RIPOFF!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!! I was charged $250 two times to program an ECM, which could never be…read moredone, but strangely I took the ECM to Spartan Autoworkx and paid $65 and had it done correctly on the spot. That's right. $65!!!! When I revealed what I had paid, he the owner couldn't believe it! *to be continued* Although this review is late, the amount of time (five months) that my vehicle stayed there makes up for the delayed review. Before I begin, I will accept fault for allowing my vehicle to stay there for that long. I dropped my vehicle off the third week in September of 2017 with a request to have it ready as quickly as possible. After continuously being told that i needed a tune-up after i continuously told them that i had already had one, i was finally issued an answer mid-November, that the ECM was bad, which would be a very expensive job. My immediate question of response was an inquiry about purchasing one online. I was told by the owner, Bill, that that wasn't possible. Seriously??? EVERY car part is available for purchase online or through a third-party. Of course, I had no problem locating a part. I went to the shop to verify the part with Bill and was told, "yup...that's the part." Given his statement, I ordered the part. This was in November. From there, I was informed of a $250 charge to program it, which had to be paid upfront. Okay. I waited until December for an answer. From there I learned that I had the incorrect part and that I needed to come by and take a picture of the ECM as the numbers had to be an exact match for the vehicle (This is what should have been explained upfront on my initial visit when I approached him with the picture of the part). I did just that. From there, in December, I ordered the correct ECM with the correct number. I had to wait until February (Yes. Now it has been close to five months) because I was constantly told "Oh. I'm getting to it... We've been busy." Oh I am going to wait and do it with other cars to do them all at the same time (this translates into "I am going to charge everyone $250 while I pay a one-time fee for access to a day of programming...SCAM...what a nice turnover for him off of the backs of customers). Strangely, this part couldn't be programmed either. Meanwhile, I was online researching and ran across Spartan Autoworx that programmed my part for $65 (that's a drastic difference from $250). As aforementioned, the part was immediately programmed. When I returned the part to Bill with the simply instructions, I was told that he wouldn't be doing it due to the fact that he had to pay someone to read instructions on one page. Given the amount of time that he held my vehicle (again, I should have never allowed that ), the right thing for him to have done would have been to install the part. He then asked when i would be having my vehicle removed! Wow! When I set up for the vehicle to be towed, I was informed that the vehicle would not be released until I paid an additional $250 for failed programming. My immediately brought up how he misfed me information the first time and how there should not have been a charge for that first time, given that he provided me with the incorrect information. I spoke with three people about this, expressing my concerns, including Bill's son, Mike, the manager, where I was told that I had to pay...bottom line. I told Spartan Autoworx about the situation, and was told it would be done for free. I had the vehicle towed there where, again, he installed it right on the spot. From there, he referred me to an auto shop, Affordable Auto Care, up the road, which was the best thing that could have ever happened. The vehicle was towed there and the next day I received a call with a diagnosis (fuel injector 5 needed to be misplaced). I couldn't believe it. The following day I was informed that my vehicle was ready. Three days versus five months. They clearly lack decorum and ethics. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The fact that it was okay to push my vehicle aside to "get it to when they got to it" is simply insane.

They repaired two for me the first they fixed it, but then they came back and said that I needed a battery. I had just purchased a brand new battery with a lifetime warranty. My husband picked up my car and a battery with them I had my receipt and paperwork. To my new battery that was in my glove box I knew was some bullshit. Secondly, they repaired a second vehicle. I went in complaining about a certain noise with my steering column and also a clicking they said that they repaired it and charge me for what they said they repaired when I got home I drove the quite to work the night was still there in the morning. You probably need new tires. Your tires are all back. The price they quoted me was unbelievable. So we went to Dobbs and got a better deal. I started to call them the next day cause the noise was still there the next time I will be taking my car to the dealer.
