They offer many classes throughout the day and convenient times with a variety of instructors (which can be good or bad depending on your perspective). They also offer many weekend workshops for those who want to further their practice. My only negative is that most of the classes are not very intensive. Most classes are along the lines of "gentle flow", "slow flow", "restorative flow" and the like. This is good for those who really relish the meditative benefit of yoga and aligning energies but if you're looking for a calorie burner or classes that are really going to push you to take your yoga game to the next level, these don't fit the bill. Even their "power yoga" I rarely break a sweat at. I guess I'm used to my old studio in W. Palm Beach that started the intensity level at a 5/10 and you could ratchet it up or take it down from there accordingly. Most classes here are only a 2 or 3 and there are rarely opportunities to take more challenging poses if that's what you're into. From a mental/spiritual aspect, this is a good studio but if you want a good workout from your yoga practice you might have to look elsewhere. read more

Gorgeous, welcoming place in a convenient location between downtown and south Fort Myers. The space is decorated with loving attention to detail -- there's even a little tea/snack area and retail space for yogi accessories. Large and diverse schedule, offering classes for all levels of experience. Instructors are personable, give individual attention/suggestions, and answer questions. Love that there is a system to indicate willingness to receive physical adjustments during a class (by placing a small glass stone at the top of the mat). The small touches -- such as chanting at the end of classes, or hearing crystal bowls being played, or resting with an eye bag in Savasana -- are really what fortify and enhance the experience and evoke the yogic way of life. It is an inviting, friendly and loving place where anyone can walk through the doors and feel good about doing yoga- all ages, shapes, sizes and physical ability. I love everything about the Bird! Everyone is welcoming! Classes are varied. I attend their 6am classes everyday and it is perfect. I love Jean teaching yoga 2 every Thursdays. And the teachers are accommodating. Tried the pilates on the mat class too! They always have something going on-- workshops, bingo and baseballs. My daughter and I took an awesome power yoga class here the other night and we loved the class, the space, and the people. No pressure, very flowing and open practice.
