My friend and I stopped in this afternoon to check out some plants for our home. Instantly I felt…read morelike I was in heaven!! Pretty plants of all sizes lined up along from the floor to shelves. The ladies working there were so nice and helpful- without being overwhelming. They answered questions we had and were so helpful in picking out the right plants we wanted. I'm still very new with being a plant mom so this was a much needed experience for me. I ended up purchasing a calathea family plant. The plant itself cost $26 and another $26 for a nice pot. This is a medium sized plant so I found that this was a good price. They pot it for you and this was a life saver for me! You can also choose what pot you'd like if you the plant is in a different pot (not potted) on display. There are some quality pots that can cost $$ but there are so many options, which I appreciated the most. I'm all about supporting local small businesses. I'm so happy that near west side has a cute plant shop like Jewelweed that I look forward to coming back to!!

I ordered 14 yards of pulverized topsoil. All I got was 14 yards of large clumps and a clay pot in…read morepieces along with branches of sorts. This project was supposed to take me a week at max, but has now gone on for more than two weeks. Every wheel barrel full of soil needs to be sifted. I had to devise my own way of sifting and instead of being able to just spread the soil in the yard, I must take at least 10 minutes to 15 minutes to fill a wheelbarrow and then I'm able to spread it. After the sifting, it is still not what I would consider pulverized. If I'm going to use all this soil the way I need to, I'm going to need to find a way to crush all the leftover clumps. The only reason I'm giving 2 instead of 1 star is because delivery was on time and fast. Also, I want to add that I did call customer service, and they did give me back half my money when I complained. Though, the more I work on this, the more I wish I had gone with someone else or bought it by the bag at Home Depot.

If you have a plant that's no longer sparking joy anymore, had some propagated baby plants, planted too many seedlings, want to educate locals about something you're interested in (plant related) then drop off whatever you'd like to give to people who share your love of plants and post about it in the group so others know there's goodies up for grabs! Other local plant libraries have proven to be popular so let's make this one another great one!
