I met with Nadia the owner, and she has such a classical additional respect in her teaching of yoga. We started this class with restorative yoga using postures to heal the body and create a sense of calm. We moved into a gentle hatha and transitioned to our painting segment for a time and finishing with a beautiful guided Nidra meditation. The studio offers Yin, Vinyasa, Hatha, & Ariel yoga.

There's a good variety of classes, including aerial which is awesome. The only thing that is kind of a bummer is my work schedule is pretty crazy and I would love more late evening classes that aren't only of the more meditative variety, or earlier classes that I could do before work. I feel like I can't go as much as I would like to bc of that, or I miss out on classes I want to take the most bc the schedule doesn't ever rotate and I can only take the same classes that are available with my schedule so it would be nice if things just rotated every now and then so it varied slightly. But again, these are just some simple suggestions and I absolutely love this studio and everything about it. It's really ignited my passion with yoga and given me a safe and comfortable space to enhance my practice and be a healthier, happier version of myself, inside and out. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and I always recommend it to everyone and anyone interested in getting into yoga. I just wish I could go more!

This community is a home to those who want to learn about mindfulness meditation and the art of living a mindful life. The inspiration for the teaching come from Thich Naht Hanh and the Buddha's teaching. They offer classes, workshops, a full day of meditation, different retreats and more. Some classes are donation base, some are not. Overall it's open for anyone in the community. I used to come more often to the weekly meditation on Sundays but then I got busy teaching at the same time it was offered. I try to come once in a while to the monthly Saturday meditation day. It's once a month on a Saturday from 9-4. They offer some meditation, then walking meditation, then Darmha talk ( teaching) lunch etc. everything is done in silence... This review is a long time coming…read more For the short period of time I called N. Fort Myers home, I'd start Sunday mornings at the Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center. It was a low period in my life, having moved to an area where abhorrent politics and the people it attracts, permeated everyday life. Gen Kelsang Namdrol, the kindest person ever, led sessions using Buddhist principles to establish balance and personal harmony. I can't tell you how helpful her talks and meditations were to me. As their website states, this is 'meditation and modern Buddhism for everyone' regardless of one's religion or belief system. Donations are $12 per class or $40 for the month. Nothing to sign or commit to; just show up. I suspect you'll walk out feeling as good as I always did. Namaste.
