I've been here a few times and wondered if they were still in business and there, they were. They haven't changed a bit. They are tastefully decorated in living room sets that are retro. We are shopping for a love seat so my husband sat in all of them hoping to find one. He liked the red minimalist one the most. The only thing is it looks like it might fold out to a futon, but it doesn't and we really need one for when my mother in law comes to visit and other visitors. They have so many items that I kept pointing to and saying "We used to have one of these." The most memorial items were the Pyrex, which my parents still have and a rotary phone which my parents still have just in case the electricity goes out. They also have the push button one and my parents have one of those too. My parents request to keep their land line and just have the local plan which they use to call their friends. They are afraid the power will go out and they won't be able to call anyone for help. And the power does go out in the winter on a regular basis where they live so this is really good for them. The new phones all use electricity. This shop also has lots of cases of jewelry and their broaches were on display on a mine mannequin. They were very sparkly, but I didn't have the time to really browse as the furniture took up most of my time. As we were finishing up my husband made the comment that he really needs to bring his sister and her husband here as she loves these types of store. They are planning on visiting so we'll be taking her here and to Zocalo too as shopping bring on a appetite.

I got a bit overwhelmed at one point and just tried to find my way back to the front of the store since this place is also 2 stories! Beautiful glass displays, teacups, mirrors, artwork, furniture - you name it! Some items were marked pretty high in price, but I did find some decently priced items as well. Staff were nothing special - not friendly or welcoming. I don't even think any of them said hello or asked if they could assist. Just a bunch of old men chatting away. It's easy to spend a few hours looking through all the different vendors, especially when there is so much cool stuff to see! There's everything from clothes, shoes, accessories, and home decor, all the way to vintage tech, scary looking dolls, and food trucks! Now some of the vendors give really great deals on their stuff, others have things prices waaaaay higher than what it's worth. Either way, it's fun to look around at everything. I told him that I needed to go and check out their collection for myself! I am so happy we did - Magnolia Antiques and Home Interiors is massive! I actually couldn't remember where one of the items I wanted was located at one point. They had a huge collection of Uranium glass all over the building! I did multiple loops checking out everything before finally settling on a plate and a set of salt and pepper shakers! Pricing on most items were fair! I honestly wanted to buy everything I saw. Staff were also friendly enough and helpful! They had so many amazing items for sale - I couldn't list them all if I tried. The moment I found my first treasure, an older employee was right there to take it to the front, and I appreciated having my hands free to continue shopping. A short time later, my husband took another item off the wall for me, and within less than a minute the same employee appeared again to take that item as well. At that point, I still hadn't realized we were being watched so closely. Then she asked if she could take the small white paper bag I had from a vendor across the street and hold it at the front. I had already been in the store for about 30 minutes and had only selected two items to purchase, so I found it odd that she seemed concerned about my small bag. I agreed, and she asked for my name to label it. We continued browsing, but when she came back again asking for my phone number "so I wouldn't forget my bag," I had had enough. The constant attention made me feel like I was being treated as a potential shoplifter rather than as a customer. If theft is a concern, install cameras or use other security measures. Making paying customers feel like they're under surveillance throughout their visit is not good customer service. I love visiting antique stores, but this was the most uncomfortable shopping experience I've ever had. Unfortunately, Antique 57 in Sacramento failed this customer.
