bar, as it is hard to use the machine to get a wide enough grip to target the lats without over using your upper traps. But why quibble over trifles? I got two great workouts in and felt right at home in a very welcoming community. The owner, Sara, was very friendly and quick to respond on email. The coach, Jo, was knowledgeable and motivating and put an emphasis on demonstrating movement standards and scaling. One interesting aspect of CMV is that they always have two WODs you can choose from- as a drop-in I definitely appreciated being able to choose the one that worked best for me on those days. The gym is small but well equipped and with a great outdoor space and two workouts they were able to accommodate a large class (over 20) with no problems. If you live in MV and are looking to pick up Crossfit or are an experienced Crossfitter looking to drop in while on vacation I highly recommend giving Crossfit Martha's Vineyard a try!

Like the CrossFit gym I'm used to at home in Oregon, her program attracts very fit people to those who are just starting out or back on a fitness journey. It was fun to see that she herself had competed at the Regional level. And she participated in parts of our 6am class, maybe as an extra. She took lots of videos - not sure where those get posted but it would be fun to see them!
